I agree 100% about the movie. I don’t understand how she talks about Elvis being the love of her life, but she keeps telling these stories. She wasn’t an angel herself. If she was that unhappy, why didn’t she leave. I don’t believe her stories. I will always love Elvis & his music. Graceland is a beautiful place & so peaceful. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ TCB⚡️⚡️⚡️

I think what is wrong with these movies is that no one on this planet can make Elvis look bad and they don't get that yet. His character speaks for itself despite changing the script. I was 17 when Elvis died I'm 65 now and no movie will ever change my fond thoughts and respect for him. I feel Elvis is a precious soul. I know in my heart where he is and how he is. It's better than good. 💙

Piece of WORK, you're too kind. I'd say piece of 💩. Pri$$y only cares about herself. To sue granddaughter Riley immediately after Lisa's death. What a cr@p grandmother, instead of helping family - haul them to court. Lisa was preventing movie from being released. As soon as Pri$$y literally had the plugged pulled on Lisa at the hospital, big rush on movie release. And Pri$$y pretending it was Sophia Coppola's vision while she had the last word as executive producer. If movie was well received, she'd be taking credit like crazy. Now that it's viewed as "hatchet job" she blames it on Sophia's vision.

She was almost 18 when she moved to Memphis, an age of an adult, and in an era when you married young. In the 50s/60s the average age to get married was around 20. Cher was 18 when she got married in 1964 to Sonny, who was 11 years older and lots of other people did the same in this era. It was a social norm of the time.

Priscilla always dressed up as an older woman as a teenager and in the movie she is dressed up like a little girl. Besides Sofia specifically picked a grotesquely tall man to visually show a lack of balance in the relationship (clap if you want to please the me-too movement). Sofia distorted the narrative on purpose.

I went & saw Priscilla, back in 2005 or 2006 when she came Australia, She made a comment about the outfit I had on, and I informed her that my partner at the time had chosen and purchased it for me( in an attempt to see me more girly girl, and less of a Ozzie Redneck), on hearing my reply Priscilla tried to impart advice on not allowing him to tell me how to dress etc, as I would experience a loss of my identity,as she had for many years, I knew straight away who she was referring too. Steam must of been blowing out my ears, as I snapped "Watch it Lady, that beautiful man is not here to defend himself, So you;d better hold your tongue". Arrogantly, she replied with " Oh, you're one of them", not knowing what she meant by this, and fearing I'd want to smother her with one of her cushions, I decided to leave,but not before reminding her of the fact, If it were not for Elvis, she would be no one, and that she be thankful to him, and show some respect for the life that he provided forher,

I give you all credit for even watching the Priscilla movie. Lisa had read the script and said that was not the father she knew and she would come out and condemn it when ut was shown. Also, EPE did not allow Elvis's music to be played because they did not approve of this movie. I am 86 and Elvis's generation, so I saw him when he first became popular and how magnificent he was, so I did not see the elvis movie and I sure as he'll was not going to see a movie that disparaged him. Priscilla will not let go of elvis and will get every cent she can out of the Presley name. I agree, showing the elvis actor who was 6foot, 5 inches against little old Priscilla at 5 foot 1 inch was a hlucination. Priscilla is a LIAR and deceitful and a gold digger and I am sorry riley is allowing her to be buried in Graceland if Priscilla was as miserable as she said she was.

Don't have much respect for them not checking on her more often but they believed her lies...an she continues to lie. Seems like she has always been a LIAR and after every cent she could milk out of him while he was alive and now dead too. Doesn't she have family she could be buried with. It's so simple... she just wants to be remembered as Elvis is. She doesn't care about Graceland or being next to her daughter..she could care less. She knows, after her death, she will be forgotten and she can't accept this. She wants to be Mrs Presley also after death, with the hope of thousands of people walking in front of her grave crying and missing her. Let's hope someone can stop this stupid request, since Riley was so weak to agree 😐 It would be terrible for Graceland and unrespectful for Elvis's memory.

