This cheesecake is the alter ego to the classic New York-style cheesecake with a press-in cookie crust. Have not found one bakery in my area (Upstate NY) that even knew what I was describing to them when I stared to try to find this cheesecake for many years. No kidding I am 73 yrs old and have been trying to find it since I was about 17. I fell in love with it...way better than NY style, and just could not even find the name of it for years. Try it, folks...it's amazing!

This is how Mexicans make cheesecake. My mom always made it like this. She combines all ingredients in the blender. The top always has the deep brown thick crust.

I have tried this cake for my new years party and everyone absolutely loved it! I forgot to set a timer, so it baked about 15min longer than it should have, but was still very much soft and silky in the middle, just slightly too dark outside. Because I had seen some comment about how the flavour in total was a bit bland, I added a table spoon cognac and two tea spoons orange peel in with the vanilla and it worked out perfectly! I have even been told that the cake was on a professional confectionery level. Definitely recommend it!

ive made this cake four times and it should NOT be eaten the same day as baking like all cheesecakes (and most cakes imo) the flavours develops much more over 12+ hours always makes me mad on british bake off when they critique the taste of cakes that were made 30 mins prior

I made this last night for Easter dessert, it turned out fantastic! It was lighter than a typical cheesecake but still delicious, just like they described. It was VERY easy, mine took much longer to burn, more like 85 minutes, and I ate mine with cut up strawberries, I recommend eating it with some sort of fruit to balance it. I’ll be making this every Easter from now on, thanks so much for showing us!

I was skeptical at the start of the video, but by the end I have to say that cheesecake has a dramatic look, lots of visual appeal, and I can imagine it tastes amazing. I'll have to put this recipe in the back of my brain to try at some future time.

This cheesecake is absolutely incredible and dare I say better than a New York style cheesecake. It’s light and custardy and so easy to make. Can’t wait to try this recipe!

Basco does not mean anything. Either Basque or Vasco, or Euskaldun if you prefer.

I was never a big fan of cheese cake but anyway I tried it out because it looked so easy. And man, this was a revelation! It was like I have never eaten cheese cake before! It is so fluffy, so tasty and absolutely fabulous! It was so hard to stop eating it. Thank you for this recipe!

I made this, did NOT disappoint!! One of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had and also extremely easy to make as I’m a baking challenged person and made it successfully!

Finally tried this cheesecake following Molly’s recipe. It was truly delicious, incredibly rich, cloud like in texture, and very filling. I used Swerve Confectioners Erythritol instead of sugar, to make the cake KETO friendly. Fooled everyone in the house that tried it 👍🏽 smash hit
