It’s a money bag, they’re all wearing money bags, it’s a mic pinned to his lapel (you’d know if you’d watched MG1 & 2) and yes it’s REN playing the piano in the opening scene, piano then taken over by Charlie, to play the really, REALLY difficult 2nd movement. REN composed, wrote, directed & produced the whole piece! Love from Annie, in Cornwall, UK.

Ren is wearing the lapel mic to begin with. There is a cut in the video when the camera pans behind his wheelchair. They moved the lapel mic to his tie in the middle and tried to waterproof it a bit for the rain scene. They could only do the rain scene once to they all crossed fingers and it was perfection. Also, you need to react to Ren 'Sevin Sins' and 'Loco' from the same album, they are both masterpieces of rap.

Yes Ren is the one playing the piano first. The person who takes his place on the piano is Charlie Woof-Bryne. There is a short video of the behind the scenes it shows Ren sitting at the piano playing this song. Yes he is that talented. It’s no wonder why he took the #1 spot on the top 40 charts just baisically a day and a half after Sick Boi released. Beating out Rick Astley 🎉🎉

If you had watched 1 and 2 yoy would have caught the references with the sack and the rain, but you did well with the song. At the end, the gun missfired, OR they didn't show the gun going off. Another layer possible. What a hit!

Ren can say more with silence than most of the great speakers of our times. Also, at the end.. the gun didn't fire. It's the ultimate symbol of a money game and it failed. (my interpretation). Ren includes himself in the game... he includes us all. It stops it from being preachy and makes it a commentary, which stops people from feeling defensive and makes them think, and then talk. I think that's his greatest gift. Ren makes you think.

…almost all one shot. Don’t forget the single cut when the camera goes behind the wheel chair (they had to switch his mic from being on the jacket to being in the tie and they couldn’t re-do the rain part, so rather than retake the entire thing from the start, that let them reset to being in the chair to do another take until Ren and Samuel felt it was the one take and they did the rain part). That’s not taking anything away, it is still incredible work.

The RENegades will definitely show up for this...REVERSE trilogy. 1 and 2 need to be done in chronological order. It helps with the visuals in number 2. The RENaissance goes deep! I'll sub and watch you think and ponder. He's got a thought-provoking bag of tricks. Endless tricks. Bardcore is real! The bag and rope around the neck is a money bag. Like an emoji. We all have one on our heads. A lot of us are starting to take it off. Making more conscious decisions of who we buy from and what we buy. Every human being on this planet is part of the money game. Great reaction guys there was one cut in this video, when he was turned in the wheelchair they had to put a mic in his tie for when he took his jacket off and they didn’t want to rerun the whole thing if the water part didn’t work as it would have taken ages for it to dry each time.

All of Ren's videos require several watches to catch the nuances and meanings in the lyrics. The RENegades were able to push his new album, Sick Boi, to #1 in the UK! I don't know Ren personally, but I'm proud of him for continuing to fight through his illness and share his beautiful gift with me. He is a rare human specimen with a huge heart and amazing brain.

This video is insanely "next level" for Ren & Sam; who had already demonstrated their ability to create genius one-take musical performance art. It was a wild ride having this arrive after over two weeks playing The Money Game ARG competition with Renegades across the world - collectively collaborating to solve complex puzzles each day, with Ren and friends jumping into with clues hints, distractions and outright misdirection. Not to mention Pigbae media. And red herrings, and Medieval slipper torture. And Ren actively attempting getting cancelled/ banned for hours on end in with the most hilarious mischief, alongside deep insight, honesty and empathy regarding mental and physical health struggles for himself and Renegades. Then watching the live stream of the final day's prize winners going to dig up their prize, ultimately cut with Ren's video essay/poetry breakdown of the meaning of The Game and the Seven Deadly Sins from his perspective, then this Masterpiece video dropping..... such a wave of emotions after such a wild journey, only to be followed by the album secretly dropping and getting the digital download a day earlier than expected. I'm glad others seem to enjoy just as much as those not involved so heavily in the lead up to this release. For some it's their first introduction to Ren, even for a couple of my extended family members. And everyone seems to love it as a piece of art.

My biggest takeaway from this is that we ALL have some level of this in ourselves! Maybe not to the extent of this darkness and uber richness but it's part of the "American Dream", and very similar dreams all over the world. We need to bring up our kids to not trust only money, but humanity, nature, our inner lives and truth. Ren is an old soul, with the genius ability to speak his truths and beliefs to us all. What I really love about Ren’s talent is his ability to start conversations. Real meaningful conversations. I honestly believe that we are witnessing the emergence of an artist of incredible importance in real time. The last people to see that were probably fans of John Lennon, Janis Joplin or Jim Morrison! He is uniting people all over the world. It’s no exaggeration to say that Hi Ren has saved lives. The last time I was this excited about anyone in the music industry was when I went to see a gig in Edinburgh by a, then little known band by the name of AC⚡️DC. ✊🏼🐷 Edit - Remember. His dad was there at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30... and he got the call at the instant his world stopped.... at 35. He miscalculated against the cartel at 39, then cursed his first words "mine, mine, gimme" at 40. He then had the echo of his dad's influence as he realised his failure at 45.

