I would say that there are oranges, blues, yellows, pinks, reds, greens, etc for everyone. It's less about the colour and more about the class of shade.

Deepika Padukone's dress in Dhoom Tana was an homage to Vijayanthimala's outfit in Amarpali, so I would prefer if that got the credit and appreciation that Deepika's dress gets, especially because the scene in which it is worn is one of the best in Bollywood history.

33:15 I adore Marilyn’s Orange dress in GPB it’s so timelessly glamorous, I didn’t know that she wore it multiple times outside of filming tho I did recently find out she also wore Orange lipstick (Erin Parsons-also on KZfaq collects her makeup from auctions. One of her frequently worn shades was swatched from an exact dupe on camera along with an actual pic of Marilyn wearing it and it reveals that the color is straight up pumpkin orange rather than a ruby red which many thought was the original shade) I guess she really did have a thing for orange 🍊 🧡

Yellow dresses for your consideration: - Any on the protagonist's yellow dresses in Crimson Peak, but especially the canary yellow with the black bow she wears in the creepy Manor. - Cher's iconic yellow outfit in Clueless (technically not a dress, but too iconic to ignore) - Belle's dress from the ANIMATED MOVIE (fuck the remake, that was horrible) - Kate Hudson's dress from How to Lose Guy in Ten Days - Cate Blanchett in Queen Elizabeth The Golden Age - Julia Roberts's dress and Lily Collins's dress and cape ensemble in Mirror Mirror - Scarlett O'Hara's yellow dress with red plaid underskirt. She wears it when she's hiring Prisoners for her wood mill and is discovered with Leslie by his sister India. -Ooooh, Shirley MacLaine in the start of the Lush Budgett sequence of What a Way to Go.

Hattie in ella enchanted is definitely and orange dress ill never forget. It being such and loud and boastful color in the otherwise fairly mute/pastel color design of the rest of the film is genuinely one of my favorite things about it. :) It works well for her character and clashes just enough against the rest of Hatties looks (not to mention it being the opposit color of blue on the color wheel symbolizing her opposit nature to Elle) is amazing.

While historically inaccurate, the orange dress from Cleopatra is one of the more stunning ensembles Elizabeth Taylor wore. And the Zuël dress from Ghostbusters had a lasting impression giving off an ethereal occult vibe .

My absolute favorite yellow dress has to be the one that Grace Ferrell wears in 1982’s Annie. It’s the first time we see her wear something that isn’t completely structured or business-centered, and allows her to freely move as she pleases. It’s a turning point in her character arc in the movie musical that is very clear-cut. The yellow and the lightness of the dress as she twirls and dances shows off how completely elated she is to know that they get to spend their lives with Annie. And I’ve been wanting that dress ever since I saw it.

My favorite yellow dresses are the yellow kimono from Memoirs of a Geisha, where Chiyo makes her debuts as a maiko under her new name Sayuri, and the yellow dress Cameron Diaz wore in My Best Friend’s Wedding. And Belle’s dress in the animated Beauty and the Beast, even though it is more of a gold. And some of the dresses in Mirror Mirror.

There is an eye catching duo coat and dress outfits in Down With Love. I think the fashion in Down with Love is so good and one of the best things about that movie.

If I could direct your attention to the czech 1973 movie musical “Noc na Karlštejně” (A night at the Karlstein), I think you would enjoy the heavily stylised costumes, and the “pages” (meaning the castle living, wine pouring and sword carrying kind) costumes are orange colourblock perfection.

Wow, shocked to see Gate of Hell in a video of yours! I've never met anyone else who has seen this film or talk about it online. Thank you for the extensive explanation of the cultural background behind the kimonos. Really glad to see Bollywood represented too. Personally love the wild costume design by Eiko Ishioka in Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Marilyn Monroe's Gentleman Prefer Blondes dress. Orange is a hard colour to pull off, I personally don't wear it because I don't think it's flattering for my skintone for clothing (and also it reminds me of a traffic cone) but I actually love orange themed makeup, especially for summer.

Hard to tell where the dress is red or orange or both, there was even a purple hue in one edit. Although confusing, that dress Madhubala wore from Mughal-e-Azam is my personal favorite along with Marilyn’s Gentlemen prefer Blondes dress. It was the first time I ever heard of her, and when the first song came of hers came I was mesmerized. Her looks and Nigar Sultana as well are everything in that movie.

I’d just been rewatching your red dress video & wondering when you’d drop part 2! For part 3, I would recommend Kate Hudson’s dress in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Catherine Denuves dress in Donkey Skin, Kerry Washingtons dress in The School For Good and Evil, Ariana Debose in West Side Story, and the Masquerade dress from Black Orpheus
