Great video. I always appreciated having the "Money Talk" with you during our days working together. Really appreciated it as a new grad, and because of talking with you, and a few others, index funds have become my biggest investment. It's been great as a set and forget. The only thing I might add that might also make sense for new grads, or people with their first well paying job is to look at a Roth IRA. Currently, you're only allowed to contribute to it directly if you make under $129k, but it's definitely not rare for new grad engineers to make less than that. It allows for tax free growth on all your investments going forward, and you can usually invest in things like index funds like you mentioned in it and treat it as a set and forget investment vehicle that has massive tax incentives.

Thanks Brian, and thanks for the tip, it's a great idea! BTW you were definitely the most investment savvy recent grad I ever bumped into. I should have been asking you for advice :)

This was great! Could you please make a video on how to have successful 1-1s with managers? I'm at my first job and I've never met any of my coworkers in person and I get very awkward talking to my manager during our 1-1s!

Sorry I think the content itself is great, just feel uncomfortable to listen to this lazy and soft voice… makes me feel asleep…

You can always increase the Playback speed when watching videos with 'lazy & soft' voices. Hope that makes you feel comfortable...
