There will never be another Kante. Just like there will never be another Pele, Diego,Messi,Cr7,Dinho,etc. Great players are never replicated..every great player comes into their own form to define their own mark. Many who are pushed to be likened like other greats, eventually have average careers.

I think the more I watch his compilations, the more I realise that all that "overrated" talk that be going around is actually cap. Because kid is actually good. Club owners have no choice but to pay these big amounts to get these players because that's where football is right now, it's become more of business & politics than just sports. I think I’m convinced enough. He’s a little like Kante, except he doesn’t progress with the ball enough ( something he can work on) but his range of passes are far better than kante’s. Also his tackles from behind is exceptionally good as well. So he’s a good fit for our team but we’ll need someone really creative to be next to him and I wonder, who might that be?

Yeah of course, like many of the comments have said there will be no Kante replacement. But this guy is too good to be let go by Chelsea. I feels that like he's a bit of a hybrid between Kante and Ramires. Solid both offensively and defensively, and his penetrating pass the defence in the attacking third is a lethal weapon for a midfielder. He always looks to progress the game and doesn't seek easy option that often. I really hope Chelsea secured this signing as I believe it'll be a huge improvement to them.

I think defensively he’s not same as kante in his prime but his work rate over all. Pressing, running, tracking is good. He got better control and flair, passing than kante. But there will never be another kante. He was monster his prime everywhere unfortunate that injuries ruin him.

no he isnt, Zakaria is though... I don't see this guy starting while Zakaria is fit. That being said though, he's very similar profile to Zakaria which means we'd be have really good depth in that position for the future
