10 ай бұрынWe continue on with the cutscenes for Mortal Kombat 1. Sub-Zero switches over to the dark side and joins Shang Tsung and Quan Chi much to the dismay and disappointment of Scorpion and Smoke. Li-Mei redeems herself in the eyes of Sindel, Mileena and Kitana.

Those talking about the missing Havik scene, I am thinking that I will end up going through the story again in our live streams. Don’t know why it was cut out. But I also want to go through the ending as Liu Kang if that’s an option.

Some of the MK movie videos cut out certain scenes (Kenshi losing his eyes/Havik) to avoid demonetization, only some of them keep all the graphic stuff

Kelly Hu is absolutely perfect as Li Mei. She previously played D’Vorah in the last 2 games, but she is shining far brighter as Li Mei. And the character herself is now one of my favorites, she has such a strong moral compass and no matter what others think of her she has undying loyalty to Sindel and the royal family.

Kelly Hu is proof that a good actress can be a good voice actress. The problem with Megan Fox being Nitara is that she's not a very good actress to start with. While actress like Kelly Hu in Mortal Kombat, and Yvonne Strahovski, Tricia Helfer, & Seth Green in Mass Effect are good actors and therefore kill it in their voice acting work.

So in case you guys didn’t know, the scorpion in this game isn’t Hanzo Hasashi like in mk11. Kuai Liang who was sub zero in mk11 is the scorpion in this mk1 while Bi Han is sub zero again. Idk if there’s any info on Hanzo Hasashi in this timeline

My only problem is that Liu Kang should be more imposing in combat and when he enters the scene lol. No mortal in the outside world would fight the god of thunder, so why aren't they afraid of this upgraded version of him? I wonder. no one in the outside world should dare to challenge him raidne alone was sso powerfull that he solo half of shinok armie

@blacky8987 Raiden also made it known to everyone he was a God and therefore built up this legend to be feared as a God. It seems Liu Kang has been more humble. Half the people don't even know who he is or what he's capable of.

In regard to Jaby's thought that Li Mei seems like a role for Michelle Yeoh, she's played by Kelly Hu, another very prevalent character actor. You may know her as Lady Deathstrike from X Men 2, or a million other roles including D'Vorah from MKX and 11! Talk about range haha

It makes sense that Liu Kang altered their circumstance but left who they were intact. He didn't tamper with their souls or essential being. Bi-Han remains power-hungry and egomaniacal. Shang Tsung will always be a deadly charismatic shyster, and Shao will always disguise his lust for power behind service to his world. I love that we got to see more of Zyloth, Tomas, and Baraka.

The Scorpion in this game is the sub zero from MK11, that’s why they have the same scar on their face, also the sub zero in this game is Noob Saibot from MK11 that might be why he turned back to his old way in terms of going against Earthrealm.

I don't know if they tried to get Michelle Yeoh for Li Mei, but the lead writer said Li Mei *was* inspired by Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon x) Also, for some reason, this version skipped what happened between Scorpion and Havik, which is why Havik suddenly appeared when Scorpion was fighting Rain the second before.

The sub zero we have in mk11 is kuai liang not bi han (his brother, former sub zero) here in this timeline he is scorpion His scar is iconic no matter what he is he always gets the scar in every game

If you remember from the previous games there were two sub zeros. The younger one is now Scorpion in this game while the older one remains the same. The older brother is the one who becomes noob saibot in the old games while the younger brother becomes the grandmaster subzero in mk X and 11.

LOVE LOVE LOVE your after watch breakdowns as new viewers. Having been playing since 1992 and the first thing I loved was that there was a story and it was all connected and then connected from game to game to game is what got me hooked on Mortal Kombat. I love these kharacters SO much and this story mode just shows again that Netherrealm is very much paying attention to DETAILS and getting the roster elevated to more than just fighters. I could listen to you guys discuss MK for an hour! So glad you're having fun!

