Not into motorcycles but any kind of job like this may work for something else I may have to do someday. I'll be watching.

If they look like Chrome but have a yellowish color, they are probably Nickel plated.

They're Chrome over Brass. Too much Zinc and possibly Lead to safely weld. I've got a couple of ideas, watch this space.
