A talk around and tour of my Land Rover County 110 (Defender), an in depth walk around. Not our normal RAW 4x4 Off Road video but it has been requested for a long time, so here it is.
I hope you guys enjoy the video and find some benefit from the information although it may not be presented in the regular manner of a review/walkaround. Apologies for my nerves and all the umming and arring as i am unfamiliar with making this sort of video.
Please feel free to drop a comment and let me know if you need more info on any modification in the video or any that i have missed that you would like to know about.

A video on the adaptation of the salsbry and the front coil overs would be extremely interesting. I've located one out of a rusted out FC 101 just wondering if it would be worth the time, probably in combination with a Detroit stuffed in it. And coilovers aren't something seen on landrovers at all so it's very intriguing, especially with thoughts to cost and effectiveness it'd be great to have a breakdown. You've done a lot to the landrover, it's really insightful to see something done to this level of complexity it almost makes it seem compelling to do, anything you share from it is extremely educational Awesome videos as always, happy new year.

Thanks man and welcome back 👍 The transfercase rear output shaft on the lt95 is short making it unable to handle much twist before it fails, so im hoping the stockish driveshafts become the failure/weak point instead. Has the 2wd action compressor finally died, it wasn't sounding too good? Need to catch up, been far too long. GO JEEP
@lror
@lror 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely need to catch up mate, always good fun. The motor on the compressor still works but leaks more out the piston than the air line 😂 So in practice it deflates rather than pumps the tyre 🙃

Not as low as i would like sitting at 56:1 Wish an underdrive was available or low range reduction gears for the lt95 would also work.

I know the Treps are awesome off road, but how are they ON road?
@lror
@lror 2 жыл бұрын
They are really good on road in both dry and wet conditions. They are loud but not as loud as one would expect. The soft compound does wear out fast on road though.

@@lror Thanks. I'm thinking of putting some 37s on my OKA. It's got Michelin 38s on it now but I can't get them anymore.

XZL's? If so i really like them, shame you cant get them. The treps are great but definitely not value for money if you are doing a lot of blacktop kms/miles.

@@lror Nah, XMLs. Cant find XZLs on a 16 either. My XMLs are 325 x 16, ex Military. Phenomenal off road, not so much on the highway.. Probably have to go to a different rim size. BTW, I'd love to try the OKA out where you go.

@@greebo7857 years ago when i was stepping up the disco from skinny 33s i wanted a set of xzl's in 255/100r16 ( 36.4") they were hard to find as they are an XD tyres reserved for mines and emergency services. Eventually Michelin agreed to sell them to me but at over 800 a corner it's just way too much. I still love skinny tyres and think they can perform better than wide in a lot of ways. Shame there isnt much tall skinnys to choose from.
