Our Monster Clay line has expanded to include the new Monster Clay Hard and Soft. The original Monster Clay is now the Medium grade. All may be melted and poured into lifecast molds.

Just to be sure: You don't need to clean out your crockpot between monster-clay variations? Meaning a little will not change the recipe noticeably and basically they are the same? Gonna order the mug. It's a must have. ;-)

All of the Monster Clays are similar enough that residue from different clays is not a problem. That said, in our workshop we have 3 crock pots, 1 for each clay type.

Brick In The Yard Mold Supply That would make sense in a sizable workshop. Once liquid can you still tell the difference or are the pots labeled?

I do label my pots, but you can tell by touch which is which.

I have several dinosaur plastic toys that I want to mold and cast with monster clay (which I would later re sculpt, mold and cast into a stopmotion puppet). So the critical thing for me is how do I design a mold for these toys? and what type of material should I use? I can send you their pictures in email, or here.

If the mold will be 2 pieces or more, I would recommend our 73-25 silicone as it is soft, but not so soft that it will distort the seam of a 2 piece mold. For simple parts with no seam but lots of undercuts, I use our 71-11 as seen in this video.
