Every time I see Mr Regier my brain expects him to have a heavy German accent. I think reminding a defendant that they're up against Mr Regier specifically should be part of the colloquy about being pro se. Judge: "Do you understand that you'll be held to the same standard as an attorney?" Defendant: "I'm not worried." Judge: "Do you understand that you will be expected to know the court rules and how to file?" Defendant: "Yes." Judge: "Do you understand that your opponent is Mr Regier?" Defendant: "I have entirely rethought my position and would like an attorney."

Sometimes, it looks like J. Regier is actually reading our comments when they pop up. I could swear I saw the hint of grins from time to time. 😅

*I* just feel like, it was in ol boy's best interest to have someone escort him over there and *they* get his stuff. Sherrif's deputy, a homie, somebody. And do it during the day. You weren't born yesterday, you KNOW you are under a court order, and you are *literally* in DV classes that are *court ordered* - if you know that stuff is liable to get spicy, DON'T GO OVER THERE BY YOURSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. It's a bad idea. You've got priors. I'm not saying he did all the stuff they said he did- I'm just saying he put himself in a realllllly bad position where stuff is gonna go left and then, no matter what, legally, you are not even supposed to be there in those situations.

I'll tell you EXACTLY what happened with Mr Suavee. He laid claim to this girl. When he said he was going to see his mom he actually went to see another girl. He returned to get his things, noticed that she parked in back. Because HE is a serial cheater, he assumes she's parked in back to appear like she's not home because she has a guy over. He enters angry and accusatory and is hell bent on finding a man in her room. When his theory is proven wrong and she makes it clear she's done with him, this narcissist is really angry and assaults her. As for the videos, I can guarantee that this guy gaslights and abuses until his victim snaps then he starts recording her reactions. I don't condone her ridiculous behavior or the fact that she stays with a guy like this but the red flags with this guy are too numerous to count

Sounds to me like she blew his phone up and he never answered because he was "having dinner with his mom" (probably was cheating). She got mad when he finally showed up for the booty call and she got aggressive and grabbed the knife. They went back and forth and he eventually grabbed the stool and hit her. Sounds mutual to me

If I was on the jury I wouldn’t convict him. Wayyyyy too much reasonable doubt. She picked up the knife first, she invited him over and into the house, she has been very aggressive towards him before with a knife. And on count two she is the one that made the contact not peaceful. Even if this isn’t how it went down there’s enough evidence to poke holes in the prosecutions case.

We haven't seen the layout of the apt, but she already said he was trying to push her away from the door (so he could leave) to grab a barstool he would probably have to be closer to where the barstools would be found which is further into the apt, not right inside the front door. I think he was trying to block getting stabbed while still trying to get out. Then he used the stool to push her off cauing the brusing. ?? These 2 should have parted ways years ago.
