Judge Mathis

Жыл бұрын

The plaintiff says he moved in with the defendant, his mother, during the pandemic. But soon after they became roommates, the plaintiff says his mother admitted that she hated him and ended up assaulting him. Now he’s suing her for the assault and hotel bills. The defendant insists she doesn’t hate her son, but they do have issues she wants to resolve. She’s countersuing the defendant for emotional distress and damaged property.

I completely understand the Plaintiff's plight and difficulty when trying to explain his mother's dislike/hate for him. My entire life I've always felt like my mom didn't like me. However, I continued to be around her in hopes things would get better. Right before the pandemic I decided to get a place with her because I wanted to dispel my feelings. That was the worst decision of my life because it only confirmed that she hated me. Sir, do not allow anyone to make you feel bad for being unable to articulate how you feel regarding your mother. Your feelings are valid. The only person you owe ANYTHING to is yourself. ❤️

My mother has 7, I’m the second & I was the single out one. Never once disrespected her growing up, I only wanted to please her and make her happy, I was basically “living through her” in the image she set for me, trophy mom… but people won’t understand. I deserved NOTHING that I’ve gone through over the years…. I wish people would actually hear people out when it comes to cases like this.

She didn’t come off as one of those parents. Kids these days don’t know about tough love. I am a 90s kid raised by baby boomers and I am glad! I am not soft and I know what real love is. Parents who love you teach you, correct you, discipline you, as well as hug and love on you. Parents who don’t care let you do whatever and pay you no attention.

This case brought tears to my eyes. This young man is troubled, and the only thing Judge Mathis can do is ridicule, he can be so callous and rude sometimes. Obviously there is a problem, and it started when this young man was a little boy. He has a problem articulating, but is trying to explain that he never felt loved, appreciated, and cared for by his mother. Regardless, it appears that he still wants a loving mother/son relationship with his mother that he never had. I feel so bad for him, and yes I do believe she assaulted him when he attempted to retrieve his belongings. Children do not choose their parents because some of them would not be chosen. The only thing this mother can do is use him as her personal maid. Parents can ruin a childs self esteem and character. I believe this young man is still wanting his mother's love and care. Judge Mathis got this one dead wrong, and where is the counseling that was requested by the mother in her testimony? I guess the young man wasn't thug enough to receive it from the Judge. SMDH😑

The ending of this episode shows her true colors… “I love you I have something for you I need you back in my life.” She’s trying to make up for something she did wrong to him and she knows it. Judge Mathis gives terrible rulings/feedback more often than not. That kid looked defeated and outnumbered. He could barely get a word in with the judge yelling over him the entire time.

22:26 the death stare is scary. His affect is flat. She shouldn't have him come over to her house. Let him be. I would go as far as advising she get a protective order; until, he seeks counseling. Also, JM had a mother daughter case a while back and the daughter ended up killing her mother. Be safe.

Yeap, he had more than one case like that; it was a case about a male addicted to porn who lived in his mom basement that also killed his mother and she sued him on here for the porn subscription charges he got in her name and on her credit card, the entitlement is REAL and he looks like he wants to harm her 😳 she better be careful, evil don't care about relations or family.... and he got something simmering in him.

She laid it on thick and Judge Mathis bought it as he always does when it comes to mothers, crackheads, and domestic violence. He forms an opinion right away before even allowing a person the opportunity to explain themselves well. The only thing that young man did was communicate poorly. I believe every word that he said about her. She’s a great actress, I’ll give her that, but I don’t think a money judgment was needed in this case. Counseling is needed for sure.

I do genuinely believe she doesn’t like him. I really do believe him tbh . As the least favorite son I can tell you that you’ll do whatever it takes to make your parents like you . He visited once a week because he was looking to curry favor , he helped her out before because he’s looking to curry favor. Those a literally the things people do when they are made to feel like they are not liked or hated. I can vividly remember doing all the same things to try to get love from people who should love me anyway and until I stopped and distanced myself that’s when my mom started to listen to me and treat me as more than just a burden. Young man if nobody else believes you about your relationship I do . I don’t care what any of these old ladies who probably made one or more of their children feel that same way.

@@SISTAGURL my dad is a whole other can of worms to be honest . He was emotionally decent for me but my dad was always doing something shady . Without going into details he definitely lacked in a lot of fronts but I never relied on seeing him often because he had a fire responder job and I understand that saving lives is important too. Me and my mom are good now but I caught a lot of undeserved hate because my mom didn’t like my dad and I look the mirror image of him .

@@sereneamani1713 I have a loving wife and daughter and overall my view of women is about the same as my view of men . Both sexes have their issues especially when it comes to parenting . I’m not exclusively saying this issue is a mother son issue more so a child parent issue. It’s just women are the ones explicitly ignoring what he’s saying and dismissing his plight . I’m an excellent communicator, I’m very open with my emotions and my thoughts and I always have been and that’s partially why my mom didn’t like me because I wasn’t the type of person just to let you go about your day when you’ve seriously messed mine up.

Wrong call Mathis, he didn't run his mother down! She was the aggressor, apparently trying to get his items out of the same space which she knew he would take his things and leave. Mathis can't help this family because he's still broken by his painful experience his mother endure from him. This guy is a stand-up dude... And he's hurt by how she treated him as a child. Words matter, he keeps using nonchalant but doesn’t know what it means, his entire case rests on the claim that his mother hates him, but yet begs to move in with her. This is a man that thinks himself smarter than everyone else in the room, and fair enough, given the amount of sympathy he’s swindled out of some people commenting, he’s certainly smarter than his supporters, but not nearly as smart as he needs to be to have anywhere else to live other than his mothers house

Judge Mathis needs to stop comparing his story to others. Just because you have the strength to join school, become a judge, does not mean everyone has that strength. How someone feels re: a parent is how THEY feel. The son and mom needs counseling and communication classes, to help communicate better with each other.

Sometimes you just can’t explain why you feel a certain way about a person. It’s the energy they put out.
