I remember my brothers and I taking turns trying to beat bosses throughout the MK series. By far the most frustrating was MK9 Shao Khan.

Still my least-favorite boss I've dealt with in the series. It's a great fight, technically, but the AI seems to cheat, and there are attacks where I don't even understand them hitting me. One of the worst challenges in the game was having to fight three Shao Kahns as Stryker.

it's funny how things have come full circle. it all started with Shang Tsung and the most recent trilogy ended with him. one consolation to the last part is that DLC made MK11 an almost full on reunion of the OG movie cast only missing the Kitana and Liu Kang actors.

Robin Shou hasn't acted since 2015, and Talisa Soto retired in 2009. Granted, Bridgette Wilson retired even earlier, but she may have been an easier get than the other two.

Against Motaro do a jump kick instead of a air kick and after the jump kick go straight into your combo. A lot of times too when you do a jump kick, Moraro will teleport right into the jump kick then do the combo.

while Special forces and Mythologies Sub-Zero were commercial failures they did achieve in something. the first introduced fighting in a 3D space which was a gameplay theme for Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon outside of the multiple fighting styles for each character. while the second introduced full on voice acting. basically they were ahead of their time and only set the building blocks for those features later on.

Or just keep shooting projectiles at him. Shao Kahn in MK2 can't jump unlike his MK3 version so if your character had a projectile that could repeatedly thrown to him at a fast pace, you could literally spam it and beat him that way. Either that or just keep jumping to him and doing uppercut.

@@djpegao it will. Take your time and watch samurai Jack and mortal Kombat (especially deception, Armageddon, mk 11 and mk1) and analyse them side by side. They both deal with time travel and timelines, deceptive tyrannical titans like aku and Shang sung who corrupt the order of nature and create various kinds of abominations, the love and romance life of samurai Jack and Lui Kang and how true love always seem to elude them and how their arch Titan enemies always frustrate their goal for golden balance and always show up when it seems they have been defeated, the monks and order of the white lotus society, samurai Jack and taven being Demi gods on a conquest, the lava monster and blaze, the special swords of Jack, the scottman, ashra and kenshi (Jack and kenshi can fight without their sight), the daughters of aku and the sisterhood of shadow where asrah and sareena belong and the lists are endless

if the ending of MK11 you chose ends up being the canon ending then MK12 when it is eventually is made will have the great Kung Lao as a playable character at long last and until now he's only been talked about as a legendary warrior that kept Earthrealm safe until Goro was sent and killed him.

@@y.a.p8951 MK 9 is a good game,I said about MK11 and new MK,I think is called MK1,those 2 games have bad gameplay,mechanics,ugly artwork and graphics,not to mention is very slow,is a Injustice with MK characters and blood.If you want to talk about old MK games,my favorite is MK Trilogy and MK4 as gameplay, but for nostalgia I like MK1 from 1992 because is my first fighting game I ever played and second was Street Fighter 2....but lets not compare those game with new ones,last 2 games are garbage, this is my opinion.

It's hard to don't agreed with you about the gameplay and mechanics. we can speculates about the graphics but I do like some of the takes and designs. overall I do not like the gameplay in mk. there's something latest games put me off. I didn't play mk11 I cannot say too much about the speed of the game. mk1 isn't out yet , so it's hard to say anything. It having my favourite fighters list in it ,I may give it a go this time. The cameo system is interesting but would like their involvement in the fight to be reduce to minimum. I don't like the fatal blows at all, it look ridiculous and overdone for me ,they should change it for something different to damage opponent in a way where he needs to change the tactic due to the limits caused to their limp by fatal blow. For this matter , I never knew I'll ever say that but prefer the 3d era. When it comes to old days fighters , snk is my thing kof94,95 and SamuraiS 2 and 3. These titles just had great balance between specials to close combat ratio and the last boss was no joke.

@@y.a.p8951 😀 I just buyed the KOF XV,I like the game because they still have that good gameplay and old charaters from Fatal Fury,I played that game on arcade,I have the Samaurai Shodown Collection and the remake of Samurai Shodown 2019,my favorite is SS2 to,one thing I dont like about remake,Genan is not in the main roster,I was hoping it would be introduced along the way in the dlcs, but it wasn't.About 3D era of MK,I like Deadly Alliance and Armageddon,the PS2 version,Deception and Shaolin monks I didn't play to much,I try to play after,but on modern TV the resolution is very bad on PS2. The new MK is the same as MK11 same engine and graphics and this time I will not buy this one,only nice thing in MK11 was the Krypt,is have that medieval aspect,the Pit,Goro table from movie,the map from MK1 with statues,etc. About the cameo, there is nothing new, for an old player you find this system in X men VS Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom from 1996,so...nothing new,not to mention the woke culture from new games,look at Tanya is black,ugly with horse face and spider legs hair 😀but that's it, we are old school and have a different mentality and principles.Have a nice day!

She was quite difficult for me when I first fought her, but like Shao Kahn in the 2011 game, I was able to understand her attacks better after a few failures. I still think Shao Kahn is very difficult at times, however.

Liu Kang says "you must be prepared, trained." The Great Kung Lao asks "Trained? for what?" Liu Kang answers "For a great tournament." The Great Kung Lao "what tournament?" Liu Kang says "Mortal Kombat." and as soon as that's said que the theme song from the OG live action movie as the screen goes to the end credits. that's how I picture a director's cut of that ending scene would play out.

Really love Shaolin Monks, especially the silliness they have from time to time with dialogue or Fatalities... If it wasn't because a throwable limb deals about 3 times more damage than a character projectile 😂
