I believe it would greatly help to renew this video in a better quality, where one can see the product better and closer als also everything applied to a small show layout with a short description, what the basic idea and usage behind a product is.

Very interesting and informative. I'm very much a novice when it comes to model railroading, and your videos (and products) are a great help. My question, though, is whether the types of undercoat can be mixed in much the same way as the variants of turf and foliage.

I'm trying these products for the first time and I might be using a grass mat before sprinkling on the turf. The scenic cement won't warp or discolor the mat will it?

There should not be any problems with warping or discoloration. Just make sure you mist the Scenic Cement instead of saturating. It may take a few applications. Mist, let it cure, then mist again.

If the scenic cement spray gets on the track and is then wiped off with a track rubber, would the track perform normally or would it get damaged?

Can you use course turf to achieve a moss look? I will be using the product on foam Halloween tombstones and want to age them with a moss look.

Actually, we recommend Fine Turf for moss.

im not sure if it looks amazing or terrible....camera is poor.. but im sure its amazing. Do you not use static grass? im trying to decided to do it or not, when i copy this video it comes out looking great, dont want to ruin it with the grass..

The quality of the video has to do with when it was originally made. This video was filmed in the 1980's! The use of Static Grass (or any other product) is entirely up to you depending on the effect you are trying to achieve. We do not currently have any videos about Static Grass, but our current instructions can be found on our website (link below). Do i need to blend the Earth/Green undercoat paint with water?

+Jack Sellmann Yes. We recommend diluting 1-part Earth or Green Undercoat (C1229 or C1228) with 2-parts water. You can add more or less water to reach your desired terrain coloring. Happy modeling!

i want to put fallen leaves on the ground rooftops etc. would fine turff be my best bet in n scale?

Hello, William. We suggest lightly applying Coarse Turf to model the appearance of leaves.

Can I use regular glue like elmers glue?

In the past, modelers have complained to us that they tried using elmers glue at the suggestion of others and have not been happy with it. Apparently, it often remains tacky and never really sets. We recommend attaching our Turf products with Scenic Cement and the Scenic Sprayer. You can try to fix the area by sprinkling on an additional layer of Turf and then misting lightly with Scenic Cement. If applying multiple layers of Turf, spray each layer with Scenic Cement to secure. Spray on a final coat of Scenic Cement to secure Turf in place.
