I'm a big fan of informative videos like this. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I've run into a lot of bearing issues with my turbo 1uz-fe engines and this gives me a few things to consider on my oil system. I'm rooting for you this weekend. good luck.

Heat is a good trick also. I did not have a impact driver and I only had random philips and pozidriv bits that I was forced to use. Without heat torch those screw heads would have been completely stripped. I replaced them bolts with countersunk allen head bolts after porting the pump and shimming the pressure relief valve.

For us on a tight budget, would you please recommend a good but cost effective oil cooler and also a oil filter relocation kit for our Supra's? It's basically impossible to change the filter with an after market intake manifold. Without making a huge mess! Also where is a good place to mount it? I feel behind the inter cooler is not enough air flow. Should I get a unit with a fan and place it where there is space? THANKS SO MUCH, I love the channel, especially the how too videos. Keep doing what your doing!
@clutchkickpj693

Honestly mishimoto,setrab and koyo all make great oil coolers. Mishimoto makes a thermostatic sandwich plate for relocating your oil filter. Many ppl run oil/ ps coolers behind intercoolers with no issues due to its all made to be pass through parts for airflow. I haven't had any heat soak issues myself but ppl have thier own experiences.

If you can't fit pullers that big you'll either need to make a custom core support or try to fit the biggest pushers you can. Either way jz's and rbs like to run hot under continuous hot lap drifting so just have to let cool down if temps get too hot.

Hey Dan what type of oil lump do you recomend for a 2jz ge na-t build? I'll be at around the 600hp mark. I'm not sure of I should go with maybe a stock gte pump or modded. I've just come across this whole oil pressure being too high due to not having squirters.

Ok I got a question for a 2JZ-GE with VVT-i Carilo Pistons, Manley H-Beam Rods, King Race Bearing, still stock Stroke, Stock cams. Basically a mechanical belt driven oiling system with external reservoir that holds the engine oil rather than oil pan with the ability to adjust oil pressure. Eliminates all issues that crank driven oil pumps have and Pretty much the best oiling system there is arguably but it's very expensive but many high class race cars run them because you don't have to worry about oil starvation or cavitation with high rpms and g forces anymore pretty much.

It can help a few guys out there. On top of this I recommend buying a modded pump from Driftmotion instead of attempting it your self.
