If you want to squeeze another video out of it, do the inverse: Class recommendations by Mythic Path. As in: If you want to play a Gold Dragon, which classes are a good choice. Seems like it's the same, but many MPs were underrepresented and sometimes you want to develop your playthrough starting with your macro-decisions.

I remember having made the specific complaint that your otherwise excellent guides were made too soon, too specific to the early or even pre-release versions of the game. These updates are a fantastic addition! Thanks

Can I say, Sorcerer can be really fun with Azata, going Favorable magic, Zippy magic is a lot of fun, save or suck spells are fantastic when every enemy rolls with disadvantage, add on some buffs for the rest of the party as gravy. This was my build for my first run and I loved it. The extra azata spells with Enduring spells makes you a source of many types of buffs.

While I played a kineticist as an azata, now thinking carefully about it, I'd take trickster to gold dragon. As a trickster you can increase the crit range of your blasts, and you can retain these feats if you change mythic paths later. As a gold dragon you can increase both your constitution and your BAB, you get a lot of resistances, while not being able to use weapons in dragon shape doesn't impact you as a kineticist.

I have never played Pathfinder, TTRPG or otherwise. Yet I used to play D&D in highschool.... about 25 years ago. At any rate, I stumbled across this game and tried to play it. And as you mention in a seperate video, I bounced right off during character creation. It was too much and I did not know half of what I was reading. I understand the basic principals of the game, AC, modifiers, etc, but beyond that I was lost. Your videos have been extremely helpful in learning, thank you! I wanted to play a lich and so I have watched about 5 hours of content on various videos of yours, and I feel like I am ready to begin now. I am going to go back to the game later today and roll up my new Lich. I have not fully settled on a starting class yet, but it will 100% be ones you recommended; witch, wizard, or maybe eldritch font arcanist. Anyway, great videos! Thank you so much for the details!

I was hoping for a recommended companions for begginers

I played a dhampir undead sorcerer. Going from five constitution to using my charisma for my constitution felt like I actually became immortal when I became a lich.

I rolled a Halfling Paladin of Iomadae on my first run. I ended up choosing Azata and it went pretty well, RP-wise. Because of the alignment choices made up until Drezen, I ended up moving into Neutral Good and was unable to progress as a paladin anymore. Then when I went Azata at the end of act 2 I took Demon Hunter ranger. I justified it as my character losing favor with his godess with how he behaved as a leader and then meeting Arueshalae he learns to be a Ranger from her.

Thank you for doing that, it saves my a giant headache in the future.

I’ve been mulling over doing an aeon build based around mixing inquisitor with a splash into rogue or monk (sufficient to pick up evasion). Normally I go for RP builds after bouncing off of my first play through and realizing it was A.) largely because I had a mechanical idea, not a real character, which was killing my enjoyment of the run, and B.) you get more than enough power that you don’t *have* to play strictly optimized if you aren’t planning on playing on elevated difficulty. With that said, the prospect of having a character who auto-20s any save against most enemies late game and has both evasion and stalwart seems fun, and inquisitor aeon isn’t a hard RP concept to work around, just basically play something like the operative from Serenity, and you’re there.

Azata pairs well with caster. while you don't get merged spell book the two super power flavorful magic and zippy magic help in spell casting. I did enchanter sorc and generally was able to stop enemy form doing anything.

My newest run is a 10Eldritch Archer/10 Eldritch Knight Azata playthrough. having ranged spell combat w/ zippy magic has been really fun, having cleaving hellfire rays stacked on top of all my arrow shots feels so smooth

I've legit been holding off on my first playthrough for this info.

Did a run where I tried playing a Druid that would turn into a Devil in the endgame. I assumed that I could keep my alignment true neutral the whole time to avoid conflicts, And while the Azata was forgiving enough... The second I signed that contract, my alignment instantly became Lawful Evil. And I was locked out of all my Druid spells because I was no longer a step within Neutrality. Also, I could not save Hilor during the retaking of Drezen, so there was no one to help respec my guy with an appropriate alignment. So I had effectively locked myself out of my class skills, lost Aivu, and all I had to show for it was my one rank in Devil which doesn't get any of it's useful powers until rank 2. It was painful.

I would say Magus gold dragon is quite good and fun. I could use Dimension Strike enhanced claws to through even high armored enemies with ease. Yes, Spellstrike works in dragon form too.

Honestly, Trickster Perception II feat "Metamagic: Completely Normal Spell" is phenomenal on most casters. I'm pairing it up with Seelah's Mark of Justice, Arushalae's Instant Enemy+Ranger's Bond for added damage and cast Magic Missile as a canteip which melts most enemies in seconds

I enjoyed the Shifter going Demon, then later Gold Dragon. Felt there was a lot of synergies with that.