King Jarrod is actually one of the souls locked away inside of/comprising Ermac. The thousands of souls making up Ermac are basically in constant war with each other over who gets to actually control the body, and King Jarrod is usually the one that wins out.

Kuai Liang always has the scar In all the MKs the second Sub Zero (one with the scar) was Kuai Liang. Liu just made it in this timeline that Kuai Liang is Scorpion not the second Sub Zero. Kuai Liang and Bi Han are still brothers that have a disagreement over the future of the Lin Kuei though. That much didn't change

37:15 Yeah, Liu Kang is a God. Rain is a demigod. There's Elder Gods, the One Being and now Titans. I understand the confusion. The developers decided to change the terms in MK11 when introducing both Cetrion The Elder God and Kronika. So, they decided to call ordinary Gods like Raiden and Liu Kang demigods and Elder Gods just Gods and Titans. The One Being was introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deception. However, you two kind of saw it in MKX with Shinnok's ending. Hope this makes sense

i'm not sure if you guys noticed or not because you haven't mentioned it yet and you seemed to say "oh he's got he scar now?" when Scorpion (Kwai Liang) got cut across the eye by Sub-Zero (Bi-Han), but in this timeline, the original Scorpion (Hanzo) isn't around yet and Kwai Liang was always the younger brother of Bi-Han in both timelines but in this one Kwai Liang is Scorpion instead of Tundra (and later Sub-Zero when Bi-Han dies and turns into Noob Saibot) and Tundra/Sub-Zero/Kwai-Liang was the one who had the scar over his eye, so even though in this new time-line he may be Scorpion but he's still the person who is supposed to get the scar. edit: i paused and posted this around 18 minutes in and a minute later you say that you figured out everything i just said! lol

your forgetting Bi-han told Smoke to watch over the soul containers so that they don't be activated plus the others are far into the temple not like he can hear what's going on or knows what has happened.

This Scorpion is the subzero in the last timeline and the subzero in this timeline is the 1st subzero that was killed by Scorpion (Hanzo)

It's kind of strange the video cut the havik cutscene against scorpion in between the rain and sub zero fight. It has another test your might segment and shows how havik got his funky face

For some reason this got cut out. Scorpion defeated Rain and then Havik came with Darrius and attacked Scorpion. They got him and tried to bury his face in the lava-like, melting gold. There comes a Test-Your-Might sequence where you fight yourself free. Then Scorpion knocks out Darrius and buries Havik's face into the lava. This results into Havik losing his face and looking more like his zombie self in the previous timeline. PS.: Basically you missed nothing important since Havik is just a side character in this and you probably didn't know him anyway.

MK 1 Story 🔥🔥🔥..Kuai Liang thats been Sub Zero since MK 2 - Mk 11 is now Scorpion, Bi Han who was Sub zero in the first 1992 mk game & became Noob Saibot in MK2- MK 11 is the now Sub Zero. I have to finish tower as Smoke to see whats up with Hanzo in this new era who was Scorpion in 1992 Mk1- MK 11

The original Scorpion is Hanzo Hasashi of the Shirai Ryu clan- sorry, klan. This scorpion is Kuai Liang the brother of Bi Haan the original sub-zero. In MK 9 Bi Haan is killed by Hanzo as Scorpion because Scorpion believes that Bi Haan killed his klan and family. This is proved to be untrue in a later game. Kuai Liang learning about the murder of his brother takes on the mantle of Sub Zero himself to find out what happened to him and ends up confronting Scorpion. Meanwhile Bi Haan is turned into Noob Saibot via some Netherealm mysticism that I forget. This game turns a lot of that on its head and doesn't even address it, but I'm hoping for some resolutions in the upcoming Sequels.

Bi-Han is the first and original Sub-Zero, Kuai Lang is the 2nd Sub-Zero and the one we know of the most, hes the one whos been Sub-Zero the past 4/5 games. Bi-Han become Noob-Saibot. Hanzo Hasashi is the Scorpion we know.
