Mooer GE300 is the most underrated device of this type on the market. I don't know why, but for some reason people tend to choose more "popular" brands, even though GE300 and (Lite version too) gives you an unbelievable variety of tones to choose from and create. I've had my Bosses, Line 6's and Headrush, but none of them comes even close in terms of how organic and rich the tones are. If my GE300 Lite ever breaks, I'm just gonna immidiately order another one, the search is over.

It's been a week since i bought GE300. I must say that it shows its best when u caprture your favorite sounding amp with using your own IR. Then i just have incredibly cool presets "in the pocket". Totally recommended.

Boss sounds like as if I were listening directly to the amp. Line 6 sounds as miced speaker, which has more depths, less crisp. Mooer, sounds like it is mix ready. Mooer sounds the most natural to me, through earphones, still not sure if it's best for live settings.

Surprisingly to myself most of the tones I liked in this demo came from the Boss. When they were all ran with an ir the helix sounded better to my ears. Money wise can't go wrong with the mooer

The battle here was between Mooer GE 300 and Boss GT 1000! The Helix ( for me at least ) is definetly out! The Mooer GE 300 was very very close, but sound wise, for me again, the Boss GT 1000 won here! 😋 But considering the price, that I think is also a factor, as Mooer GE 300 has a much lower price (519 GBP on Thomann) in comparising with Boss GT 1000 (911 GBP on Thomann). So depending on your budget and preference also abviously, I think this Mooer would also definetly do a good job in most situations, if the Boss GT 1000 is not in your budget! 🙃😉 Thanks for the review !! 🤩

boss gt-1000 is freaking awsome actually, its just become a fashion to ..must have a axefx kemper or helix, and thrash talk all other gear without even trying it to judge.. buhu line-6 sucks... buhu boss cost 4 times less then my overrated kemper that i run through my 3000 dollar tube amp to profile itself...so it must suck.. fuck that.... my spider v 240 hc sound as good as my helix...even though i only heard shit about it i listen with my ears and not with what glen flicker and all other sheeple belive they mean, so yea i love boss gt-1000 as well :) have a great day

extended range techmetal I use a GT-100 with one of my amps to have wah and some stompboxes with it, a loop for 4 cable method and the abilty to switch channels. Sounds pretty decent in comparison to my not so affordable pedalboard. Reason for me to get the GT-100 over other options up to the pricepoint was having a all in one fx solution with a proper 808 sound, I don’t really care about the amp sims in it, even though they sound pretty decent in Glenn Delaune’s videos, but so do all multifx boards he gets to play around with.

GT-1000 interface is all the problem. With the helix I understood how to make a multi effects processor sound good. Now I get to sound the GT1000 better but I keep on using the helix due to the ease of use. Boss should do something about the interface.

On drive mode, Boss GT 1000 is Mesa Boogie style, Helix LT is Peavey style, and Moore GE 300 is Marshall.

I use Kemper and do not belong to the Church of Kemper. However, who put Kemper killer in the title attempts to get clicks or even worse, did not understand what Kemper is. Basically the créme de la créme of a Kemper unit is the unique possibility of taking an acoustic screenshot of a certain amp, box, and microphone chain under specific settings. I am not aware of another device who works on the same principle. This Mooer is a simulation unit and could maybe be compared with an AxeFX or Helix but it cannot by far be called AxeFX Killer.

@@jesus4pincho as far as I know, they merely have a tone capture feature in the sense of guitar tone parameters. from guitar to the device. Bias FX has this feature too, or similar. Kemper works differently.

Thanks for the comparison! The digital hiss/buzz was most prevalent on the high gain patch on the GT1000, which kills it for me (though imo, the GT1000's crunch patch was the best of the lot here). Not everyone notices it, but once you hear it, you can't un-hear it. Mooer sounded pretty good, as did the helix, but the helix sounded compressed. When put through the same IR, the Mooer came out on top for me.

