Mommy Dearest: The Horrifying Truth about Joan Crawford
Christina and Christopher Crawford were the oldest of Joan’s children. Cindy and Cathy were twins and the youngest of the bunch. There was about an 8-year age gap between the twins and Christina. Apparently, these 8 years was enough to cause them to have completely different childhoods. Sibling rivalry doesn’t even begin to explain the feud that the children currently have with each other. And what was the center of it? Their mother, Joan Crawford.
A year after her mother’s death, Christina published a book entitled Mother Dearest. In this book she alleges that living with her mother was hell, and that if she did anything like that today she would be locked up and the key would be thrown away. In this video I highlight of some of the accusations against Joan Crawford.

Narcissist parents usually choose one kid to be the black sheep. They use the kid as a projection board of their negative traits. They also make siblings fight for crumbs of love which creates intense competition and envy.

I believe Christina. I believe her because I had very sick parents who also had public ‘masks’, manipulated people into believing they were good parents, and who, behind closed doors, did things to their children that could have landed them in prison. But according to Christina Crawford herself she had to admit it didn't happen. She was under fire by family members when the movie came out Joan Crawford's grandson has come out on the internet saying thst wasn't true and that Joan Crawford was not what Christina wrote in her book. Christine Crawford traveled the talk shows in the 80s and.90s and her own family called her Out.on those accusations. She had to admit that some of the things she wrote including the wire hanger scene were not true.

@@catholicfaithofmine2664 The ones who weren't abused by Joan or shielded from said abuse of course would come out and say some bull crap like that. Even the film took the time to address this. Even then, Joan's grandson is just that, a grandson. He didn't grow up having Joan as a mother. Even if Christina lied, that would be enough to prove to people just how horrid Joan was towards Christina. Even other actresses and directors got into it with Joan, that's how unlikable she was.

I believe Christina 100%. It irks me when ppl try to say her childhood wasn't what she said it was... like everyone knew she was a vain, cruel b*tch. She adopted Christina from an agency that literally kidnapped babies from usually underage mothers. The mom would be told their baby died when in all actuality they were sold on the black market. Ppl try to say Joan didnt know but she definitely did, everyone in Hollywood did. The adoption agency was known as a Celebrity Kid Mill like a damn puppy mill... ugh... joan was just vile... can u imagine being abused your entire childhood and then having society mock you and say you're lying?!? Even tho there were witnesses everywhere?!? It just boggles the mind.

Idk. But I also don’t get why people call Christina a liar. I mean, why? Because they don’t want to believe Joan could’ve been a good actress but also an abusive mother? Being good at something, doesn’t mean automatically that you’re a good person.

One has to remember Christina wrote the book after her mother had passed away, so Joan was unable to comment. That says volumes on what a hateful person Christina is.

Wow! What a nightmare for poor Christina. It’s 100% true that an abusive parent is less likely to be hard on the children who are easier to control. It seems like Joan was very controlling. It makes sense why the twins defended their mom. Thank you for this interesting video. Great research. 😊🦋
