Mobile Raised Container Planter Part 1

After a little time off, Steve is back with a project that can definitely make your gardening chores easier and more productive. His new Mobile Raised Container Planter is easy to build and will accommodate flowers, vegetables, and more. It's raised up off the ground, so no more back-breaking gardening. Keeps the rabbits out, too! It's mobile, so roll it out in the Spring and easily stow it away in the Fall. It's sized to grow vegetables for 2 to 4 people and can be placed almost anywhere... as long as there is sunshine. Container planting is environmentally sound and sustainable.
Learn tricks for quickly producing dados and working with angles... there's even a chance to learn to sew (or get someone you know to sew for you).
This is a four-part series. In Part 1 Steve builds the mobile base for the container planter by forming half-lap joints and using the mounting plates on heavy-duty wheels to join the corners. Learn to cut dados in a precise and simple way on the table saw.

Steve, spend a little more and get some flat proof tires on there as soon as you can. Harbor Freight pneumatic tires are worse than useless. Good to see you back.

Hi it's great to see you back. I is enjoy your videos, so precise and complete that I was able to make a lot of things that you have put together in your shop. People look at my stuff and think I'm the inventor but I always tell them that i watched you from day one and it's not my idea but this man puts things in perspective so that I can build stuff. Hello sir. I find great inspiration in watching your detailed videos. The planter is very timely for me as I’d love to get our garden started. If I may, I’d like to know more about your Grizzly jointer. I’m looking at the G0490X. From your video, I’m unable to determine what size bed you have. I’m guessing the 8” but the number on the front is incomplete. Would appreciate your opinion. Thanks. Dan (maker of fine sawdust and the occasional useful project)

Dan, It is an 8" model. One of the numbers on the model number fell off about the second week I had the thing, but the full model number is G0453PX with Spiral Cutterhead. It has been a great jointer.

I wonder if this hiatus was somewhat related to the infamous event of a Multi Channel Network going out of business and having all of their channels and as such the producers hanging in Limbo. But it seems al of the efforts to get the rights of the brands and stuff back to the producers does pay off, as a lot of those channels which all of a sudden stopped publishing 8 month ago slowly seem to re emerge since a few weeks. Also sure if this was the case, no one can too openly comment on this for different reasons with more than a happy "glad to be back again". Well, let´s keep it as such, glad you (and "coincidentially" some others) are back again. That have been months of finding surrogates to feed our addiction ;)
