Great test of a good knife in great steel. For the price of a 14C28N knife it's extremely good in edge retention, toughness, and stainless along with easy to sharpen, Strop, and maintain, probably my favourite budget steel for both fixed blades and folders. I have the RUIKE Jager a 4" full tang fixed blade in 14C28N and it's a great user knife. I have a few folders as well in this steel and it holds up magnificently for the price. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

This is the second time you have used science and brute force to demonstrate facts in a way that changed my opinions. Science still lives on the internet, so credit to you Sir. I have always been a big fan of Mora knives because they invest so heavily into the whole "quality for the price point" metric. But this surprises me. I was NOT expecting a premium knife like the Garberg to perform to such a high degree. Viewing Mora as "experts in value" I was shocked to see that their high end knife performed WAY above more expensive rivals. Thank you for destroying the knives I love, so I can make informed decisions on my long term relationships

It hold exactly as I expected and I am kinda happy with the performance cause I would never put this much stress in this knife if I end up with this knife in a survival situation. The edge hold up as I always heard a Scandi grind would hold, not very strong because we trade a stronger edge for a more thin edge that will bite into wood and that will also be easier to sharpen free hand. The steel, 14C28N, didn't disappoint. I heard it is a very tough and corrosion resistant steel and it was proved by your test to be in fact very tough. Imagine an ESEE 5 made with this steel and heat treatment. It would give you a great workout before breaking.

After watching your video I went out and bought myself this knife. It’s my early birthday present. I’m normally a carbon steel guy, but I really like 14c28n. An I like mora commented on your video. It’s always great when you know a company is watching its product. I wanted a survival knife I can use in all weather and environment. I live very close to the ocean and I love fishing. I think this is a great lower maintenance knife. Keep up the great work brother

I finally bought mora garberg due your videos, it was just impressive the durability of blade and how much it could bend before breaking apart. I took really long time considering between lionsteel m5 and ended up buying mora because of your abuse video lionsteel m5 and mora and whole lot of other knife torture test videos. Price of mora was also more attractive than lionsteel m5.

Ich würde mein Garberg (Carbon steel) niemals so misshandeln, dafür liebe ich es zu sehr... Obwohl es bei mir schon einiges erledigen muss... Ich bin allerdings beeindruckt was beide Versionen vom Garberg aushalten. Ich habe mittlerweile das Garberg, Kansbol, Eldris und 3 Compagnon MG. Mora baut einfach nur gute Messer und ich bin echt begeistert davon. Grüße aus Kleve/NRW

Love that glock:) recently got my umarex replica and now I sleep with it. And yeah the knife was impressive

0:30 I don't think that handle is the best for stabbing. As in, your hand slides onto the tang. It doesn't happen often with your tests, but here it did. The Mora Companion has a small guard, but no slipping there. TPE grip helps also. The Hultafors GK has a little guard to prevent this sliding. This Garberg is one of the few knives having the hand sliding on the blade..

14c28n is high in toughness. The stainless version is much tougher then the carbon which is similar to 1095.

Wow you got to stop breaking all the knives I currently own. I just bought a Estwing 16 inch Camper's Nylon-Vinyl Shock Reduction Grip Handle Axe if you get a chance test it.
