@@MONQTV ▶▶▶The thing is, there are toxic fans everywhere..Many toxic fans of EXO ( *NOT* the group, BTS & EXO are friends, but toxic anti-fans) CYBER-BULLIED BTS badly, from their name, looks ("JHope's ugly-kick him out"), music (too hip-hop, you can't write, people do it for you, you copy lyrics"), , fashion (too goth, too much make-up), voices (we know you can't sing), copying vid ideas (when ALL groups did "Schoolboys", "First Crush", etc vids), hairdos/haircolors?!?! & made sure to trend tweeted lies/slander/DEATH THREATS b4 concerts, some cancld (so netizens were confused-who are these bad boiiiz??), ALL, cuz they saw BTS rising)!?!?.. John Lennon/Beatles recv'd death threats, worst ones- then next day shot/killed on the streets, in front of his wife..Serious stuff!! Many of the groups themselves are close friends, like V is friends w/many, incl. actors/Idols he worked with in TV historical KDrama "Hwarangs", Jimin's part of a group of Idol friends like Taemin/Shinee, Kai/EXO, Ha Woon/Wanna One, etc, called "Padding Squad" w/matching jackets, Jungkook with '97 liners, RM's friends w/lots of Korean & Amer. top rappers, did duets w/Wal E, Kris Kaliko, Juice World, Lil Nas, Warren G, etc w/Zico & many more (Jackson/Got7 is one of his bffs> Jackson fawns over RM, so cute), etc, etc..The haters still often jump on any news: Jungkook had a small fender-bender, said straight away he was at fault, made pokice/insurance reoirts, apologized to the other driver & settled insurance claim, apologized to fans that he was tired, would be more alert from now on, but haters next day: "Would you let your child on the roads w/this (probably drunk) maniac so called "perfect" Idol smashing cars left & right"??.😨😨😨

Just be careful to those who decide to attack you..some people pretend to be ARMY and would harass you like there's no tomorrow..ARMY been experiencing because not only BTS have haters..even BTSARMY do have haters..It's what their only goal is..to bring bad names to both us and BTS to the public so that they could gain the satisfaction. Intellectual army knows and accept opinions. We agreed some don't like some of bts song..when they have a good reason. The only thing that would trigger BTSARYMY is those who disrespect BTS ONLY for their appearance and did not even care to try and listen to BTS arts..

I think that has happened here, on the very first BTS review I posted and I thought it to be odd that out of the way video where I had nothing but positive things to say they picked a part where I was laughing because I couldn't believe that the largest percentage of ARMY were people closer to my age than the younger generation and if anybody watched they could see it wasn't too make fun but out of disbelief because being 53, I didn't think there would be THAT many of us in that large of a percentage. Sajaegei means buying mass quantities of their own albums to inflate sales. As Big Hit explained they did not have the financial resources at the time to be doing this. They were a small company with minimum funds. Other fan groups couldn't understand why Bts was outselling their groups. It was simple. They have good music and loyal fans.

BTS are more than music. They are a movement. I'm a 52 yr. Young proud ARMY and have been since 2016. It's hard to explain the relationship. It's what it is. It's how BTS makes you feel about their music, yourself, them...just all of it. And this incredible love is generated out of authenticity. They are gentle men. They are strong, smart and dedicated to their craft, each other and their fans. When they say they love their ARMY, you know they do. I am so proud and someday I will get to look back on this and know I was part of this. Peace.

I requested the BTS Vs kpop in the previous video and both of these videos are necessary to understand idol industry better and how it works. You will realise even more why what BTS did is miraculous and why in idol industry it is expected for idols from small companies to be buried. Oh and don't expect from most K-pop fans to be logical. Most have lunatic behaviour they have tried to destroy BTS's career and still do. They cannot accept reality and the fact that BTS surpassed their privileged groups. Also I don't remember if I asked it in my previous comment but you should also watch the On commentary film dialogue video from Bangtantv because the musicians in it said the same thing about what you said that BTS are bringing people together. For exemple, I have three biases but I'm OT7 and love all of them.

