Calendars haven't really ever clicked for me. It makes me feel too constrained. Any tips on how to overcome that? Or what's the process of time slotting everything?

usually for me it looks like quick capturing tasks in todoist and then removing the tasks when i make a time block on my calendar so in essence i schedule my tasks on the calendar to remove them from the list. this makes it so that the tasks have a time component and are not just on a task list "pile" and so when i look at my calendar its like a partner saying "hey, for the next half hour you should be doing XYZ Task" and its an effective way for me to actually get things done instead of staring at a pile of tasks in a list and having an executive dysfunction meltdown.

How do you timeblock your tasks? Do you manually move over your tasks from Todoist to your calendar or is there some automation at play? If you do it manually do you time block on a daily basis, weekly basis or do you have just a lot of repeating evens so it's more like a schedule rather than unique tasks? Love the content btw!

at this point is all manual, but im talking with the CEO of morgen about this integration this week and hope the time blocking workflow can be more streamlined :)

Thank you for this video. Really appreciate it Been looking for a calendar app with the colour options that pop vs faded look. I know it sounds odd but that stuff is helpful for me Love all the keyboard navigations as well. Will test out Just sharing my gratitude ✌

I feel the same with Notion, because I get too distracted with all the bells and whistles as someone who also has ADHD. I wonder if this application comes out of Scandinavia, given the name of it.

i asked the same thing! German or Norwegian all use Morgen, apparently they started in Italy? lol

it seems to originate from switzerland (they have at least 3 different regions/languages: German, French and Italien - Morgen means tomorrow in German)

Interesting, will definitely keep it on the radar. I'm quite happy with time blocking in Apple calendar atm as it just sits there in the dock and hasn't got too many distracting features. Really enjoying the channel btw great content!

I use Morgen in Windows 10. The UI experience is a little bit slow. Also. Morgen doesn't have Zapier Integration for Tasks (like Todoist). However, Morgen has a great future!

yeah! young so of course lacking in many desired features but the way they've set up what they have already is leaving me very optimistic where their development is headed :)

Obsidian second brain vs PPV knowledge management system(Notion)… And i decided to Use both notion for task project management and obsidian for second brain(vault). Now i have no idea about obsidian.Also about zettelkasten method (second brain) I like the idea in vault system. where your take idea notes by reading watching listing and put into some areas like (deception, business, friend) overtime it’s become huge knowledge vault. Now in obsidian can i do similar to this or even better method exist? if yes what is that how to learn that.Also how to learn obsidian any video recommendation similar to this or that method. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.:heart❤️

young app, this is a pain point for me as well because I'm on my phone a lot and Ical sucks on the phone, so crossed fingers for that development!

@@BryanJenks Certainly. I finished the video just now, and I am grateful you went through it. This is coming at a time where I’m overwhelmed with scheduling, and I still haven’t found a solution to really sync things between iCal, Outlook, and _something_ (gods save me) on Linux that doesn’t make me a very sad panda. This seems worth swallowing the price tag, for a little while at least. Another step toward being platform agnostic for me.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to add new calendars and remove existing ones or add events to a specific calendar? I can add numbered shortcuts, but that's not very useful if I can't modify the calendars in any way.

i had no issues in that regard, to add, go to the menu in the top right of the app the circle icon > profile/preferences > accounts add to specific calendar is as simpel as make an event and the save button should have a dropdown portion to allow you to select a particular calendar

@@BryanJenks Great. Do you know if the Morgen Unified Calendars solve the recurring Microsoft Outlook Calendar 1-2 days Delayed Sync? AFAIK, no matter how well a Calendar Hub embeds different calendar if the source provides the data with a big delay. This is very annoying and that is why I'm still not using a unified calendar.