Currently playing as a Ghost Rider (Cavalier Archetype) and using the Lich Mythic Path. It is rather fun so far, even if I made the mistake of picking the lich power that turns my 6 Charisma Horse undead.

Currently in the endgame of my first playthrough as a Cavalier (Order of the Paw) + Azata and have a blast. A Halfling riding their dog and annihilating everything with their buffed charge attack is so much fun and just fits the whole theme of Azata... And of course I date Arueshalae, which is twice my size 😉 If I play the game for the second time, I probably will try out Alchemist/Trickster, like you recommended.

I do love how any class that uses charisma as a main stat is good for the lich path. My sorcerer went from being very squishy to a spell casting HP sponge just by becoming a full lich

i really enjoyed playing a primalist bloodrager as an azata, the chaotic freedom theme really meshed with bloodrager i feel

Me, an Arcanist worshipping Pharasma. Mortismal: Full arcane caster? Lich. Me: *cries

Some combinations I like: Bloodrager + Azata ( especially Reformed Fiend) is a great fit and kinda like Arueshalae from a Role Play Point. Azatas also fit with Ray Casters or Single Target Casters because of Zippy Magic and Favorable Magic Also if you want to go full on Teamwork the Life-Bonding Friendship SuperPower makes life better and is also very fitting Role Play wise. Any Build that focuses on Vital Strike is Great with Demon because of its Teleport Ability plus you get a lot of Strength as a Demon Charge Builds also work great with Demon because of Aspect of Schir Kineticist + Demon also works well because of huge Buffs to Constitution and some Aspects Sorcerer works well with Trickster because of Completely Normal Spell and a High Charisma + Greater Mythic Trick Persuation leads to Easy Mode

Man i will miss your wotr content, but right now it is a bliss with your quality and quantity content. And nice! My first Run is a Eldritch Scion Magus and i instinctly chose aeon as my Mythic Path. I roleplay a half-orc who has demonic blood and wants to fight it with true justice. I add another bloodline arcane via mythic ability, to symbolize this a bit more and it seems to be a very good bloodline for Magus'. My main problem is, that he can't hit. I have with haste and claws about 5 attacks per full attack and my dmg output can be high, the moment i finally hit, that is.. I need like at least 3-5 buffs to hit something. I go with strenght and charisma. For now i am at sieging Drezen. Maybe with leveling and choosing more feats to somehow improve my battleaxe attack rolls even further. I am at level 7 Magus and level 1 scaled fist monk for the improved AC I think to respec it again and see what else holds my attack rolls back. Maybe change the subrace to half-orc human for the extra feats instead of the 1hp revive, which seems to me more buggy than helpful. I didn't expect to dump my run into the comments😅 May you wander in wisdom and have an amazing day

Playing a melee orientred abyssal cursed oracle angel is one of my favourite narrative builds given the setting. Theres a fauchard available from the start of act 3 onwards called Mighty Blow of Good that goes really well with that build as well

thanks for the content. i love pathfinder: wotr and enjoy trying different combos i had been thinking monk5/sorc15/lich combo lately but legend is great take a class to 20 and maybe a couple prestige classes [works with aldori defender and the two dueling prestige classes]

Surprised the ultimate mvp of most min max parties, the Skald Trickster, didn't get mentioned. Also fits thematically, norse roots + trickster = basically Loki 😁

You should seriously consider making an ultimate walkthrough for this game, with your most fun and effective build, planning ahead and skipping dialogue and stuff if you wish so, focusing mainly on the strats from character creation til the final act in 1 hour+/- episodes. How sick this would be?

What classes they might be best for. I didn't knew that a certain 'very powerful entity' can lend you her sword until I saw your WOTR Supercut.. That's freaking awesome! I did Witch Azata and its really fun

Melee Oracles ftw! My run through was opposite actually, Demon... Orc Dual Cursed Wolfbite/Demon - ripping people to shreds with my bare claws, sending Balors running for the hills!

Couple of characters I did: Witch - Ley Line Guardian - Winter Patron - Switch to Winter Witch and go with Lich Mythic This one if getting near maximum spellbooks in both Arcane and Divine (you won't get level 10 spells) Cross Blood Sorcerer (Arcane and either Dragon or Devil/Demon if going with a Tiefling) - 9, Enlightened Philosopher - 1, Mystic Theurge 10 with Angel Mythic path. You'll end up with level 9 Arcane and level 9 Divine spells.

This is exactly the video I was hoping you would make. If I could make a suggestion for one more WotR video though, it would be how to chronologically do the game and DLCs. I know you’ve mentioned here and there how the different DLCs can have minor or major impacts on the main game, but how would you suggest doing them as well as the main game from a fresh play through?

Kineticist + Demon is a very powerful combo thanks to the aspect of kalavakus

My favourite character for Wrath was a Magus, went into Hellknight Signifer. Had Aeon Mythic and went into Devil. Praise Asmodeus!!