The 'cheating in outselling albums' thing is actually still being said. I saw people saying Armys are cheating because they're buying lots of albums...I'll admit I'm a bit confused by that cause what's wrong with buying albums? And if people buy more than one so what? They still spent their own money. What's wrong in buying to collect? I know people who do that as a hobby with their favourite artists. Starwar fans buy Do Not Remove From Box items all the time?...there are people who collect old records of famous singers...just what's wrong in being a super fan? Also u were talking about the billboard awards showing everyone who spoke about Bts up but that win was sneered at by the kpop community in unity and it started huge fanwars which were used to show how 'toxic' Army was. Then they wanted Armys to stop promoting Bts and instead promote their 2663478544443324 different groups. There was a movement to shame people for only being Bts fans and voting for them to win stuff. The phrase 'give other groups a chance it's not fair' was thrown about a lot. It was an annoying time where we were heavily criticized for daring to be Army and not supporting 'the better groups'. People constantly said that BTS should step out of the way and they would attack Armys for even speaking to each other about BTS on anu unrelated BTS post. Now whilst I agree that there were always people who took excitement of being BTS fans a bit too far, there were times that fans simply greeted each other because they recognized the person posting had a pic of a BTS member or the members names in their title and would greet with : 'Army!🤗💜'. That alone would be enough to justify getting intensive amounts of hate. Armys aren't lily white in all this by any stretch of the imagination but a lot of the hate was completely unjustified. Some even called Bts racist names as if their own favs weren't Asian! I remember when they mocked Taehyung's grandmother's death saying she deserved it for being his grandmother, posted disgusting photos mocking her death, planned in secret forums to frame jungkook for rape by saying he met one of them when the group was on tour (that one I think was reported to Bighit by one of the people in the forum who was a Bts fan)...just...U have no idea. I never knew people could hate people they don't even know so much.

Just to let you know they were cut from shows or their performances shortend due to the power of the Big 3 agencies in Korea who made sure their artists got full performances. Needless to say this doesn't happen anymore as BigHit is now the biggest company now.
@czenniesomnionce2119
@czenniesomnionce2119 4 жыл бұрын
Excuse me, but where is your evidence of the Big 3 companies having anything to do with BTS's performances/screen time at award shows and music shows being cut? Because, as far as I know from doing my own research, a group's performance is typically only cut if the company they are under doesn't have enough money to pay to the people that are over those award shows/music shows or for other reasons.
@czenniesomnionce2119
@czenniesomnionce2119 4 жыл бұрын
Also, if what you're saying is true, I highly doubt that JYP Ent. had anything to do with BTS's performances getting cut because, if you didn't know, Bang Hyun-sik, the CEO of BigHit, used to work as a producer at JYP before he went on to start his own entertainment company, with the help of JYP himself, who he was and still is friends with, to this day. And, as for SM and YG, not that they don't have a history of trying to ruin other artist's careers, especially YG, how could they have had something to do with BTS's performances when I'm pretty sure they didn't know anything BTS when they first debuted or cared about them, let alone knew they even existed until they blew up? I'd still appreciate it if you would give me the receipts to these claims of yours just in case my claims are wrong but regardless of who's right or who's wrong about this, I think it's safe to say that we shouldn't go around blaming the Big 3 companies for everything.

There's a touching memory, I think a year ago BTS moved to a new apartment (they have chosen to continue living together) there was a video of Jin making breakfast for V as a penalty for losing a game. Fans recognized cups, dishes, bowls they had given BTS back then when they were still not known. Although BTS have moved many times and can now aford more fancy stuff, they still carry those gifts. In a recent live video on YT Jin was playing the piano, and ARMY spotted teddy bears and other toy figures they sent for his birthday about 4 years ago. Okay so let me add a few details. First off. The hatred bts receives is in my opinion quite different to what alot of other artists receive. In the sense that it's organised hatred. The 3 big company's don't only own the music industry but also the media. They organise hate trains, rile fans up, and try to destroy bts numerous times. Its a miracle they survived. Really. Even recently a media outlet in Korea reported on jungkook, took a photo of him out of context, and said he was making fun a girls node ring. Some reporter even broke into bighit and took photos. The big companies control media so much, that no one in Korea in 2015 even knew that bts was already outselling the big 3. They only found out, after the made it big overseas. Isn't that insane!? They had to get crazy big overseas, before the media or anyone in Korea could even notice them.( Ofc I'm generalizing, there are karmys. ) The hatred still hasn't ended till this day. Just check out karma is an Army, like all the parts. Also in case you didn't know, the reason why army's and exo-Ls don't get along, is cause they were the fandom that got angry when we won. Anyways things have calmed down now, but I remember a time when we all used to be friends. So it's kinda sad. But I also remember what they said, and ofc army's aren't innocent either, but ya know.

