A lot of people are asking how these are for gaming: They're excellent for it and have a gigantic soundstage than makes the blon bl03 feel tiny and congested, and excellent imaging, so tracking distance and direction of sounds is excellent.

If you're disappointed by the bass, just tape upthe vent near the eartip with micropore or electrical tape, it increases the bass and reduces the harshness on the highs a bit

I work in a high end gym on the night crew cleaning. I now own 3 pairs of blon 03s because of their throwaway pricing. I'm sure looking forward to re opening of our gym I'm sure the lads with the bucks will leave them lying around. Let you know. I also bought 2 sets of blon 03. That good.

This IEM in fact sold likes a hot cake in Indonesia, great sounding overall, not having any major complaints or weakness since this one is the less bass version of SSP

What about Tin Hifi T1 Plus vs Moondrop SSR? They both have Beryllium Dynamic Drivers, I think Tin Hifi T1 Plus has that 98% beryllium coating in its driver.

I definitely agree when you said this sound like in-between of ba and dd iem. In my opinion the ssr sounds like a good single ba iem without all the limitation of a single ba iem, like poor extension or small soundstage, definitely a worthy iem to consider.

I bought a DT6 from senfer following your review last year and really enjoyed it. How is SSR compared to DT6 in terms of soundstage? Many thanks!

I don't have the DT6 (yet, I'm going to have one in february-ish), but the SSR has a gigantic soundstage and amazing imaging, it doesn't isolate as well as a lot of IEMs however, but you'd be used to that given the DT6 is fully open.

IEM Diffuse Field Compensation, direct from MiniDSP. Small tips frankly I always go medium so not yet. Do you like yours with small fit?

Thanks makes sense why the graph looks that way. Yes small tips and stuff them all the way in are the way to go imo. Boosts the bass in a very natural way while still keeping the detailed open sound unlike the tape mod that makes it muddy and blurry in the treble. The bore needs to seal properly with the middle ear and M tips were too fat for my ear. Only able to do shallow fit with M size tips which removes the subbass rumble.

I have SSR. Sound nice but poor isolate and got some electric leak when connect to computer. I'm looking for new IEM with sound similar SSR but better isolation and non-electric leak in same price. Any suggestion? (use for stage and some mixing) (I have TFZ Series 2 too but I like SSR 's sound than S2)

@@souropashibondhon7044 They have a little bit at first, but they soften up after using them for about a week or so. I can confirm this, as I broke my pair that I had used for a month and my new pair sounded vastly different. It eventually mellowed out to where the old pair was, and I love them. I jump back and forth between my Arias and SSRs (using them with Fiio BTR5), and I would say they are very comparable technicality-wire, but the Aria has more agreeable tuning for most. For someone that daily drives Sundara's at home, the SSRs were a huge surprise once they mellowed out. Best $40 I have ever spent!

Looking around headfi, it should be pretty soon. Someone predicted on August 1st that maybe 1-2 months. Moondrop said they are focusing their attention on the SSR production. They have the SSP design finished, they will just announce it later.

I owned SSR, mu music mostly Jpop, aimer, Lisa, amazarashi, ryokuoshoku shakai etc... And im satisfied with the sound Clear and crispy vocal, great separation, the bass is not bassy. Definitely not for basshead.

TheXAstray What about treble harshness up on the higher notes? My ears are sensitive so I don’t want really harsh sounds from high pitched vocals at the top end.

@@kamasu4222 for me the harshness come in when Higher sound volume (literally 85% on my phone), But for me its still acceptable (not like KZ tho, KZ more harshness and sibilance) , But mostly "ideal sound volume(75-80%)" will not have harshness and sound great already.

Moondrop SSP, though the SSR (I have one will do an amazing job) I find the bl03 muddy with a tiny congested soundstage in comparison.

this IEM right here, got thrown to my hall of shame drawer in less than a day of trying it. this one is amazingly... bad imo. I for the love of god honestly don't know how this IEM got so many 4 or 5 stars out there. Bass is just non-existent, to the point it feels like I'm only listening only the upper half of my tracks. Treble feels peaky, shouty, and just... a whole big no no for me. Mids are there, not good, not bad, it's just there. So yeah, avoid this one and buy yourself a pizza or two with that money.

@@shameermohamed4345 I've tried one before, it's... fiiineee. tonality is good, but technicality, soundstage, and comfort is abyssmal. But again, I tried that after getting used to higher end models like Sundara and R70x. So for a newcomer, it's "good enough".

Thanks for the review , actually you tempted me to buy this , my thoughts follows MOONDROP SSR, it will amaze you based on your music taste and sense For example Liberian girl - MJ , Careless whisper, Jesus to a child - George Michael If have these kind of songs in your playlist, just go 4 it , you can hear Mj, GM's breathe :) Strictly not for EDM kind songs , it doesn't mean there is no Bass , it's there , but don't expect a tubthumping feel If your playlist contain lots of classical stuffs, soft melodies of 80s 90s , and if you are the person who prefer to listen music at volume level 50 to 60% , Go 4 This I landed to this cuz of extreme reviews, both positive and negative, so obviously too much curiosity aroused First I tested with my iPad ., (Before burning) it sounds really good at volume 75% - song " unna nenachu" from Psycho , the guitar strings hit directly my head :) it's just great. Then i tried "Thooriga" - Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru (for the past 1 month all 4 tracks in loop, lovely album) with my OP7 , Ak xb 10 dac , Neutron Music player I Just hiked bass little and volume at 85.... suddenly a rattling sound started at right side..MILD DISTORTION🤦♂️😔 Then I googled to know if any one faced this same , an Amazon reviewer said the same and he also mentioned even after replacement he is experiencing the same, so i thought it's a tuning issue I changed the wires to 2.5mm same issue in that also Checked with power amp ,no improvement But USB audio player handled this well seems like the Auto gain option is very accurate , so even if tried to increase the bass , no rattling happened I suggest it's better to leave all the Equalizer to be FLAT Now I burned this approx 30 plus Hours , sounds slightly better ,hope it will get much better after 20 more hrs Hope my review gave you some clarity Note : if you are new to IEM , just go 4 BLON 03, it's very balanced drivers , and it will handle all kind of genres brilliantly

ssr has more resolution than bl03? I have bl03 and want something more neutral

So does SSR have advantage over BL in resolution/micro detail being beryllium plated or is that just more of sound signature illusion? Mine are shipment delayed and I have a chance to cancel if there is no clear uniqueness other then tonaly (since I own BL-03). Someone pointed out they sound something in between of BA and DD. That sounds cool but without understand what that means, in simpler term, does that make them uniquely awesome? Thats the impression I got from HonestAudioReview. Super*Review and zpolt also likes them.
