I am also Chasidic Jew. They got this down perfect,not just the dialogue but the effects like them both walking around with their hat box and Talis and tefillin which are worn during prayer. There are some great gags in this. The woman who gave them instructions to the W Morris agency offers a handshake ,which of course as Orthos they can't take. (she gets bundled off with a flyer for the non existent film instead..). They are trying to point out how different Willamsburg and the swish part of LA are. .. seconds later Modi tries to interrupt an agent on the phone - she sees he's Orthodox and says "sorry, I don't have any change on me" - thinking he's after Tzaddakah. MACHANOVOVICH.. when you go out there , you need to change your name to get ahead (like Vevel Mosowitz ). Also it is quicker with the door girl at the Ivy too.

The movie story is all part of the Schtick!! It is one great Heist. Pinkys sausages does exist and it is true .. they are full of Treyf , as Modi says. Personally, I think one of the greatest gags is when the Blondie tries to shake hands with the Hassid and of course he can't do it so he hands her a film script instead. They are off to see Vevel Moscowitz and they have given away their copy of the Golden Script. Perfect. Most of Modi's stuff is much more ornery.

His accent says he was once a chasid, but I don't think he's chasid anymore. Here's the give away: 1. His hair. It's way longer than any chasid's hair (except maybe during Sefira). 2. The payos. Look closely. When chasidim curl their payos, they curl them inward. Apparently, the costume payos all curl in the same direction (to the left).