Most money, cloths, even things for the house came from donations (nom requested if I may add) from fans. Their families did as much as they could but then again jin's and Yoongi's parents did not support them at the beginning. They were on their own and had nobody but the other memebers' support.

Bts were literally supposed to disbanded after their debute because they didn't do well on the charts and bighit were going to close but someone I'm not sure I think it's the ceo cousin or freind I can't remember invested on them and believed that bts will grow and they didn't disappoint and made it I'm still can't believe that bts were supposed to disbanded 2 times on their career I was on a lot of fandoms in the past but most of my favs has disbanded that I couldn't stan groups after I only stan bts and mamamoo because they really helped me a lot

Thank you for this reaction, this was a pleasure to watch as always! (I guess you should prepare a cup of tea to read this I wasn't planning on writing this much but, oh well!) To answer your question, 'Sajaegi' means chart manipulation! So basically the company bulk-buy the albums of their own group to illegally boost a chart ranking! Which, to be honest, Big Hit couldn't have done at the time because they simply did not have the money (not that they ever did it anyway). Unfortunately, chart manipulation does happen in the kpop industry, in my opinion as a kpop fan of 12 years, it is either rare or it's being swept under the rug since I really can't remember any cases being proven true and neither could I find anything while doing my research. However, there are a lot of accusation from fans who dislike groups, who like BTS, comes from a small company or are just rookies and win in music shows against other idols (who have either more fans, more money or have been there for longer like veterans of the industry in a way), so lawsuits are always a bit commons for this particular issue! I think haters (and Knetz) were simply "triggered" by the fact that a group from a small company won at a music show (which is ridiculous) opposed to "their" idols, and so they accused them of 'Sajaegi'. It was honestly a blood bath at the time on twitter, us armys were getting cursed at by the group's fan (which I will not name, it is easily found on the internet anyway) just for breathing and we had to fight tooth and nail to protect them (from the media, and the haters) which is why a lot of armys can come off as aggressive. There were a lot of incidents like this one as well, like the whole "plagiarism" thing when BTS was accused of plagiarising a concept (in an award show) which wasn't even under their control but the show's editor, and still, the other group's fan came for BTS and us as well. In any way, we fought a lot with a lot of people (mostly fandoms) who were being real jerks by spitting on everything they did only because it was BTS from a small company, and because people have nothing better to do with their lives than ruin other's... I remember sometimes I had to keep off my phone or my laptop to cool off because fanwars got real bloody, not that I was personally fueling it, I admit I tended to just watch because I didn't want people coming at me just for breathing or telling my opinion, I always have been a firm believer that If your opinion is hurtful you should keep it to yourself as to not spread the hate, but just seeing all the hurtful things happening to them and our fandom was often quite upsetting especially the injustice, them being from a small company. Anyway! Thank you if you read it until the end and I hope this helped a bit about the whole "sajaegi" thing, I sincerely thank you for taking your time to learn more about them! Sorry for the big message aha! I hope where you are the situation is not as bad as where I am, greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪! Stay safe! 💜

As you can imagine there are many reasons as to why ARMY is so protective over the boys, it can be really frustrating because they never did anything to deserve half of the bullshit they have to put up with (the latest one that was pulled was associating them with the coronavirus - the following channel has video on the situation as well). I think it would be interesting if you watch BTS vs KPOP: a video essay kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qKijjct5taebpGw.html But more importantly I would love for you to listen to their most recent album, each song is very special so maybe watch explained videos by Bookish Theories afterwards (xCeleste has these too but I don't think they're as good)

Thank you Alexis, it's definitely allot more in depth than I anticipated it to be, but that's probably do far the most interesting thing about this journey. The perception I had of BTS in the beginning was wow a really good boy band group from Korea that has impressed me more than our own American brands, but now it's s whole different experience and mindset. The backstory gives me an attachment to the group from more than just a musical standpoint. 😁😁😁🕉️☮️🕍🏯⛩️💙🙏🏾

