Well I can honestly say with pride I haven't voted for any Democrat since President Obama, and believe me I didn't vote for him for a second term. This message is for Black Americans, please stop electing people/ politicians because of your like for them or because your friends suggest you do, or because the " Drivers" come out and tell you what you want to hear . The "Devil" is and can get busy, especially during election time, he always show up because he knows he can count on you. There aren't anymore Black American communities in this city, because every other group is here enriching themselves off of you, drug use and selling has tripled because of the same elected officials you voted for. How long will you keep voting for people young"like" instead of voting for people you think are best for this city. And what is worst, you keep sending them back for a second term. I don't know about you, but I am tired of looking at my neighbor's garbage and trash sitting out days before trash collection day, I am tired of parking blocks away because of the abandoned cars and or because they turned their single family home into apartments for many to live in, I'm tired of the loud music, Im tired of the "Poppy" stores on ever blk. I wasn't raised off of " Poppy" stores, and I'm sure most of you weren't, so why should your children?. For the sake of our children/ young men,/ Juveniles ,something has to change, and it starts with your vote.

Oh and in case you didn't, couldn't figure out, or just plain old don't care, I am a Black American female who's tired, and hate how Philly is deteriorating . It's obvious the people who are destroying the neighborhoods and city don't, care, don't know any better, or just don't see anything is wrong . Citizens of this city, your great grandmother , grandmother, mother gave up a lot for you. There was pride on their faces every time they went home, spoke to their neighbors, sat out front to enjoy the neighborhood they helped to build. Please stop letting out siders come in a destroy what the built. Take back your communities, where you can be proud again, because it's clear the people you are electing don't have your best interest in mind

My grandparents came to America in the early '20's, and they settled in Germantown PA, where other family members opened their homes to them. Assimilation happened through the community, you were taught English and you worked in whatever trade the rest of your family worked in..landscaping, electricity, plumbing, masonry, carpentry.,etc. You quarantined for several days and you were then released to your family and/or friends and they took care of you, not the govt. No housing, no welfare, or foodstamps..just learning, working and living with no help or need of the govt. As I write this reply to you, I'm crying tears of joy, knowing the hard work and the pursuit of happiness of every one my relatives leaving the world a little easier for the generations coming up behind and because of them. As much as I dislike Krasner and I do, it's not his policies. The law in this awful city is every crime committed here with the exception of murder is entitled to bail. In this case to ensure he ( the loser doesn't sneak out the city,) bail was set at a high number. If I'm not mistaken it's a cash bail and not a bond.

@@nickm2294 Yeah , that's just crazy. The park itself has been over run with drug dealers and other losers. Somebody thought it was a good ideal to grow vegetables in the middle of the park. Coming of the expressway and driving onto Roosevelt Blvd is a task, and do so at your own risk. I've even seen chickens and roosters walking around, some was walking around with a goat tied on a rope. Live stock and drugs is a big thing in that area.

My mother said that there was a guy, Mayor/ ex Police Officer who was also a Democrat. Now according to her and others he was really tough on crime and Black Americans. But she said the streets were no where near this bad. I say this because during his time as Mayor he put the fear of God in the criminals, I haven't heard one good thing about him, but I have heard time and time again, he nor his police officers were afraid or cared about "backlash" from anybody. His promise was he was going to back his streets. Maybe the solution is another Frank Rizzo need to run for office someone they fear enough but also know he will do what he/ she/ other say what they are going to do. But this was during a time when every group was in their own communities.

Philly need thank the Republicans and Governor Josh Shapiro, because they are definitely making sure he ( Krasner)do his job First the streets, then the schools then Septa and it's properties, and now the streets again. Between him and that last Mayor, believe it or not Philly was the worst city ever.

Nope Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro and the Republicans will never let that happen. Governor Shapiro has already taken Krasner and his side pieces off any cases regarding violence on Septa and it's property. So many people have moved out and or planning on moving out of this city, which is why more and more others are moving in .

No, his car was being towed under the Live Stop program for being an unlicensed driver. That’s the thing, guy could have walked away. If he got caught with gun, even after running, it’s a gun charge and none of this would have happened. And with the DA, gun charges aren’t all that serious. This could have ended so much differently.
