I was thinking of buying moondrop ssr but there are many forums saying its very shouty I just want to know if ssr is good the following types of songs, can you please listen to the songs I will list and tell me if I should go with the moondrop ssr clementine - grentperez lie - mad clown Jo Duk Bae - When You Come To My Heart idea of her - cavetown

Great review! Do thay have nozzle holes? Maybe the bass can be boosted if you seal the holes (like T2 bass mod).

I should have the SSP in a week or 2 and hopefully they will be even better.

I've been considering if I should buy the Tin T2 Plus if I already own these. I love almost everything about the SSR tbh, minus the occasional shouty upper midrange. Do you think the Tin T2 Plus is different enough to justify spending another $60.

I guess it depends how much that shoutiness bothers you. The T2 Plus is a fantastic IEM. It has more airiness and a more forward bass so if you want those things then maybe you should go for it.

If i use only dongle to drive it, is it still good. I love listening Instrument, orchestra, and vocal, not about bass.

Can you recommend something that got “dirty”, fat treble? Not sure if I can say “compressed” treble... Without that sip sip sip super thin needle-like treble that most of those iems got nowadays? Like old vinyl style? Treble without extension. Should I dig more into players than iems to find my own?

Yeah sure. Check out the CVJ CSA or Hidizs MS1-Rainbow for budget IEMs. In the mid-range, TFZ No.3.

This one is fairly neutral or you can try the Tin Hifi T2.

The SSR is just a bit raw and that 3khz peak can be fatiguing.

They did a reboot of the silver ones. It’s not gloss anymore. It’s matte silver now.