MONQ thanks so much for this reaction video on BTS & the other ones you’ve posted. I’m such a fan of these guys though I’m not your typical fan, I’m 68 years old. I came across BTS on KZfaq during a very difficult time in my life (2016) after being diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease and out of work on disability for a few months. I was scared, depressed, physically weak but watching BTS perform & listening to their music with such a positive message helped me so much! These guys gave me joy during such a difficult time in my life. My health problems continued until I was forced to retire from work in November 2017. Every day I would check out KZfaq for a new BTS video which helped me to put a smile on my face. My disease is under control now with medication and getting infusions every other month, thank GOD. I was so excited when my son & his best friend got tickets to BTS concert for us to travel to Dallas in May of this year, but due to the virus effecting the world had to be cancelled. I’m hoping that things will improve globally & there will be a vaccine for the virus so that life can get back to normal & BTS will be ale to tour again & that I’ll be able to see one of their concerts. In the meantime, I listen to their albums (I have all of them), continue to watch them on videos like yours & many others. I’m so grateful for your BTS videos - thank you so much!

Love that BTS (& Big Hit) can flex as the number One company n the ‘Big 3’ are no longer dominating/abusing their position... (actually, they let us ARMY know and We flex... heheh!) April 2021 ~ 1. One major shift in the Western front/ market is Hybe’s 100% stake acquisition of Ithaca Holdings which includes SB Projects (Bieber, Grande, etc) and properties (Big Machine Label Group)... “...step by step...” Kim Namjoon💖💜💝

You should react to BTS Cypher series (there are 4 of them) for your Behind the Bars series. In particular, cypher 2- this is the track they respond specifically to B Free (the guy who was talking smack to RM and Suga about wearing makeup). They are so genuine with their fans - the fact that they still find time to connect with fans on their live streams and their Weverse accounts, despite how big they are is amazing! That award speech had genuine emotion, tears and love (I think someone must have been cutting onions near me because my eyes were streaming :-D). I imagine it being so easy to lose yourself, and forget where you came from once you make it, but from what I see they have always remained true to themselves and to ARMY. I don't understand how anyone can hate on that (regardless of whether they hate their music), and you pretty much summed that up at the end of your video anyway (great minds). I love how much you appreciate them and what they're about. Also, to add to the comment below - true ARMY will always welcome new family members. I'm so happy they have signed a new contract too, the rabbit hole will get ever deeper, and I might actually get chance to attend a concert. Much love to your reviews!

Im sure ppl have told you by now but the boys were doing a. Lot of side jobs for the company to try to earn money especially before they officially debuted. Like acting in other ppl music videos or dancing as backup dancers. Things like that to make ends meet. Suga & RM talk about how there were times they would feel hopeless not just on if they would make it musically but yes where is the money gonna come from for the basics? Jin the oldest often helped buy food for the others and cooked for them. His family was slightly more wealthy and he used what allowance they gave him to help support the group this way.

But from what I learned from another producer who also reacted to this video is that SAEJAEGI also happens in the west and It’s expensive you need to have budget for that so If BTS’s company was close to bankruptcy how would they afford to do saejaegi? BIGHIT also showed proof that they didn’t do such thing.

No other fandoms laughed at the Billboard award saying it was a paper award & they didn’t want it anyway because it was a social artist award. OT7 is just a way to say you stan the whole group. Like I have a bias but I am OT7 because I love, appreciate, & respect all 7 members & it’s crazy to me that there are people who are solo stans or who don’t stan all 7. Some even actively hate on members they don’t like which really makes absolutely no sense to me because they are all talented & work hard & care deeply for each other.

They're a girl group with an unique debuting concept: they gave all the 12 members their own solo song and music video, as well as subunits with distinct concepts and music genres before debuting them as a whole. This lasted through the course of about 2 years until they finally debuted on August 21st, 2018. They also just recently got their 1st win with their new song called "So What"! There's a really good video out there called "The Avengers of Kpop: A Story of LOONA " I think it explains their story really well. Thank you so much for your reactions 💕

