Got to admit that was a superb piece of work. Very reminiscent of the Swordfish attack scenes from "Sink the Bismark".

The model you made of the Fairey Swordfish is outstanding! Really really nice! I've seen plenty of people try this kind of diorama, and not one of them get it to look realistic. I know I would not try this myself so I'll give you kudos for the great effort!

Great 'movement' in the diorama but how about doing something about the stationary prop? Either motorised or depicted as spinning using some clear perspex or even the photoetched spinning props seem pretty decent. I've found that some canny paint effects on a circle of perspex is good. Make it interchsngeable with the prop itself snd you'll have the best of both worlds. Great outcome though 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Excellent! I do very similar but use black foam board for the base surround, attaching the boards before applying the sculpta mold. I use a round stainless steel rod for the support, which has a gleaming finish. I use CA glue on the top of the rod to glue it to the inner roof of the aircraft. This negates the need for the ‘plug’ and large drill-out.

Great job! I watched the Swordfish build video then this one straight afterward. I've watched the TV series 'Hornby A Model World' and most modellers there used resin for water effects so it's nice to see an alternative. Instead of having to paint the border effects again, could you make the sides /before/ you paint anything, then mask off the outside to prevent overspill, then paint the diorama in one go? Then you wouldn't have to replicate the same effects, just remove the masking tape.

Very well-done diorama! And well-done detailing how you constructed it. I wonder though; did you consider using a clear tube as the support to make it more "invisible"?

As great as the diorama looks I would have preferred a cold grey colour for the sea.

What happened to the rear gunner? I assume they didn't need one to attack the Bismarck (if that's what the scene represents) as there were no fighters around.
