Hey Steve, absolutely LOVE this birdfeeder, one of the best I've seen. I don't have access to wifi in my shop, at least not yet, so it's difficult to watch the video and make the project at the same time, is there any chance you can create a PDF of instructions and materials/cut list? Otherwise, I have to try to remember all the little details of this build. Thanks

Nice. Wish I could afford it. A little pricey but there aren't many good cheaper alternatives. They split manufacturing between USA and Canada so we know the quality is good. The tip-outs are made in Canada.

Question: when you cut the alignment stick, your measurement was taken at the front of the cabinet, floor to underside of cabinet slide. When you placed it at the back, were you aware that you placed it under the slide at the end (with the end bracket attached) . This measurement is slightly less due to the additional thickness of end bracket, thus raising the slide slightly out of level. It was hard to tell where the stick was placed. This wouldn’t be an issue if the cabinet didn’t have a face frame.

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzfaq.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

I watch this every few months. Like you, lots of ways to make cabinets. Noticed for the first time in multiple viewings, you didnt clamp rails for pocket hole fastening when you rotated frame. Hard to reach clamp but still pocket movement is a fact. You got lucky or used an unmentioned skill.

Great approach to grounding your PVC DC. I have been contemplating going the route of PVC (based on cost and aesthetics) but have been on the fence with the static issue. Having seen several wood workers (like Bourbon Moth) tear out their PVC due to overlooking the grounding issue, I appreciate your ingenuity here.

Here in the future (2022), Schedule 40 pipe is crazy expensive... and not just for 8 or 6 inch versions, but 4 inch as well. I went with SDR 35 (drain pipe)... about half the cost of schedule 40 PVC at any size. Much easier to cut and install as well. It may not color match the white SDR 35 fittings, as the pipe is blue/green, but who cares! 6 inch main off my Grizzly G0944 & Oneida Super Dust Deputy XL to the center of the shop, then splits to two 4 inch runs to my needed locations (with y-fittings, blast gates and short runs of flex hose to the tools). With the Oneida DD and its ability to remove 99% before it hits the Grizzly, I'm not a fan of the auto canister flapper, as it may cause too much wear and tear to the canister. You are better with it, because your separator is harder to access being upstairs.

The use of those NM cable clamps is a great idea... not only do they hold the clamp in place and allow it to adjust, but they also cradle the pipe between them and do good job keeping it in place. I built my hard duct using SDR 35 (yard drain pipe)... much cheaper than schedule 40 and works just as well. Weighs less too... easier to cut and wrangle in place.

What good does wrapping the wire around the outside of the pipe. The static electricity and dust are on the inside. The pipe is an insulator so the static electricity charge is not going through it. Also the area between the grounding screws is not having the static charge removed.

I was surprised that when you laid down and glued the spacers inside the torsion box it seemed you relied on hand pressure to fix the spacers on the large bottom panel. I wondered if this could allow some spacers to sit a tad higher than other spacers and take the torsion box top and bottom out of perfect parallel? Apparently not as you seemed happy how it turned out! But I wondered what you thoughts are as this I’d like to make one of these and it is bugging me a bit. Thank you!