I hate that young people believe that it was true. I hate that she thinks she can create her own reality. We fans will see that she lies. I am her age I remember it. Yes, unfortunately there are a lot of young women now who are part of the me too movement who were very offended by Elvis in this movie and turned against him and they didn’t realize that the depiction didn’t give the whole picture and also the me too-era now are out of context for the times that he and Priscilla were in back then. Young people looking at this situation and getting upset about a couple in the 1960s and early 1970s who weren’t hitting it off or who perhaps sad one person being a little more controlling than another and yet the one who wasnot as controlling seemed to only care about getting whatever perks, benefits and money she was going to get. What about that aspect of the relationship? that’s the impression I’ve always had about Priscilla and this movie only enhances my theory of her as an aggressor + driven by the $$$$$$$$$$ perks she would obtain and maybe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s by her being with Elvis but I’m a much older person and I don’t look at things the way that an 18 to 2530-year-old looks at them.

Unfortunately I think Priscilla was just trying to make a buck..... She said the exact same thing about the Elvis movie. "It's like living my life all over again." Honestly, any woman with just an ounce of pride would not have wanted to stay married to Elvis after he was with the first woman behind her back must less the 5th, 10th, or 20th. Any woman that would stay with that being done to her would not be a woman but a Puppet. Can't blame Priscilla for leaving Elvis, but I can blame her for trying to tarnish his image. Her book and now this movie is simply Revenge for all his affairs and his dismissal of her while she was at Graceland.
@freddiecalabro
@freddiecalabro 4 ай бұрын
@@bobbyhunt3009 Priscilla knew Presley cheated on her very early in the relationship. They even had a 2 day fight which many people spoke about when he was having a serious love affair with Ann Margret. Then, she gets her parents to come from Germany where her stepfather threatens Elvis with a press conference when he is willing to embarrass Elvis over his relationship with his daughter. The Colonel FORCED them to marry with AnnMarget marrying a few days later. Priscilla went on to multiple affairs in the marriage including the final one with her karate instructor who left his wife and kids for her. Bottom line: she knew Elvis was a whore master and she was a whore. She slept with the guy who brought her to the party to meet Elvis. She had a rep for being a whore with many men in Germany and presented herself to Elvis as a virgin because he stated to her on many occasions that he wanted a virgin. And I do believe that most women would have wanted to marry Elvis. Because in the heat of the moment, you are not going to sit down and think about the difficulties of the marriage. You are overwhelmed by the little girl’s dream of being married to Elvis. READ THE BOOK CHILD BRIDE BY SUZANNE FINSTAD. SHE SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE BOOK CHILD HUSTLER. That would have covered the TOTAL accomplishments of Priscilla. BY THE WAY, she did interview Priscilla and was NEVER sued when published.

At least she is a little kinder and more realistic (with one exception that she has apologized for misrepresenting.)

There’s never going to be a movie made that will show and tell the truthful story because these producers only ever get one side of the story of elvis’s life and unfortunately the story they get comes from someone who only tells lies to benefit herself. I watched the movie two days ago I thought it was stupid and boring! It has to be weird and hurtful for you to know the truth n truly love and care about elvis and that part of your family and then watch all these movies of LIES! Bless you for ALWAYS being truthful and standing up for elvis the way you do! ❤

EPE did not sanction this movie so that says a lot in my opinion. They must have seen that it was going to put a bad light on Elvis. Priscilla has always done a lot to try and make him look bad and her as an angel. I agree with you. She should have left and walked away before they were married. She had a choice so she is makes it look like she didn't. Personally speaking, I try not to give her much thought.

@@elvis78ale That’s my point. None of us were there so it’s all just gossip and speculation, just like the 70’s movie magazines that Elvis railed against from the Las Vegas stage. First of all, I’m no Priscilla lover but I don’t hate her either because I don’t know her. She writes about her affairs in her book and those were shown in the mini series of the book in the 80’s. The affair with Stone is mentioned in the Priscilla movie. It just doesn’t show either of them in bed with others like the Baz movie does with Elvis. You making Priscilla out to be some 14 year old master manipulator just makes Elvis look like a dumb, naive hick. Elvis was obviously smarter than that and by all evidence, was a very good reader of people. Elvis wanted to have his cake and eat it to. He wanted the virginal wife at home and to have fun in Hollywood and on the road. And I can’t really blame him. And he denied all the rumors and gossip to her. My question to all the Priscilla haters is why does Linda Thompson get a pass? I agree that she took care of Elvis and I have no problem with her but she had an affair with David Briggs when she was with Elvis. Elvis obviously had affairs with other women when he was with her. She has told stories about him that make him look bad, like saving him from drowning in soup and pulling food out of his throat and him almost killing her with a stray bullet and several other stories. Why did she stay with him so long? And then it is well known that she gave Vernon fits with the amount of money she spent and then when they broke up, she ran up her credit card like crazy. Plus Elvis was still paying for her apartment when he died.

