Күн бұрынRecently, one of my giant Monsteras suffered a bit of damage from unknown pests. Join me today as I give my Monstera deliciosa a makeover, complete with a repot, soil re-fresh, leaf cleaning, pest treatment, and voila! She will look like a million bucks!
Of course, Whiskey is hanging out with me the entire time! I hope you enjoy the video! We had fun making it!!

The pest you got looks like thrips to me. I had the problem too, and the baby ones are almost microscopic! Also Whiskey is the cutest!!!

Yes I think it was thrips as well. Hardly visible to the eye. What a pain in the butt that was 😂🌿🪴💕

Your videos have been extremely helpful! I have a Rojo Congo I will need to repot and a HUGE monstera that will also need to be tamed and repotted after two years.

Putting the plant 🪴 in the shower with a real nice wash off would flow any remaining bugs that might have nested deeper in the roots. Gorgeous Monstera!

HI! Yes, that's a great way to help with that. Afterwards, use a pest repellant. I mainly use Neem for whatever bugs or eggs fall into the soil. And, yes, I too, often place my plants in my bathtub for a nice shower. And thank you for commenting and watching!

Sorry I am feeling quite desperate, been battling these little demons since last fall and my Monstera is really taking a beating😢 I thought if you could share what the white stuff on your monstera's leaves was it could help my lady.

@@TheNinawitteveen hi Nina! I normally use the kind they sell at Lowes or Home Depot…I have used garden safe and bonide. If you DM me, I can send a picture to you. I always get the concentrate and make it myself. Should I make a video just on this and post it? That might be more useful! I could make a quick one and post it. What do you think?

I have a question. So, I bought a monstera deliciosa from a box store. It's in a sub par pot and soil. Anyways, when it comes time to repot the root ball will be compacted with bad box store dirt and I would like to repot into a better soil mixture. What will I do with the dirt wrapped around the roots? Wash it off? Plant it with the box store dirt in the root ball with the more aerated soil mix? Please help.

Hello! You can replace the soil anytime you wish…the sooner the better! Go up a free pot sized if you want more growth. I went up about 2 or 3 when I first did mine and more out to the ceiling 3 years later. Good luck and keep me posted! Thank you for watching and commenting🌿❤️

@@plantluxxe I know, this is one plant I know can survive in a much larger pot. Two yrs ago when I got mine I was worried ("after potting up") 🙄 in a much larger pot. Did some research and immediately felt better when I read it's ok. She is thriving beautifully with a dose of castings monthly. 😊

@@sharonholmes4444 yes, I potted all mine in a huge pots🤣🍀🌱❤️ that’s why I’m out of room in my house lol. My monstera are so huge. Wait until you see my newest monstera Thai leaves. Omg they are the biggest leaves that just sprouted on my Thai… I need to do another plate on her. I cannot believe how mammoth it’s gotten! Crazy beauty🍀🪴💕 love me so big huge plants 😂

@@plantluxxe Looking forward to seeing her! You have a huge house too! I have 2 Monstera's in one corner and they're starting to hide the fireplace we don't use here in Arizona. 🎋They grow like weeds but love them so 🌿💚🌿 What state are you in? Can you move them outdoors in summer? I cannot.

Do you ever decide that some of the aerial roots are a little too long and cut them off? I bought some cheap microfiber towels at Sam’s club to use because I was spazzing myself out from the paper towel lint left over. 😂🤣🤦🏼♀️

Hi plant sis! I don’t the aerial roots but I sometimes wrap them back into the pot…I have giant ones on all my plants, they are freaky looking I agree 😂 Thank you for watching and commenting🪴💕
