I'm a small business (app) and I must say I wanted to buy the excel revenue model and I saw the price and hesitated as I thought it was a bit high, but I purchased anyways because it is so welll presented and clear ! Really enjoyed the video. Expected CPI for first month is 2.75 by the way, you should've increased decimals there, otherwise numbers don't add up.

I didn't see cashflow and cashflow projection. I guess it isn't that hard to include it somewhere as all the costs and revenue are there. I am rather curious how one can include actual revenue and the projection get adjusted automatically but still keep the previous projection so that you can track how accurate the projection has been and if there is any additional trend?

why does the model ask the Active users converting to a plan in the Active Users cell and in the conversion to paid cell, isn't that number the same? btw thank you for the video, its very useful

Can make a startup guide video related to funding (seed to series B) for an research and development company i.e. a mechanical or product creating company, or a automotive company? pls. make a video on these companies coz it is easier to show traction for a software based company but for a product development companies first have to make prototype, then etc.

why not use Customer Cohort Model instead of percentage based assumption for active users?

Hi Caya! Great Template and thank you for sharing this with us. I have a problem to understand something. On Active User you calculate, New, Lost and Total MAU (cumulative) that represent each month total Active Users in the App. But when you start to calculate the Total MAU - Excluding Subscribers you subtract the previous Customers Converted to Subscriptions from Total MAU. This normally will generate the remaining Total MAU with the new MAU from where you take again 15%. In this way on Month 84, Total Active Customers are 424,976, this is over the Total MAU of 372,163. For me is difficult to understand how the volume is bigger with a Conversion to Paid of 15%. To make a cleaner test, try to increase the Conversion to Paid to 100% and look over Total MAU - Excluding Subscribers and Customers Converted to Subscriptions.

14:52 your assumption that 10% monthly churn would mean that cohort is going to diminish in 10 months doesn't make sense. If I run a monthly 10% churn to a 100 subscriber cohort, it ends up with approximately 30 subscribers.
