The only thing I hate about these Defense Items Nerfs is they nerfed Dominance Ice. Without it, how do we counter Karrie who deals True Damage and cannot be reflected by Blade Armor? (Extra damage can't be reflected)

I feel like Cici needs a damage buff now after this update. Cici is mainly focus on high mobility with great sustain while dealing damage over time, before this change war axe is enough to deal decent damage with defense items and trying to survive. However if defense items get nerf meaning Cici wouldn't sustain that long to deal the amount of damage needed in time to kill a semi tanky hero before getting outplay by heroes that's strong at early game like dyrroth, terrizle, xborg or yz.

I hope the Joy adjustment doesnt go through as fun as more damage is the full CC immunity is what made her ult feel so rewarding to get right

Please tell moonton, the reason we build defense items on fighters is not about stats. It's about their passive. Ml doesn't have reliable anti-heal items for fighters. We are stuck with Dominance ice

Even as Experimental Adjustment, the extra DMG is useless if you're already cc chained to the ground even you wait for their skills nah. They saving these CC skills for you.

The total subtracted defense is 83 points for all defense items. 83/7 = 11.857 per item. Given that tanks equip 5 defensive items, the total lost defense from items is 59.286 or 60 defense at level 15. The defense growth for tanks is increased by 3 points for physical and 1.5 points for magic. It can be triggered 14 times so 14(3+1.5) = 63 63>60 so it's a net positive for tanks meaning it is a buff. In addition to that, tank roamers have lower gpm meaning they get items slower compared to everyone. This adjustment is superrr good for tank mains like me. The problem with this is there will be lesser flex picks on exp lane. I am also worried about the mages when sky piercer. I suggest adjusting it to 2.5 for physical and 2 for magic. There are only a few options for magic defense right now.

Personally, they could've done better than nerfing every single defense stat of every single defense item. While I actually like the increased defense growth of tank heroes, I think it would be WAY BETTER if they made an "exclusive nerf to certain roles" to all defense items, like the one they did to War Axe where Marksmen, Mages and Supports only get 5% true damage instead of 10%, than nerfing all of them to the ground. Defense items are there to make a hero more durable and tanky. What's the point of them if they can't even do their "job" properly (Actually make your hero more durable and tanky)? My suggestion is make it so that all pure Marksmen, Mages and Assassins ("Pure" as in it's their only role. Ex. their only role is Marksman, not Marksman/Mage, etc) only get 70% (or lower) of the stats of defense items. For example, let's say a defense item gives 1,000 HP and 100 Defense, and a pure Marksman/Mage/Assassin buys that item. Since they only get 70% of the stats a defense item gives them, they will only get 700 HP and 70 Defense, instead of the original 1,000 HP and 100 Defense, because 70% of 1,000 is 700, and 70% of 100 is 70. Sorry for the long comment, but I think this is far better than what Moonton did.

As a tank main it's a good adjust about the defense stat since it's so true that some fighters is over performing than real tanks interms of defense, with this update if you really want a tank or a hard tank to the team, it really needs these tank hero, unlike before, you can use Xborg as hard tank as well as arlot, barats, fredrin, and yuzhong.

I am an assassin main and saber is my most used hero and the adjustments are fine but I dont think it will affect saber all that much. I was hoping saber got an attribute buff or made him more flexible by making his dash able to be use twice but they basically made him easier to use for beginners. Saber will still never be used competitively and I dont think this was quite a buff.

The items are also indirect nerfs to Divine Glaive and the Physical penetration (by %) item, so these items against fighters with defense will be nearly useless. Meanwhile will be so necessary against tanks... Maybe some supports could be forgotten so they don't build more attack items and, instead, force building those PEN items.

Recently poured 3 weeks of my life to do a tier list article for a European gaming site and I gambled putting Harith, Joy, and Masha in Tier D as they're actually underpowered compared to other heroes who needs less actions to reach optimal effects. Great to see that my findings were right as proven by these buffs and tweaks. I tiered Ling lower than most assassins to because the energy consumption is sure worse than Fanny's and his combo is far more defensible.

That means squishy heroes will likely be less tanky when using the nerfed items. So in the end we will see high damage dealers one shot or 2 shot squishy heroes with defense item. That immortality is surely almost not a tank item with that 15 defense added.

Will this end the support meta? Edit: Blade armour nerf isn't necessary, nobody but tanks and tanky fighters use it anyways(teriz, gatot, ruby, anyone that can tank marksmen as much as a tank)

Sky piercer should not exist. Its like you can retri enemy heroes. 10% hp can still make a comeback but with sky piercer, youre playing the game with 90% hp

Wouldn't the nerf on the defensive items be more disadvantageous to tanks? I get that there's the higher defense growth for tanks to balance it but the effects could possibly be felt in the mid-late stages of the game. By that time, the damage-oriented heroes would have their core items already which could make the defense growth irrelevant especially when they equip damage penetration items.