The movie was already made when Lisa was alive but sure she would have publicly fought against it, Coppola and her mother...she wrote it in her email to Coppola. A shame she couldn't do it but at the same time it's better for her not to have seen this garbage because she already had her struggles and this would have been only another reason of sorrow and disappointment. This is what I hate most about Priscilla ..she doesn't care about people around her. The only important thing to her is to have an occasion to be under the spotlight and make money for the only reason she still can do it...Elvis. Selfish woman!!!

From the Trailers alone they wanted the impressionable young female audience to feel intimidated and uncomfortable on behalf of Priscilla by having someone play Elvis more than a foot taller than the actress playing Priscilla. Once they had achieved that, the rest was a walk in the park. For instance, I am absolutely convinced that the Elvis Movie was a deliberate pre-cursor to this movie, simply to plant in the audiences minds that Elvis was aggressive, mean, nasty and angry all the time, so that when it was shown in THIS movie against Priscilla it would be believed because everyone had raved about the Elvis Movie being accurate and so on. Given what we've been told and shown, I think the Elvis Movie is almost as much of a travesty as this Priscilla movie in regards to portraying Elvis Presley the Man. In Priscilla's book she claimed in the FIRST CHAPTER that Elvis became the PASSION of HER life. That to me explains almost, if not everything about Priscilla's motivations. It is a strange thing to confess to. Elvis did not become the Love of her life, her friend, her lover, her confidante, no Elvis became the PASSION of HER Life. It jarred me so much because it immediately screamed obsession, possessive, determination and doing whatever it took to have Elvis Presley HER King of Rock 'n' Roll. When you look into what Priscilla has had to say and what she has done over the years I believe that alone reveals far more her motivations than any book, movie or anything others have had to say or still say about her. There is nothing more revealing than that from the horses mouth and her book, her interviews and all of her actions over the years reveal it all. She is a manipulative, passive-aggressive, narcissistic sociopath - and that's not me name calling, that's simply all the symptoms Priscilla has openly displayed to the public since 1964 - most recently and probably especially taking Riley Keogh to court for money and prestige not two weeks after Riley had lost her MOTHER and Priscilla had lost HER DAUGHTER. Where is the love Priscilla claims her actions were motivated by? Where is the love? Her actions are catagorically devoid of any kind of Love but she wants you to believe it was all about Love. Hands up anyone who would have done what Priscilla did to their own Grandaughter at such a time in their life out of Love?

Elvis picked me up and walked me around and talk to me and introduced me to people he was a very nice man very sweet. I did buy Priscilla‘s book Elvis and me when it first came out. I still have it. I haven’t read it in decades but I knew that this movie was gonna be bad. I didn’t see a review on the movie Elvis, but my review of the movie, Elvis was sickening , I didn’t like it, so I surely was not going to see this woman’s movie at all. What she did to Lisa after the passing of her father, how this poor girl lived was ridiculous. I am hoping that Priscilla cannot be buried at Graceland. She didn’t live there that long, and she is not part of the Presley family she doesn’t deserve any recognition, but should be held accountable for the lies that she has put on Elvis That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it Take care and God bless

I felt so sorry for the actors, specially after watching Piers Morgan's interview, where PP avoided by all means giving her opinion on the movie - she just gave excuses and the impression that Sofia Coppola got it all wrong. There was no chemistry between the actors. There were scenes in which they seemed to not know what to do. And Theresa is absolutely right - the real pictures of the 'family' together are gorgeous. The movie showed a scared Lisa Marie - which she was (she'd rather be with her nanny, as PP's book reveals) - and out-of-place parents.

