As a morde main, I do not like this version of him. It's not that the design is bad or something like that, it just doesn't fell or look much like mordekaiser apart from the helm and armor. Also, in lore, morde destroyed his throne because he saw it as a sign of weakness, and his whole thing is that he became mordekaiser because he disliked the weakness of flesh. Now him sitting on it just makes the lore feel, idk empty? I'm hoping they change it, if not idc.

Very glad to see Morde in LoR, but it's weird how he's blue like Xerath instead of green. I know they probably don't want to align him with the Shadow Isles, but he even admits that the magic that makes him is similar to the kind that created the Ruination.

the thing is, he shouldn't be aligned with the Shadow Isles, but that's where Nilah's ship went at the end of the first part of the expansion, plus his follower from the variety set is from SI, so I feel like they might've made him an SI champ

The reason he is blue is because spirits in their "pure" form in the death realm are blue. This can be seen with Kindred's cards and followers. Whereas spirits currently within the realm of the living like Viego's army or Mordekaiser's League of Legends splash art, are green.

Am i the only one who is not vibing with nilah? She comes out of nowhere with untold amounts of ego and takes on mordekaiser and volibear and probably thinks she can take on aatrox and asol too. It’s a little absurd. I can’t really take her seriously or riot for that matter. I feel they are playing favorites with their new characters.

His armor makes sense, he is THE FIRST true noxian... but his LoL armor kinda has a "Before modern times" vibe, and looks less goofy. @@Crescendobroi believe she did the same as Swain and made a deal with the demon, not beat it, and Morde is far from scared of Swain to the point where he mocks his "burrowed power". Though it *seems* Nilah made a deeper pact with her demon than Swain did with his, riot has kind of hyped up Morde as the final boss to beat all final bosses so Nilah shouldn't stand a chance alone.

@@Tiltigo If you look at Nilah's lore she claims to have beaten Ashlesh into a position where he made a deal with her. Based off how Nilah was described before gaining Ashlesh's powers it was probably an intellectual competition of some kind but the fact remains she made one of The Ten Kings submit. Mordekaiser had demons under his control sure but they weren't any of the Ten Kings, same with Swain his demon Raum is also just a Demon, Ashlesh and Fiddlesticks are on another level. Morde also isn't back to full strength yet, he's still collecting Souls and gathering power. I have no doubt ultimately Mordekaiser would beat Nilah since she lacks a way to destroy his soul. I just think Morde might lose a round or two since Nilah isn't a slouch in terms of power but once he figures her out he's not losing again. That's the most sinister part about Mordekaiser; no matter how many times you get rid of him, he'll just go hide in his corner of the Death Realm until he's ready to come back, bigger, stronger and with more than one plan on how to kill you

Please, for the love of Aurelion Sol, dont mess this up. Nilah is strong yes, it is, but mordekaiser is a god of death himself. I dont saying to kill nilah, she can win a battle yes, settling back his plans for now, narrowly escaping being annihilated, but victorius, but killed him, never? no, riot need mordekaiser for a epic ending. He is Sauron, He is the Lich King, the only way for his defeat would be a massivel battle, if armys joining together to face him, its perfect. Another thing, Any demon, even the primordials would be more than happy to join forces with kaiser, as he can bring the horror and fear they all desires upon the world.

@@MH-ct3co Nah it's literally Elder Dragon, which will probably become a LoR-first champion (similar to the Poro King) this expansion with the previous variety patch with all those dragons being his follower package. He'll likely be a Runeterran champ with "You may put any non-champion cards with the word "Dragon" on them into your deck during deckbuilding.

This is the first time in a while that I'm legitimately disappointed in a LOR redesign. His armor just looks wayy too blocky, where did all the cool spikes, heavy knight armor and chains go? It looks like they wanted him to be more in line with the common Noxus theme, but he lost a lot of what made him cool and threatening in the process. This is just my opinion though, at the end of the day I'm sure most people will be happy with it. Not to mention his lore will finally be able to move forward after all the time we've been waiting.

Noxus's imagery and the design of its structures is supposed to be based in Mordekaiser and the inmortal bastion so it kinda makes sense, though I wish they could've make him look more unique since this design and the one from league look too "generic mmo raidboss" to me
