Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are finally here and I'm excited to play the first truly Open World mainline Pokemon Game! I chose Pokemon Violet simply because my favorite color is purple. The starters Sprigatito, Quaxly and Fuecoco are all promising but I chose to go with Fuecoco because his final evolution Skeledirge is too good!

Hey man, if you press x+b+up on the title screen it opens up a hidden save debug/backup menu and you should be able to recover from where you crashed. Don't know if you'll see this in enough time, but it saved me from an unexpected crash too.

Fun fact about gengars shiny, Ken Sugimori loves gengar right everyone knows that, but he preferred the shiny sprite so they basically changed the normal sprite over time to basically be the same as the shiny sprite

The cool thing is pokemon will listen to you forever as long as you caught them within badge range. Doesn't matter what level they get to.

even if you catch them out of badge range, once your badge range matches the level you caught them at, they will listen to you then onwards

"Why do we have Bubba Gump" offends me as a Northern Californian (It started in Monterey), but also as someone who wants a Pokemon themed restaurant I would trade it in a heartbeat

One of the first things I did was disabling Auto-Save and over the 50+ hours play time Saving has become second nature to me. I do it before and after anything minor/major... doesn't matter. Probably every 5 minutes. I'm sorry for your loss, Fruit, but at least you didn't lose your Shiny.

damn playing this mess without autosave, you are a braver man than i. i think the worst part is you have to look at that team star leads boots again. shiny corvisquire still lookin sick af tho. dunno if you know what shiny corviknight looks like or not but just, mmf. bueno.

How dare you Fruit, Tinkaton is my favorite pokemon from this gen, shes adorable and hilarious, she's also been carrying my party, super good stats, and a busted moveset -Swordsdance -Play Rough -Protect -Gigaton Hammer Yet to meet a Mon she can't one-shot with 1 swords dance

I don't have this game, but can't you still manually save if you have autosave turned on? That seems like something that should be a thing if it isn't already.

remember when pokemon actually did die... well not really but during gen one we had the dead marowak and in the anime charmanders tail almost went out and almost died

So I went to this gym for my 5th badge. Turns out some things do kind of mix up based off of what order you go in. Nemona challenged me AFTER my gym battle and her starter could 1hit KO everything in my party that didn't resist even though I was 5lvl higher on average. It almost killed my run. Skeledirge saved me.

You could do a 2v2 soul link run or a 2v2 cagelocke Edit: "This game is so bad but I love it" is a complete vibe.

There’s actually a hidden auto save feature in the game. 😢 you can go to the menu. Press X,B and up on the d-pad on the title screen to load it….

Yeah this game has hard crashed on me once and soft-locked twice. After that I was like auto save stays on, game is long enough as is I don’t need to redo hours of progress

I got a water tera garchomp and holy hell that's so good. Water resists ice and takes neutral damage from fairy and dragon much nice.

17:42 I get people saying something about you, when doing these videos, trashing the game. Because you aren’t being forced to play it, no one is twisting your arm, you’re not going to get murdered in your sleep if you don’t play it. You don’t/ didn’t HAVE to play it… If you don’t like a game THEN DON’T PLAY IT but don’t do videos and bellyache about how much you hate it- we don’t need to hear it! Don’t like it? Fine, switch to something y’all do. Like Halo.. I either play a game or don’t, if I don’t like it… I don’t continue to play something I hate and force others to listen to me bellyache about it 🙄

All the leftover placeholder pokeballs in the rooms and caves is the perfect symbol for this game. Half-baked, rushed, and little attention to detail.

Not for me. I had a decent time playing it, but all the issues really weighed it down for me. I think I had more fun with Sword and Shield as it being a fully 3d Pokémon game was more new. This was barely much of an upgrade over that so it wasn’t as impressive or exciting.

Are they placeholders or poorly hidden event triggers? In stuff like WoW you can find tiny bunnies like that that are used to activate events like NPCs spawning.

@@stingerbrg Same difference. Whethere they ar eplaceholders that weren't removed or triggers that weren't hidden, they just go to show how rushed and unpolished the game is.
