My uncle got 15 years for dealing drugs. It's crazy that someone can get such a light sentence for murder. Her hitting her head doesn't even match up with the evidence. I mean why was she bound if she hit her head and it killed her? Him talking in the car makes me believe that he attacked her in the bathroom, bound her and then killed her where he dumped her. Then he gets a slap on the wrist because after all the years the state's case was still so flimsy - despite it being obvious to everyone who did it - that they were willing to give him a bargain plea deal. Sometimes I watch these integration videos and think about how my husband reacted when, many years ago he thought he was the last person to speak to a man who was murdered. He kinda freaked out and thought for sure the police would think he was guilty and was already thinking of ways to get out of it. I could see an innocent person making up an false alibi and all that. It was less then an hour after the murder when we were called and we weren't given any information at first. As it turned out the guy managed to call 911 before he died. His ex mother in law walked in right after my husband left, probably watching until he was alone,and came in and shot him. If he hadn't survived long enough to call 911, I wonder if my husband would have gone through this. This is why evidence is so important and I'm glad they found enough to convict this guy.

The inmates statements aren’t enough as the inmates have an insensitive to say he did kill her, the dirt on the cat isn’t even a big deal…dirt is common on cars and they went able to say the dirt 100% belonged to the dirt road in question but said it’s dirt “like” on the road in question. A cluster of these behaviors may indicate a possibility that someone is being dishonest. It's more important to compare these behaviors to the person's normal behaviors, and many of these behaviors aren't necessarily "he's lying" but moreso "this indicates a lot of thinking is going on so it's a high possibility he's not telling the truth" Always lawyer up and know that you are telling your truth!

I don’t get it - he was clearly lying and failed the polygraph so why’d they let him walk for 2 1/2 years before bringing him back in? Makes 0 sense
@VioletEmerald4 ай бұрын
Because it's not really proof that he murdered her (or even that she was dead at all!! Given the lack of a body) even when the question is about if he murdered her. "Generally speaking, polygraph test results are inadmissible in court, as they are not scientifically reliable enough for use when the stakes are so high as in court. This is because it is well documented that certain people can pass the pass the test while lying and other who are telling the truth can fail the test." They basically cause the suspect to think they have more proof than they do for the sake of convincing them to confess. But most types of lies, like the alibi one, aren't enough to convict in court of what specifically did happen. A good lawyer could argue convincingly that he was afraid of getting in trouble for illegally purchasing pot which is why he lied, not murder, his own story he thought of on his own in this interrogation. For instance. There can be a lot of circumstantial evidence meaning it's likely he murdered her but we have high standards for conviction in criminal court for multiple reasons. It would be so awful for an innocent person to be sentenced, and if such a person were convicted the murderer would still be free anyway. So it's better a murderer go free until we're sure the person convicted is definitely beyond any reasonable doubt the murderer. But yes it's crazy that it seems so beyond a reasonable doubt already and they couldn't find a way to prove it for SO long. This case is surreal.
