I make a similar recipe minus the sugar and use heavy whipping cream instead of milk and top it with berries and honey. So yummy and simple.

なるほど！バターと砂糖で焦げ目がつくまで焼いたら、そこからミルクで蒸し焼きにしていけばいいのですね‼卵を使ったフレンチトーストとは違うのでアレルギー体質の人でも問題なく食べられていいですね！ So that's it! Bake with butter and sugar until browned, then steam with milk! It's different from French toast using eggs, so even people with allergies can eat it without any problems, so it's good!

哇哇！牛油會不會加太多了啊？60多年前還是小孩子的時候偶爾吃牛油抹饅頭就是好幸福又奢侈的享受了，現在坊間好像很難找到有在販賣純正的牛油了吧？

If I make this I will skip sugar and spreading butter on the bread. Just greasing the pan with butter will be enough (fat intake) for me.
