Ren's creativity and message is so profound, so off the charts, he is reaching in and touching our souls and waking us up. The human story (our story) is so broken, so sad, what are we doing to ourselves, we have so much beautiful potential, is utopia a dying dream, or can we still make it. Maybe perspective will save us, will change our reality as you like to say ... it's NEVER too late. Couple of things I picked out in this piece that I didn't see others already cover: 1. The haunting Arpeggios - on the piano at the start, classical and timeless, both beautiful and haunting, the rising and falling of the chords. Arpeggios are described as "broken chords", ascending and descending, and this is how Ren choses (deliberately of course) to introduce the human story and the money game. The human story (or condition) is a tragic requiem of broken chords, rising and then falling so tragically. 2. The wheelchair - the wheelchair = perspective. Ren and his struggles with illness gave him this, only through suffering do we finally get the perspective to see the authentic bare confronting truth of things. Similar themes as Hi Ren in that sense, the truth speaker is in the wheelchair, but you have to earn that perspective, and often it comes at great personal cost. The walls of programming we are raised with are very hard to smash down, we have to really suffer before we can see the truths for the first time, understand and accept them, and realise the depths of our mistakes. 3. Future is bleak, but there is always hope (however small) - again like Hi Ren, these human issues are ancient, the Human Condition, the Money Game, if we don't wake up it will continue until it finally reaches its inevitable terminal conclusion. But there is hope, through perspective and understanding, which is hard earnt by all of us, some more than others. But we have to DO something with this perspective, with our awakening, break and rebuild the systems which are working against us all. Hope 💗☀✨ Ren is a Maestro, a Truth-speaker, a Genuis. This is a MASTERPIECE on every level. I love him for gifting us with these stories about us.

Yes, that's Ren playing piano at the beginning! He also composed the music for piano and strings! He directed the video and produced the music/audio. It was recorded live but it's not quite 1 take. They had to make a single edit, before the water, for obvious reasons. Yet another incredible performance from Ren! Overall, an absolute masterpiece... again! :)

I agree with you V. That part where he is preaching to us... he literally ends a line with "tension", and then leaves the very next line lyrically and musically unresolved. And then builds more suspense by calmly and meticulously removing and folding his jacket with a gun in plain view. Then he loads the magazine slowly as he continues ro preach, extending the tension. And then the blatant disregard for trigger discipline just ramps the tension up even more. By the time he sits down back into character we already know where it's going but he pushed the tension so well and he holds it unresolved until the end.

The trick is understanding how to do things and what's enough. To quote the band silverchair, "You say money isn't everything, well I'd like to see you live without it". There is a big difference between using money as a means or allowing it to consume you. Seems a slippery slope but it's actually quite simple. You want to have everything you want? Then want less and you can.
