@@anaiswinter9893 think about how Steven was to some extent in conscious denial about his mother when talking to Dr Harrow, rather than being truly entirely unaware. The system is in active denial about Jake because they've barely gotten a handle on having 2 alters. They will have to confront it eventually but they're avoiding it.

They were already hinting at that with her scarab motifs and spending so much of episode 4 using red flares

FYI, THE SCARLET SCARAB last appeared as one of the international heroes that helped fight NAZIs during WWII, and was a sometimes ally of THE INVADERS; featuring CAPTAIN AMERICA...

@@ianburns1167 ya and in the episode of her in the insane asylum she had a red scarab drawn on her bandage on her finger. They really made her character so cool.

Personal theory: Layla's father was also an avatar of Tawaret and the Scarlet Scarab. And he was on the way to Khonshu's temple to protect someone or something, and he was subsequently killed.

I didn't catch that goldfish metaphor on the first watching, but you're absolutely right! Two fish in the tank now but unaware of what's happening outside it.

You can go even further. The fish with the missing fin, is Steven (with a v), who is broken because he is missing parts of his life and knows something is very wrong, but he doesn't have proof and he doesn't know if he is just going insane. At this point, he is not even aware of Marc, but still as much a part of it as Marc and as much trapped in the aquarium. When he finally gets confirmation that puts him on the right track and confirms it to himself that he is not "just" imagining it, the fish is replaced and has two fins.

As soon as I saw his murder gloves I knew. Then he spoke Spanish and Oscar Isaac is Guatemalan (and I think Cuban), so it clicked even more. But then again I figured he’d be the post-credit scene.

@@TheOnlyHawkeye666 I wasn't even paying attention to the hat. I have never read a Moon Knight comic though, so even though I knew he had it, the hat just passed by me entirely. For me, it was the fact that I was somewhat able to recognize Oscar Isaac's face from angles that you probably wouldn't stop to think "Hey, that's Oscar Isaac," and then it was fucking Oscar Isaac. And then there was the kicking of the wheelchair. It seemed unnecessarily violent.

It was amazingly subtle. I actually had it in my head that it was the Midnight Man character or someone working for him. Didn't realize until the window rolled down.

@@jinxie712 Layla’s hair is brown and way curlier. Her armor is more cloth-based rather than WW’s plated-armor. WW’s solid gold and Layla’s has white as the primary color, with some scarlet on the sides and bronze wings (sure there’s gold too). The overall design is different. I see more comparisons to Falcon. Not the suit design, but the fight style and utility of the wings.

It's been submitted to awards shows as a "limited series"....so unless they changed their mind AFTER submitting it...it's only 1 season, sadly.

The person that was scarlet scarab in the comics was Abdullah El Foley (possibly butchered spelling) aka: Laylas dad.

@@Wiley_Coyote Not a "villain" per se... just a hero who wasn't originally on the same side of the fight as the main heroes. He was protecting Egypt from outside invasion... that included the "Invaders" which were the hero team at the time.

While I agree with u I do feel the character development was still great for the main character. Maybe a tad bit longer but still a very solid show.

It shows that Marvel / Disney and all the writers and directors respect their actors. Ethan Hawke came up with that on his own because was invested in the character they offered him, and the production team embraced it and ran with it. They made it such a memorable part of his every appearance when they could have made Arthur Harrow just another disposable villain to hate. Mad Props to Ethan Hawke and the entire team.

I missed superhero live action stuff but about one and only superhero, not connecting to the rest of the universe although crossovers are cool they kinda became stale and I missed a single superhero live action thing with one superhero and his villian and or villians. That's why this is my favourite Marvel project in a long time and that's why I loved the latest Batman movie because they stand on their own.

Yeah, it seems like Marc only killed his specific hits Khonshu would give him...because there wasn't THAT many people in the dead body room. And Marc could remember where he was when he killed them by the city name. There would have been many MANY more if that room included the bodies killed by Jake as well.