Everything in this movie is distorted in a bad and sad way. You just have to make a comparison with the real pics and footage to realize it wasn't that bad in many moments. He paid for her school, driving lessons etc and bought her family gifts such as cars for her brothers. Yet they accuse him of cheating on her, with co-stars such as Ann-Margret (that was Priscilla's biggest threat). What did they expect a young man of his age and Greek God good looks to do and on top of that he is called a paedophile.@@southerngirl9941

To be accurate, she was six weeks from turning 18 when she came to originally live with Vernon and Dee. But no way would my mother ever allow me at 14 to go to a party of grown men/GIs! Not even for Elvis Presley!! But I do think or believe if that were the opportunity for me to meet him at his home, then she would have gone with me rather than deny me the chance. I know my mother would not have allowed someone outside of my family to have chaperoned me, just because it was in someone's private home and the people who would be attending. But I personally do not believe that whole story anyway. I think when Priscilla first met Elvis her stepfather used his rank and position in the military to get in touch with Elvis and invited him to dinner at his home. Elvis was a people pleaser by nature and wanted to be a good soldier. Priscilla's stepfather was a Captain. no soldier wants to insult an officer that outranks him. There are pictures from that evening of Elvis showing up in his uniform and bringing his daddy with him. Most if not all people who have an opportunity to meet a celebrity, especially someone as famous as Elvis, and a 14-year-old would be even more star-struck, would have had their picture taken together, more so if they believe it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There is one picture of Elvis with Priscilla taken in Germany, Elvis is looking away talking to someone and Priscilla is looking right at the camera! Elvis just did not seem interested or infatuated with the few pictures there were of them together in Germany except maybe the one where he is feeding her cake. But even that one seems more cutesy than putting more into it. I just really think he thought more of her as a kid sister than some "love of his life" myth Priscilla has created.

I agree, and that was how she acted! I know she is Lisa Marie's mom, but the way she treated Lisa Marie, Elvis, and Michael Jackson her once son in law, all make me not like Priscilla at all. She took her other son in law Lockwood's side over Lisa's in the divorce, and he was stealing from Lisa, and she didn't believe Lisa when she said she found horrific pictures on his computer of children. Priscilla sure caused her daughter a world of pain with her choices. (like Scientology.)

In this movie is an empty doll, boring, depressed, with only sex in mind, without any personality and depth. If she was really like that, I'm not surprised Elvis didn't want to spend time with her. This movie is flat from any point of view...the director couldn't care less about their real relationship. I think this movie was character assassination. It made Elvis look abusive and like a predator and was the complete opposite of what I've heard from all the books I've read and interviews I've watched from first hand accounts. People that are already fans will know this is not the Elvis we love. My fear is younger generations seeing this and him being hit with the cancel culture mentality. Why is this film trying to change history? Even if there was a falling out or hurt feelings... why would Billy and Jo Smith be left out? Patsy Lacker? Elvis' life was extraordinary and whether we like someone or not you don't get to change history to push a narrative. Even Ann Margaret was blamed in this movie for leaking info to magazines. Any interview with her where she is asked about Elvis she will hardly say two words because she wants to protect him. Lisa Marie was going to speak out about this film according to a Vanity Fair article where she emailed Coppola and tried to get her to stop pushing this story line about her dad. This movie really made me sad.

I have to ask you Billy if you worked securtiy by the gift shop and around the Lisa Marie plane in 1988. Iask this because my car broke down going to the Monsters of Rock concert at the Liberty Bowl. I didnt plan on going to Graceland but I was stuck and did some tourist stuff around Beale st. The people I spoke to about Graceland told me I needed to go to hear the real story of Pricilla, her opening if Graceland and listen to true people who knew Elvis. I really feel like I spoke to you. Pretty sure you were one of the names I was given. When you said that part about them having love but not being in love, it reminded me of the guy I spoke to. He was head of security and extremely busy. It was over by the plane. He gave me some other people to talk with because he had little time. If that was you, (as you can tell from my concert choice, Elvis wasn't the top of my musical choices) I want you to know that my trip to Graceland that day made me speak out against Elvis through Pricilla fog. Thank you and all those who would speak out back then. BTW didnt Elvis's nice go to live at Graceland with Pricilla would have someone her age as company? We are losing so many of the people who were there. There is prob. noone around Graceland who would speak out like they did back then. True words from those who lived with Elvis and his true kindness. I refuse the see the movie. I find it quite funny that a relative to Lisa's ex husband Nick Cage (Copela) directed it. Plus Pricilla qlready has a movie out of that s book. Nothing like beatin a dead horse. I absolutly loved Lisa and her music though. A beutiful soul who showed her mom respect in public. Her grace and professionalism was extrordinary. With everything she went through, it's quite obvious she learned alot from fer father. His spirit walked with her until she went to meet him. Prayers to your family and all those left to ho know the truth about q true southern gentaman named Elvis.

