I've never understood the "that's only for the cage" guys. If Cliff could smoke you with a ref present then imagine how his skills would be applied without someone telling him not to strangle you with your own pants.
@TechandTools1

To add on to that, he would need minimal "street" training and be unstoppable. He's a big skilled weapon, who already has a solid foundation of fighting. I agree 100%, no referee or rules, you would get killed easily if he wanted to seriously kill you. I mean literally killed, someone who hasn't trained doesn't understand how easy it is, especially for someone his size and skill set, to literally beast someone to death. I'm no expert, but I trained mma for a few years and I've thrown around guys way bigger than me. I'm like 140 lbs 5' 6". Sorry to ramble, but you a spot on and half the people who comment that dumb stuff haven't put in the hard work and pain to understand that.

Why do people keep coming back to this channel? Why do people sign up to take Mike's classes??? Because, Mike has that secret "it" factor that so many instructor's lack. He doesn't take himself so seriously that he intimidates and he knows how to make learning fun! I wish I lived in the area and could attend his dojo.

Surprisingly most times I've fought were in tight spaces like hallways, packed parking lots and trains. It got me thinking, what if they made an MMA tournament with a rectangular hallway-ish shaped cage? How would the techniques change? What fighting styles would be more effective? How fast would matches be? It'd be a super interesting experiment

Next on "Elevator Wars": knees, elbows and headbutts galore. random stomping when someone goes down and some weird fucking jiu-jitsu that might or might not be Japanese or even Brazilian 😂😂😂. The box should be transparent... so you can see. Problem is safety... can't ref that properly, can't stop it in time when it's critical. It is going to be a sweaty smelly fucking thing in there. No athlete would want to do that. While your idea sounds fun, it might not be practical 😁. You only had to fight in tight spaces because you ran away and got into a dead end, brother... been there already 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Nobody WANTS to fight like that.

When you have that whizzer kick/uchi mata type position around 5:30 you can also go for kicking/sweeping the front leg out or turn and knee to the head (if its legal in your ruleset and their hand isn't grounded etc.). I really like doing that cause even if they don't go down it might bring their other foot out from the wall to maintain balance on one foot, and sets up for other trips and stuff.

palm strike to the base of the skull where it joins the neck could be a good distraction for a few moments so they dont notice your actual escape plan (whatever that may be) but other than that it isnt going to do much Strikes wont help you much from there, cant really end the fight with them from here. You need to change position, maybe try rotate your hips out so they arnt flat on the car, try get a T position on him instead of him having one on you Also something like grabbing the neck line of the tshirt you could try a lapel choke with it or maybe lift it over his head so he cant see which might make him let go with one arm for a moment

@@snazdogdbfan251 Sure, it does. But still, I'd rather see striking. Failing that, then some interesting BJJ. The last thing I want to see is some douche pushing someone up against the cage until even the ref gets bored and breaks them up. I think about it like this: If I have someone pressed up against the cage, I can do one of two things- keep pressing them up against the cage, or step back and strike them. You mostly see the first when the cardio is just not there.

Do this again showing the detainee throwing elbows, punches, and crushing a handful of nuts. Hands to the face and fingers to the eyes. Street fights are brutal and dirty. The last one I was in, about a year ago now, homie pulled a knife. I've faced guns, knives, bats, bicycle chains, tire irons, golf clubs, pool cues, and forks. I've been bitten, scratched, had guys try to poke my eyes out, and of course the obligatory nut shot. Be careful, and aware. And try not to get into fights. Smh. I should take that advice myself.
