"Mobile Response Stabilization Service (MRSS) is an essential component of a comprehensive system of care (SOC) for children, youth, young adults, and their families. MRSS is an urgent mobile stabilization service that is available 24/7/365 and provides crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization in the home and community. The goal of MRSS is to provide a safe alternative to more restrictive services, and to assist the youth and family in reducing the intensity and frequency of future crises. This presentation will present an overview of the MRSS model and its context and function within a comprehensive SOC. Lessons learned from a recent statewide implementation in Ohio will be shared. By the end of the presentation, participants can expect to be able to list the core components of Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS), describe the role and function of MRSS in a comprehensive system of care, and list key considerations in the successful implementation of MRSS."