Got a helix. Love it! You can dial the ass end of a donkey out of it and twiddle to your heart's content. I reckon all these pretty much sound the same if you know what your doing tbh. Helix comes with a lot of extra features though

Listening through my car stereo very loud boss wins. Helix 2nd and moore not for me. Came back months later. Boss sounds great. It's the clear winner here. Mooer 2nd and Helix 3rd. I have a Helix but I'm struggling with a couple tones I want. Wow I would like to bring the boss home to A/B it. I know it's a pain to use but once you get two good patches you're pretty much done for live gigs.

@@bradmodd7856 Yes, clean and break up tones the kind you use in actual paying gigs. Now if you want be in a band and never leave your garage do all the chunk-chunk metal until your fingers fall off. Just for perspective I've played over 300 paying gigs over the years ranging from one offs to recurring for several months club gigs all using clean, breakup and crunch tones without a metal chunk ever defiling my fretboard.

I have a mooer and i am so happy with it live . But....the setting with a mic simulation , distance , types of microphones and cabinets are extremly hard to get right . You need to test it a hundred times and tweak it every time with a live band in a studio and on a gig. Then when you get it right the first time ....it is like magic . You know what is right from wrong in the selection of Amps and cabs . Low and High cut must be set deep if you want that lead distorted tone to come out of the band correctly without harsh Highs and boomy muffled useless low ends. When u cut it right on a right amp then u EQ it . And u also use a booster pedal this is also crucial to get a fenomenal lead distorted rich tone but also with total clarity and response while you play. Also i use a bit of compresion and that is a 100% mega WIN for me. Boss gt100 ,1000, Helix also many other processors when i compared it to my Ge300 Mooer ....the boss sounded like a outdated childrens toy for home low volume playing and nothing else ....also boss is not bad but if you compare it next to mooer with a good setup it is like comparing a family car to a Ferrary F1 .

Da ihr die 3 Geräte GE 150, 200 und 300 alle habt, könnt ihr die mal Soundmäßig vergleichen (mit externer IR). Gibts da Unterschiede in der Qualität? So meine ich es, gehört zu haben, kann es aber nicht testen. Vielleicht wegen unterschiedlichen AD-Wandlern, weniger Processing-Power oder so..? An die Specs kommt man nicht so leicht ran. Wahrscheinlich hilft aber nur selbst bestellen und testen, aber ich kann ja mal fragen. Danke!

There are some details missing on the top end from the Mooer compared to the Gt1000 and Helix. But it became a tad brighter when used with the same IR.

Try making a similar review by not showing what you are playing and then asking in the comment section what sounded best. Musicians, especially "bedroom" ones are influenced more by a brand than by a sound. That is clear as a day from the comment section. If you didn't show the actual products and just asked the comment section to grade which one sounded better, the results would have been very different. The majority of "bedroom" musicians are more influenced by their headstocks and pedal brands than by the sound. The reason is cause most cant' play 3 songs in total, so they try to "cure" those complexes by buying expensive stuff.

I had the Preamp Live from Mooer. Great sounds, i have to credit that for them but the software was horrible. I had 2 units that both malfunctioned on the software part. It made it unusable.

Not for nothing but I do not think this is an accurate shootout. I can make the helix sound exactly like that. But this doesn't surprise me after the way you made a Mesa Boogie JP2C sound horrible a few months ago. LOL I don't know exactly how dialed these in. But I think that if you are trying to achieve a certain tone, all of these units will get you there. Its just a matter of tweaking and adjusting. I think what it comes down to in these units is the flexibility and ease of use. They can all sound killer.

1st: Line6 Helix HT 2nd: Boss 3rd: Mooer You can actualy the level of aliasing and fizz that the sound has in each, preety big in the Mooer. Nice effort from Mooer, but still a long way to go to get to the top.

This is not a good comparison. 1) The volume/loudness are not equal which has a huge impact on how we hear tone. 2) The patches were not the same, if they are not set to sound the same, don't expect a valid comparison. There is a lot more to check to see what is best for you, so don't expect this video to be the final word.