Danny & Theresa, I’m just a old fashion southern country girl from Kentucky, been married to my husband for 39 years the 8th day of March this year. My opinion of Priscilla is she played on Elvis feelings, he was vulnerable, he just lost his Mother, she & her family saw dollar signs, that’s why they let her do what she wanted when she wanted, her father & her pressured him into marrying her. Then to make sure she had a hold to Elvis, she got pregnant as soon as she could. We are Elvis Fans For Life❤️❤️!!

That movie is based on her book, Elvis and Me, and all she wrote about was the marriage, not anything about her life after Elvis. It really bothered me how they chose actors so unlike the actual people, just visually - Elvis was not 6'5" tall, and Priscilla is not 4'11" and he did not tower over her like that. Yes he was taller, but not like that. They did it to make it look like he was all powerful and she was a young innocent victim. I saw the trailer where she looked like a fresh faced child without any makeup at all, and Priscilla never looked like that.

No, not anything about her life after Elvis, and neither about the age differences between her and some of her boyfriends. I believe Garcia and Edwards were much younger than her 😊. About the differences in height of the actors Coppola probably thinks it's art to demonstrate it like this. To me it's just ridiculous and embarrassing because it's so obvious! Who falls in that trap I wonder ...

I think Pricilla was the aggressor after reading Child Bride she had a plan I'm sure Elvis was attracted to her but she was on a mission and I feel like at first Elvis was drawn to her innocence so to say but after getting to know each other over time i don't think she turned out to be the kinda of person he wanted long term and I don't think he was the kinda of person she thought he was I think she was turned off by his spirituality and the things that interested him I don't think they were a good fit she was always drawn to the fame and fortune that Elvis brought into her life... Hard to let that go 14:56 💰💰💰💰!!! I also feel like she resented him for not wanting her like she wanted him to...Anyway Elvis Presley was and will always be a beautiful Soul....there will never be another one like him he is loved ❤❤❤❤❤

Well said she moved on very quickly, had an affair with a married man with children and a pregnant wife, lived with another man for 20 years had his son then all of a sudden when it was evident that his memory would never fade he has become the 'love of her life' give me a break.

I read Child Bride when it first came out and I was creeped out by it. All the speculating about a 14 year old’s virginity was very disturbing. And then the author was taking the word of a guy that was proud to admit to having sex with a 14 year old. Elvis must have really been naive if he could be manipulated by a cunning 14 year old. Doesn’t make him look too smart. Also the Child Bride book paints Elvis in a terrible light as well. So if you are going to believe it, then you have to believe what it says about Elvis too.

It's been awhile since I went with a friend who wanted to see it. It was low budget, low light, depressing. The casting was bad with that height difference. They made it look like Priscilla was maybe 5 feet tall and Elvis was like 6 foot 6. So, he looked like he could pick her up, and throw her if he wanted. It was just a way to make more money 💰 for Priscilla. And to make Elvis look mean and controlling. And where was Lisa when Priscilla left? It was like she was... well... nowhere. Thanks for the videos Danny and Theresa ❤

Why would anyone want to tarnish the business they are building up? Graceland has been expanding throughout the decades and it relies on the fans who visit over the years. If you trash the legend to a younger audience and turn them off, you’re risking destroying the future of Graceland in a business sense. It’s absolutely bizarre anyone in EPE would allow this negative publicity risk the tremendous financial investments that are on the line. Again, I’m speaking strictly regarding the business success

I would't watch that movie, even if it's free! As far as I'm concern, I'm an Elvis fan for life! He wasn't perfect by any means, and I didn't expect the man to be? But I also don't believe all the things she said in her book either! I saw the film "Elvis & Me" years ago. I hated it for so many reasons. Just like I hated the book "Elvis What Happened". Hollywood always does that thing to every biopic film. They sensationalize the storyline to make it better? So we take from it what we want, at least I do? I've seen all of the EP biopics that I care to see in my lifetime! God bless y'all, please stay safe & happy. And keep always living Elvis... See ya's next time!

I won't watch it. From the get go, it was stated that the height difference was to make her like a little kid and him a grown man who was over-bearing. This was all about greed and $$. She's doing everything she can to be in the spot light and make Elvis look bad. I guess at 78 yr old she's running out of time. On a much happier note, I'm glad Billy is doing better but will still keep the prayers!❤
