The cost for an entire minor league farm system for one team to pay a living wage and invest an additional 10k unto training and nutrition comes to 5.8 million, or one year of Max Stassi. These guys get peanuts for what is essentially a full time job at the lowest levels. Even if all that investment does is produce someone who gets you 10 war over a 10 year career, and that's the only difference that is made, that's still an investment that gets a return of 30 million dollars. These guys should be paid more, not only because it benefits them but because it would hugely benefit their Major league teams.

Mlb owners don't own these teams. The minor league team owners aren't billionaires raking in millions of dollars. Last time we went to see AA astros team we paid $12 for front row seats behind first base. These teams aren't raking it in.

Minimum salary for ALL MINOR LEAGUE PLAYERS should be $100K, benefits ON TOP OF THAT INCLUDING HEALTHCARE AND SICK AND PARENTAL LEAVE. Period. From there it could get bumped to twice that for years of service in the league. If the player is on the roulette wheel, sent up and down etc, then TRIPLE THAT $100K. FINALLY: nobody should attend another baseball game UNTIL CONTRACTS ARE CAPPED 5YRS MAX, $100M MAX. Just don't watch the Mets and Lindor and the stupid greedy owners who gave that guy that money. 10% of $30-33M / yr could help HOW MANY MINOR LEAGUERS TO LIVABLE WAGES?!!!!!!

Sorry, I'm going against everyone else here. You are playing a game. You are paid by the fans in the seats at the games you personally play in. Not by the owners for some Major League team that you hope to one day play for. This is basically the same false assumptions of the WNBA. Your league has to make money. The WNBA women shouldn't get paid more simply because the NBA makes huge amounts of money. I'd say it's a fair comparison to view yourself as like a college intern. Or as even just like a college student learning and working for that degree that might one day earn you money. But no one owes you a job at huge amounts of money unless you can add something of value. Finally, this varies from club to club. "Minor leaguers are not paid during spring training. They receive only whatever housing, food and allowances, stipends and/or per diems their teams issue from the time they report to camp through the start of the minor league regular season, when they begin to draw their salaries." So they may not be paid during spring training but it sounds like they are housed and fed, even if it is more like camp or college dorms.

Unless you can show that your irrelevant minor league team makes a lot more in ticket sales than it pays out to its players and coaches, you deserve your pathetic salary. There is no TV cash money flowing in at your level, so most of your revenue is just tickets. If you're actually good, you'll make the big leagues and get rich later.

This ain't it chief. Y'all aren't full time employees making a product. Y'all are essentially partaking in a hobby. The only way to get paid is if the owners of the team and or league net enough to distribute to the players. This is the minor leagues. I recognize it's not ideal to try and do this and feed yourself but demanding more pay that likely isn't even available to keep the league and stadiums afloat is the name of the game.