Not saying that other artists and their fans don't care about each other, no. But the love Bangtan has for us and the love we have for them can't be matched. Reason you can make other bands with super talented musicians.. Won't matter. You can't fabricate love and genuine care for one another. Not all but defnitely most real ARMY will care about them til the day we die, no kidding, we really will, no matter what they choose to do with their lives, we got their back. Sajaegi is the name they use to call chart manipulation! @@MONQTV There was 1 investor that kept them from splitting maybe a year after they debuted cause they weren't making any money. Then it was social media! They were active since before devut (their 1st tweet was in Nov. 2012), they built their relationship with ARMY directly. They used to answer to fans and be extremely active on tw and yt.. Posting blogs every one or 2 days. Lil by lil they got a lot of international fandom support which made the whole difference between them and their kpop idol peers? While idols keep a distance (LONG distance) with their fandom and present themselves like these cool dudes you should wanna bang or be sad about cause you 'can't have them', our boys presented themselves as what they were: a small rookie group trying to make it, with their own music! They weren't trying to be sexy and flit with ARMY, though ofc they did and still do that from time to time lol Rarely! More like they tease us cause they can see the thirst from many of us lol They showed their own message and It gave ARMY a sense of closeness other fandoms don't have cause we saw them being born. From nothing! Also international fandom played a huge part cause while other idols have mostly kpop fans, Bangtan has fans of all music genres, all ages, ethnicity, etc. Idol groups target pre-teen /teen girls, Bangtan broke that mold. Our boys now are paying the price though.. :< Like at first I guess they being perceived as a novelty and being something so new to them it was funny and cute. They could use us ARMY to get RT's likes and clicks but the moment they noticed Bangtan had such a huge influence, they could play with the big boys and ARMY could organize so easily w/o the intervention of any of the gatekeepers they actively refused to give Bangtn any place whether it is in US radio or Sp/otify play-listing. We suspect they've been blacklisted cause BH didn't agree to wtv it was they were offering them. We know radios bully artists to do shjt they don't wanna do whenever they wanna. Also that they don't pay royalties to any artists, whether they're from the US or anywhere else, which fkcs musicians up everywhere cause since US radio don't pay anyone, radios from everywhere in the world get to play US music and don't pay either. Bottom line is the artist always loses! I hope for the day Bangtan says FU to all of them and they keep doing their thing, which is what BH is doing somehow by creating their own platform like weverse and directly selling their content to ARMY but Bangtan still cares about charting and they often mention the Gramm*es and BB and radio.. :/ We try really hard to request them but they pretend they can't see us. Bangtan deserves to have the same opportunities their peers have, but their peers pay like.. real money for it! Reason our boys won't get it. Meanwhile they keep using em -_- it's frustrating. It wouldn't be Bangtan if they and us didn't have to struggle with some sht

@@fi0rella That is just to crazy, but you know what I'm glad BigHit is calling the shots for those guys because as I was explaining to my wife once the American industry, or any for that matter who's interest is self gain they will sick the life from them and leave them to deteriorate. It's s cruel industry that doesn't give a damn about anyone. I hope they continue to break records without the use of those big company bullies 😁🕉️💙❤️🙏🏾⛩️

If you’re interested in learning about them as individuals and their personalities, I suggest kzfaq.info/sun/PLlUCISPLKaSmS6Oafbaku_9KMWV0tb8kB since they have short 10 minutes episodes on each members introduction. There’s a group one, but since you already know so much of them as a group then you can skip it and just start on episode 2. I look forward to your future reactions!

Please don't forget to check out Bookish Theories channel as well between her and xCeleste you will be well informed! I am 46 and I have never been so devoted to a group in my life as I am to BTS. I am proud ARMY and just love these guys so much. They lift me up, inspire me and you see that they have integrity. They dont just sing about it they live the words they speak. Shining examples of what a true artist is and should be. Love your channel! 💜

12:54 I'm not sure what you really want to say but I got a feeling that you might mean some thing I had asked to my husband. There has been a channel called "copycat hunter" then it turned its name to "sound similar", it collected many short melodies from pop/kpop musics and do the comparison with the original works which it THINKS those are the original. And I feel down when I saw some BTS's songs are included so I sent the links to my husband and asked him for his opinion. He said some of those comparison videos went too far bc the melodies/beats which it extracted were too short, but in the other hand, for those he has the same thought with the channel owner, he think it is understandable for small poor companies to do so. It is speculation but also it is really common to see among the companies with poor financial support anywhere. And usually the original work owners won't care too much bc they are already successful in their career especially the US companies or artists. After these small companies become richer and bigger and also become careful, stop doing those speculation, they usually will be forgiven. It is not big deal unless they keep doing that after they are not small anymore. I know these should be discuss within ourselves, even it is forgivable it still need to keep low key.