I'm thinking that once his father died he knew he'd never have any more chances of proving himself "good enough" to his dad. So he spiraled outta control,then lost his ability to walk,then came to the realization that it was all for nothing,causing nothing but damage.....hence,he hit the delete button

FYI, Ren plays guitar (bass, rhythm and lead), piano and some drums too. He wrote al the music for piano and strings in this piece. Just when you think you have seen all that Ren can do, he will amaze you with something else you haven't seen. There is no one like him.

Some of this would be more familiar if you had seen 1and 2 , it is a stand alone piece but the same message echoes through all 3 songs . Ren asks us to examine how we contribute to the money game and to own our part in the destructive outcomes of the money game . The theme rain ,rain, rain , were all part of this old money game the first song seems very personal to Ren . The second song has a more historic take and the 3rd is played out in the life of Jimmy. I dont think Rens point is anti money as such but he asks us to examine what it is we exchange for money, scruples, peace of mind , relationships, family , humanity , the care of the earth. It is a money bag, but more importantly Ren has referred to them as “Hostage bags”, each hostage to the game. We are told that Jimmy is just an extreme example, of all of us - But so is his dad who is representative of a society that in general places too much importance on money, judging people based on their ability to accumulate it. The entire thing is a metaphor imo.

Yes, More. Continue down the Ren Journey. Quite amazingly It will never disappoint. PLEASE don't miss out on "Diazepam" the 🎸riff is soo nice. Everything about it works. As does all his artistry. One of my top Ren. (even tho say that a lot of his songs) It is an older piece of his so more than likely will not pop up as easily with all his new brilliant work

Yes, you need to see Part 1 and Part 2 - musical, lyrical references repeating through them all. String quartet is playing MG refrain, Ren hums the same refrain when looking in the mirror at the beginning, etc etc -- and please don't miss the "Rain, rain rain" words in Parts 1 & 2 becoming a physical part of the conclusion of Part 3. Other nuances repeating through them all. The cut was necessary to transfer the brooch with the mike from the jacket lapel into a waterproof container in his tie knot. You can spot it there, when you look at it closely.

The voice of his father remained as his driving force even after his father died but he was robbed of the chance of ever earning his dad's approval. He lost the reason for his drive but not the programming that forced him to be that way.

As far as I understand this, the bags on people's heads represent that they are participants/players in the money game (so, basically all of us). We are held hostage by the economy (usually capitalism). Anonymous and replaceable. The videos of Money Game Part 1 & 2 help coming to similar conclusions. I am absolutely astounded by Ren's incredible insight, creativity and all-rounder abilities. And at such a young age. Let's hope his life finds much more fulfillment than Jimmy's.

I think the bags over their heads are because they are all hostages to the money game. Hoods on hostages is a common theme in movies. Back in the day during the Iranian Revolution when hostages were taken from the US Embassy they were paraded with bandages/hoods of some kind covering their faces and subjected to mock executions. Iconic images recalled by the hoods in the Money Game videos and maybe that’s why the 45 doesn’t fire at the end. Perhaps it’s a mock execution?

The reaction to Ren handling the gun tends to be quite different between Americans and others. I think many Americans grow up with guns, they learn the dangers and seeing someone waving around what they think of as a loaded gun, makes them visibly tense. It’s not just Americans and it’s not all Americas but the strongest reactions I’ve seen to how he handles the gun has been from Americans… If it made you uneasy, rest assured, it wasn’t a real gun, it was a none functioning replica. The magazine wasn’t real, and he had to do a switch below the camera to hand off the fake magazine to an assistant, while he loads the bullets so it looks cored t for the gun, then he switches back to the fake, empty magazine as the camera zooms in on the gun on the table - so, it’s not a real gun, it isn’t capable of actually firing, and the magazine was empty. Now - in the behind the scenes, the prop gun was malfunctioning when it was cocked initially, sending a spring loaded part across the room - so there would be a danger that the fix that was done for that, might have failed and the spring could have forced that part at his head, which could have been nasty, but they tested the fix and must have been confident in it - so, no real danger, just a performance deliberately acted to create tension and unease - and his acting is brilliant - right down to how he holds and waves the gun loosely deliberately to convey that feeling of someone who is beyond caring. I’m glad you mentioned the unsettling feeling of the camera revealing the second person in the good and how it seemed they were lying down then they just walk up/away and you realise your perspective is twisted…which is kinda the message of the song. If you’d heard part 1 and 2 - the stings part at the end is a recurring theme from the earlier songs - as is the rain, and “finger on the trigger of a money game”. Also the “such a damn shame” is a reference to the tales of Jenny and Screech. So far, no one I’ve seen react has spotted that the guy who pushes the wheelchair is wearing a nurse dress - I thought AJ with his ADHD picking up little details might have been the first to spot that. I’ve no idea if there’s a meaning - it might have just been they had planed for a woman to do that part and then switched but decided to keep the outfit as it’s not obvious…or it’s part of a message, I don’t know.

The father figure here is a representative of all society in general. It's not a story about a specific person or someones father. You have to have a very open mind when watching his video's and his messages. According to his official credits on his website for this video the piano player was Charlie Woof-Bryne. Was Ren playing at the beginning and he didn't include his own name in the credits? I don't know?

Once you watch the other two you have experienced the whole Ted Talk and the messages for each section come together. The lyric video works better than the live for Money Game 2.
