Part 2 of Morakniv Monday, featuring the Mora Light My Fire Swedish Fireknife. We test some of the knife's bushcraft abilities, including the spine of the knife, light wood processing and carving. This is an outstanding, all around woods blade, with the stainless steel acting to protect it against rust.

You are right in saying how important prep work is to build a fire. Fatwood really helps, but I believe most fire failures are caused by putting too big a piece(s) of wood on a fire that has little heat/flame built up. Excellent demo of the Light My Fire Mora. Thanks!

Mora knives are wonderful. My favorite is the Kansbol. It has a 90 degree spine and the front of the knife has a different grind that is great for food prep. 🎸🔪

As I stated in part one, I own this knife and it is an EDC item for me. And I will add here that this video was probably the best that I've seen on YT...and I've seen most if not all. And when combined with fatwood...well....geewiz.... you WILL have fire. Fatwood is also an EDC for me. A little goes a long way. Very nice well done review Sir! Thanks!!!

Forestwalker111 Thank you, my friend! I appreciate the very kind words! I truly believe that. I feel like there are many people who tell how things should or shouldn't be done and I have never been a fan of that. We are all just having fun here, while learning and applying in our own way. It's a huge reason why 10 videos can be of the exact same thing, however, one person may feel connected to one video and another person to another video. Great to hear from you, my brother! -Dave

What's better than Mora Monday? Mora Wednesday! Thanks Dave for clearifying what will strike a ferro rod, vs flint. I just got in a flint and steel set, and can't wait to try it out. Darn you Dave...everytime I watch your videos I end up spending some money, LOL. I just ordered a Mora Light My Fire knife in an outlandish color. Hope to make a series of fire starting videos myself soon. Take care brother, great videos! ~John
