mythical enb and weather mods are from 2018, but they still hold up. they specialize on outdoors and look really really good at around windhelm adjacent areas. just wanted to drop it as an honorable mention here. thanks for the showcase.

If using Vinland Grass, keep in mind that it uses the mod Flora Orientalis, which uses 8k textures, that is the reason for its poor performance at times. There are instructions on the Flora Orientalis page with how to resize the grass, and after that, hardly any FPS impact.

Forgot the name but one mod had a 10k treetrunk texture, was ridiculous. Resizing's a good mantra to keep to for a lot of mods, you start to realise how unoptimised so many are and then it becomes a rabbit hole.

SRP Architecture and SRP Misc are part of Skurkbro's Retexture Project (SRP), if you were wondering where to find them (C'mon Mern - you can easily add this info). They are individual files that can be downloaded separately from the mod page. If you're struggling with the size of The Omnibus - Terrain Complex and it's parallax, then Skurkbro's Retexture Project also has a great landscape mod and doesn't require parallax (but is compatible with parallax if you want it) and as it is part of Skurkbro's suite of mods, patches are available to work with other popular mods. If this is your first time modding Skyrim, then follow some of the bigger modders and their AIOs (All-In-Ones), they will likely have patches to work together.

For trees I prefer The Great Forest of Whiterun Hold (its outdated, yes, but still looks pretty good. As alternative - Whiterun Forest Borealis + Alpine Forests of Whiterun Valley) + Blubbos Fantasy PineTree replacer + other Blubbos tree mods. It is more performance-friendly option for me than Ulvenwald or Wild lands, and has unusual but really good visuals. Subjectivly, of course.

This is why I wish dlss and fsr worked with enb. You get a huge performance boost when running at 1080p, but it becomes very blurry when your monitor is a higher resolution.

Use community shaders with a reshade preset. It isn't going to look as great as an ENB, but its going to get you 8/10 of the way there, its being constantly updated with new plugins, and it has a much better performance hit. It's compatible with DLSS aswell.

Yep, I wanted Skoglendi first, but it puts grass in Solstheim everywhere (and apparently many others have that issue). Good thing - Vinland fixes that. Love the Tundra with the Skoglendi grass on it. :)

I'd say I am not a great modder, just today I ran into multiple bugs/glitches just trying to install SMP clothes. But I managed to get this up and working perfectly fine alongside Vivid Landscaped parallax snow.

My brother in Talos, my game is already struggling with most of these mods and using companions with SMP hair, my only regret is not installing Traverse the Unvelwald when I started my current play through, it looks amazing, currently using 3D trees and wondering if I can switch it without problems.

I am not sure if the mod list on that Google doc, if that is in a correct order or not. I am using Vortex and I am not sure how to properly sort the load order. Does anyone know how to properly download these and which order to load all of these mods in? And how on earth do you use the ENB mod stuff? :(

@@Slickjeff Wow, welcome in the modding community ! So most of the files given in this docs only contain meshes and textures so you can basically use them in the order you want. Sometimes, some textures may be incompatible with some meshes from other mods so you have to fix it. You have to figure out by yourself. Use More informative console to learn from which mesh file come every visual bug you encounter in game. You have to play the game in order to fix it. Note that bugs caused by meshes and textures are only visual bugs and do never damage your game. You just have to fix them if you need. For ENB, just use Google but maybe look for tutorials on KZfaq. You have to install the ENB files into the game folder directly (not in data folder, not in MO2). Then chose and install a preset. Also install the requirements for this preset. I use Rudy's Cathedral Weather ENB preset.

a cool video would be about load order and in which order to add mods. i hear you regarding northern roads, it is a nightmare to work with, but so worth it. i use ulvenwald with the nature of the wildlands clutter, personally i use it because ulvenwald works with seasons. actually northern roads are not that much of a nightmare if you set it to worldspace setting in LOOT and then just put it with all the patches to the end of the load order

Whoever uses parallax and gets spikes on one particular texture, which is prominent near the Whiterun stables and presented all across the tundra - consider moving The Omnibus - Terrain Complex Parallax AiO as close to the bottom of your modlist as possible. For me it solved the problem and changed even more textures to more visually pleasant variants, overhauling the visual style even more. Sorre for me bed Englesh ;)

You say hapoy little trees is a good alternative to TTU but, the author of TTU has a mod called “wigfrids tree replacer” that is very similar to ulvenwald, but a lot more performance friendly.

I just ordered a beast laptop (rtx 4080, 2k ssd, 32go ram & amd 9 ryzen 9745x to be able to run skyrim at maximum level with all these mods. I think i will just enter to nirvana. Next week we will see.
