Perhaps it sounds contoversial but in a show about french people and Paris it might be a smart thing to keep it less diverse. Does the story suffer from it? There are bigger problems in the show

Okay but Natasha Poonawalla's look which resembles a mushroom is a wonderful nod to the theme. Mushrooms often represent death and gloom. But right now mushrooms are popular in everyday fashion. People are starting to appreciate their unique and dark beauty. I think that really aligns with the theme and I personally think the dress is gorgeous.

I recently went back and watched barbie in the princess and the pauper after years of adorkable disney princesses. Other rebranding worked because as "annoying" as I find those eras for Miley and them....they were being genuine in their confusion. Which made it have an impact on their audience. JoJo's rebrand wasn't needed, asked for and she certainly is not struggling with her transition to adult hood the same way. It's all manufactured.
