MONEY SAVING TIPS : How I Saved $10,000 in 10 Months on a $30,000 Salary
There really is no secret to saving large amounts of money in a relatively short period of time. Well, the only real secret is discipline. I think people expect for some magic app to be invented that allows you to keep living your best life while simultaneously storing away large lumps of money. Really, saving starts with a mindset shift, the action (and money) will follow.
I took the lowest salaried job offer, but was able saved a large amount of money because of one simple rule of saving: increase your income, or decrease your expenses. It’s not about HOW much money you make, as much as how much money you’re able to pay yourself FROM that money.
Here are some mental shifts, and practical tips I used to stack my coins!
// IN THIS VIDEO I SHARE:
1. How to : Increase Income, Decrease expenses
2. Assessing where your money is going
3. What to do with your bank statement every month
4. How to stop trying to “keep up”
5. How to think of money in terms of time
6. Useful money saving apps

Dont feel bad also why are you even worried about how other people see you? I'm in your same situation! I actually left my 6 year relationship because my partner wanted me to spend the money I made accomplishing my goals for a home and wedding! FUCK THAT! I left her moved back with my parents paid off my student debt and the remainder I thought myself how to trade stocks. My job pays 30k after taxes but what propelled me was the fact I also learn how to wholesale real estate since I have experience in sales did 4 deals to pay for my worthless school. What's impossible to find is women who actually care about financial freedom all the females I encounter in new Jersey and NYC are straight consumers and just a bill so this is definitely good to find this. Cant wait by July I'll have about 20k saved for a downpayment for my investment property hopefully I find something since everything is so expensive around NYC and jersey

There are sooooooo many people on youtube talking about paying off debt while living away from home. Please find those channels, I think they could inspire you!!! I see where you are coming from 100% but this comment does strike me as unnecessarily resentful. Like OF COURSE everyone's circumstances are going to be different. It could just as easily be the case that you are living away from home but make 2x as much as someone that still lives at home. You can't compare like that and stay healthy/sane.

A couple of things I do regarding grocery shopping is 1. I primarily shop at Aldi lol and 2. I plan what I’m going to cook for the week prior to going to the grocery store. Then I know exactly what I’m going to purchase while I’m there and not buy a bunch of unnecessary food that will either go bad or I not end up not even wanting. Now I’m about to move home with my parents to start all over again. So far I’ve decreased my expenses significantly so now it’s all about rebuilding the smart way! Thank you for talking about this!

there are food shelters and goodwill/salvation army/thrift shops for gently worn clothing. You need to help yourself before you help others. There are resources out there and also a lot of people get comfortable when they see others giving them hand outs. Don't be an enabler. I prefer giving monthly out of my budget (based on my income not what others need)to charities that fund the resources I mentioned.

Hey Erin, this is my first video that I've watched. I totally resonate with you girl! Discipline is everything, it applies to every aspect of our lives and everyone can do so much more if they grind through. I'm applying that not only in my savings but in my health as well. I got to do my exercise everyday, not a big fan of the sweat and muscle aches but its short term pain for long term gain. I'm also living with my parents at the moment and I don't give a crap about what people think; I'm not spending $1000 a month for rent to look independent in front of my friends, I am not freeloading in my parents' house either. I gave them rent money (better giving to family than strangers), cook dinner, clean the house and basically training myself to be a responsible and productive adult in society. Don't live for others, live for yourself.

We all do what we have to do; and in these times that means having multiple side hustles or moving back home - which I did a few years ago after getting laid off from my last corporate job. My weakness is shopping and when the clothing stores have sales. Gap, old navy, amazon, children’s place, Carter’s, Oshkosh, Nike outlet😩😩😩 I just recently had to remove myself from a lot of those emails because seeing them made me weak and wanting to buy stuff knowing I don’t need it. Thanks for sharing those tips. I’m also doing a no spend for at least 15 days out of the month and see what I save. I been meal prepping my food for lunch and dinner and it makes it a lot easier to keep from buying lunch while at work. I’ve also been budgeting and giving every dollar a job to work on my debt, raising my credit score and manifesting in my dream car and home.