The Midnight Mission run from 2021 had a second “Fist of Justice” who kinda-sorta fought against our Moon Knight. His name was Dr. Badr. His Moon Knight costume had a full moon, instead of a crescent, and in addition to his black and white garb, he also had gold armor accessories. I think that would be amazing to see, even though this show took from a different run all together.

It’s SPKTR, all white with glowing eyes/headlights (which were on during the day), no parking problems and perfect for body disposal.

Them not showing Jake's fights was us not seeing Marc's fights at episode 1. I think that's okay because with this they can either end it at Marc and Steven being "at peace" or they can expand and explore Jake and i tegrate him to the other two

Yeah, it's not only a tactic to keep the rating down...it's also just how DID works, IRL, when you have high dissociative/amnesia barriers with an alter in a system. None of the systems I've seen watch this show ever feel cheated by the blackout scenes...they are just like "yup, that's accurate. That's a thing that happens." minus the waking up with blood and violence around you, obviously.

I don't see why they'd "fight" Jake... he's not a villain. He's just a version of them that doesn't have as many qualms about getting his hands dirty.

@@RookCustoms whatever clown, lmao, Jesus hypervbole much? They weren't gonna slow down with this much tension building and the setup to Jack's reveal was masterful. That is how you payoff foreshadowing throughout an entire season, while not spoiling the main twist.

Yeah, it's just another accurate depiction of a DID blackout. Without all the blood and violence, obviously. Marc and Steven have very high dissociative/amnesic barriers between them and Jake...so they will ALWAYS blackout when he fronts until they can start communicating with him and slowly lowering those barriers.

There's also just NPCs in innerworlds in DID...people alters can interact with but are NOT alters in the system that can take control of the body. There are also alters that ARE a part of the system...but choose to stay internal and only front of ABSOLUTELY necessary. ( From my research, it's usually caretakers who do this. They look after the child alters the majority of the time and only front of the body really really needs... caretaking and the other alters aren't able to accomplish self care themselves) The internal Harrow is more likely to be an NPC than an internal alter that can front. But only the writers would know for sure.

@@kvoltti okay...but then there would need to be a reason therapist Harrow was subconsciously created. To help them open up to each other? Bc that's all he has really done. Help Marc open up to Steven and maybe process some of the trauma Marc went through. But that's... dangerous for the system. Not helpful. It's always best to process trauma with an ACTUAL professional because destabilization is extremely common when processing trauma. It's a very tricky delicate process and if you do it incorrectly with DID patients it can absolutely cause MORE splits and dissociation to happen. And therapist Harrow may THINK he is a therapist able to help them...but he isn't. Just like an alter who is a doctor ...thinks they are a doctor but most of these alters also know they absolutely do not have the ability to help those out here with medical issues. They can give their best guess...but they usually are aware they are not medical doctors with proper training.( Multiplicityandme is an example of that! Jamie was a family doctor in their innerworld and would give advice to their friends out here if they had any minor issues...that was usually pretty good advice tbh...but he also knew he wasn't actually a doctor out here. They theroized he was a doctor bc they dealt with pretty severe neglect so he would front to take care of them when they were very sick or if they got injured bc their parents wouldn't look after them in those moments throughout their childhood and teenage years...which is very shitty of their parents but neglect is shitty. An example of a therapist alter who was under a BUNCH of denial and didn't know they weren't a professional is The Entropy System. She had a split happen and an alter who thought the Entropy system was her patient appeared...and started phoning friends and family to interview them. Thankfully, those who got such phone calls played along! They were in massive denial that they were an alter. Totally thought they were just doing their job as a therapist. But with work from an actual therapist they were able to slowly whittle away at that denial and Dissociative/amnesia barriers and communicate with that alter and that alter was able to eventually realise they were an alter and not actually a therapist.) Both systems I mentioned are on KZfaq. Super informative channels. I highly recommend checking them out! But yeah...they would have to come up with a reason why...if internal Harrow IS an alter who can control the body and not just an NPC they can interact with in the innerworld. It's a very interesting theory! But a complex one due to how DID actually functions.
