I buy my glue sticks from Poundland! 5 in a box, for £1! Bloody brilliant stickability and no smell! If I slick it back and forth over every area of the paper, keeping it in contact with the page as I go (not like you did with multiple little separate dabs) then I can glue two pieces of thin paper together, run the bone folder over firmly to bond them, then it makes a piece of double sided cardstock. By that I mean, it literally fuses into one layer, there are no longer two visible sheets of paper! But the glue must be slicked on the entire surface, no hit and miss to achieve that result. I love it! Admittedly I use more glue than you do, but at five for a pound, who cares? 😁 The reason I love doing this, is because I very rarely buy scrapbook paper at all now....like rarely! I have no need to. Whenever you buy scrapbook paper, inevitably there are maybe half the pages (at best!) that drew you to it. The rest are either alright, or let's be honest, downright hideous! The types of patterns we'd use in place of plain cardstock ....end up covering anyway! So I have more choice with printing papers I actually like, and can mix and match which designs I use back and front, and by sticking two thin papers make my own patterned cardstock! And the even better plus to doing that...? I can glue one upside down, so that if I need to fold a project in half, like an envelope, the reverse pattern is the right way up! Because it sticks so seamlessly, I can even cut one sheet in half, flip one half, then reglue them to a backing paper, fold on the (now invisible) join line, so the flap pattern is the right way up, as is the back! It's great for things such as thin journal covers, because normally, two pages stuck together, when folded in the middle, produces those bubbles and buckles where the two layers are fighting with each other, you know? As long as I slick the glue completely over the entire surface, and burnish together well, they fold as if one sheet of cardstock. Yes it uses more glue, but still works out far cheaper than one branded glue stick and sticks far better for it! 😁 Very pretty pouches, they look more professional being more of a purse shape I think, and also because you like to make sure you crease such neat crisp edges! Which is why I KNOW you'll LOVE my glue stick trick! We can all stick two papers together, but making them appear to be one single layer....? Game changer! Just let them dry well before folding or cutting. 😘

Finally a precise project that I understand! As soon as I have to measure something, it becomes complicated for me, but here, it seems quite simple. When I think that as a child, I wanted to be an architect! Fortunately, I never became one 😂 Here, it’s almost like some origami. I would use the Uhu stick as you do, it’s the best glue stick, I think.

Love these! I use Scotch Create permanent glue stick. It is a little stickier to use than UHU but I like it and it will even stick thin lace to paper. Have a great day.

sometimes i use a glue stick other times I use nuvo deluxe adhesive and also white glue from the dollar tree and finally 3n1 glue for a really strong hold.

Oh cute! And they could be used for all sorts of things. Lol better than my ironing pile 🙈. I usually use any old glue stick but also collal, 3 in 1, cosmic shimmer acrylic (Quick grab) and lately got a better glue gun that makes life much easier. Oh also gloss and matt mediums and no no nails for heavy stuff. I have a problem don't I? 🙈🙊🙈. I didn't notice you hadn't trimmed it either🙊. Very charming piece😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I use *Fabri-Tac* for most of my gluing. It's strong, clear, neat, and doesn't make paper warp, which is why I never use "wet" glue. I use some textured paper and fabric in my journals so it's perfect for that. Occasionally I might use an *Elmers extra-strength, permanent glue stick* for small bits of collage. I can use one 8-oz (large) bottle of Fabri-Tac for each multi-signature journal, and I like it so much that I buy it in bulk. I ran out of it once and never want that to happen again. If I'm doing any decoupage, I use artist quality (no fillers) acrylic medium - never Mod Podge as it yellows, cracks, and isn't permanent nor archival. (I've participated in lab testing so that's not my opinion.) I'm curious, why did you choose US dollar dimensions instead of UK currency?