I wish they had kept Archmage from the adventure path rather then changing it to lich. Or rather I wish that lich was an optional offshoot of Archmage. I have no desire to complete an evil playthrough, so that means I'll probably never complete a playthrough as an arcane caster, which kind of sucks since those are some of my favorite archetypes.

Demon Witch can be very strong, especially as a curse-slinging Hagbound. Lots fun to be had with that mix.

Angel Cavalier works really well. That was what I did first run and I managed to crit for like 600 damage with Charge and buff stacking.

About the only down(ish) side I've seen for WotR is the lack of clearly arcane boosting paths besides Litch. Azata and Trickster seem to be the only real options that aren't alignment restricted. Maybe I just haven't dug into mechanic interactions but that's been one of the sticking points for my tries at the game.

My latest playthrough is a magus - eldritch archer. The idea is to go azata into devil, which would give zippy magic from azata and on demand hellfire ray from devil. Did not reach this point yet though, so I cannot say how effective it really is.

This is good and all, but what I'd REALLY like to see is information for this the other way around. That is, What is the strongest CLASS for each of the Mythic Paths? For example, if I know in advance that I want to play as a Lich, which type of caster will BEST be able to take advantage of the abilities that path grants?

I hope you're right about mythic path beeing universal in some way for most of the classes, because my magus/mutagen warrior named Geralt just been to Elisium for a couple minutes and liked it very much. I hope he'll get something out of it.

I think gold dragon works better with spellcasters. My druid character went angel to gold dragon with merged spellbook and focusing on claws was incredibly fun

Lich is amazing with sorcerer. I was so surprised that after the transformation it used charisma as the modifier for HP turning my character having the least hp into the one with the most

No prestige class suggestions? Bummer, i really enjoyed synergy between Lich and Mistic Theurge (Sorc+Oracle) You get access to 10th circle of arcane spells AND 8th circle of divine spells, all parts of that combo scale with CHA, making it an excellent face of the party and my favorite part, you get pretty much infinite spell slots for your unresistable, guaranteed dmg lich spells (since you can spread them out between arcane and divine books thanks to mistic theurge class. Add metamagic to spread them between different circles and you never run out of offensive spells, even if you spam them on every rat you see)

Barbarian azata was a ton of fun.

Hi, since there are so few resources on this game and i am just starting out i was wondering if you could make an "advanced tips for core/hard difficulty"-video? I definitly wanna go hard for second playthrough but i don't wanna look up any broken builds or cheese so i would appreciate some information on the essentials to keep in mind like general party composition, essential buffs/debuffs, essential feats and mythic feats. I am sure to figure out alot more at the end of first playthrough but there is just so much stuff in this game that might be very important but missed. Good vid!

12:20 I did something a bit different, since I already had an animal companion in ny first character, a sylvan Sorcerer, for my second character I chose a domain (fire domain) instead of the animal companion. Also I picked the standard druid class, didn't feel like any of the subclasses offered enough for what they sacrificed

I’ve only played an azata blood kineticist. But I have started a new playthrough as a weretouched shifter, I want to go angel, I think that could be fun.

Probably gonna do monk + demon or monk + gold dragon. Already doing a Demonslayer + Paladin archer (I forget the subclass) + Angel.

I hate to be that guy after you've clearly said you're wrapping up wotr content, but a good feat guide would really ease the barrier for entry. If I know what general role I want a companion to fill, knowing which feats fit which roles and which prerequisites to look out for would be pretty sick. Really i'd like to know when I'm safe to start going for what sounds cool.

My only complaint about Pathfinder wrath of the righteous was that there wasn't more role play options there wasn't any addition to it that gave in my opinion more story added like everything can be just glazed over it and just stuck to the main story and you would lose nothing but some gear and that's what I hate it it's like all of it felt like it was just little plug-ins usually a lot of the DLCs for dungeons & dragons like games or Pathfinder like games you have whole other story lines added where you can just go off on these different alternate story lines instead of just the mean one the word takes place with a whole different story altogether instead of the crusade I was looking for one of those in this I wanted one of those in this give it a little bit of flavor a little bit more to go on than just redoing the main story to find a specific part in like chapter 5 where the new DLC comes in

Gendarme + Azata is very strong. Late game this build can kill demon lords in one hit. Fable hero lance + ring of triumphant advance + believe in yourself (STR) + Incredible might can do more than 5k damage per attack. Just add pounce from a skald and there is no enemy that is going to survive a charge if you can hit them.

Can you do something like this for Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader and what archetypes fit with which allignment (Iconoclast, Dogmatic, Heretic)

Should add that Trickster pairs extremely well with all melee classes

I went Angel Cavalier because... Well... An Angel on horseback is about the coolest thing possible

I've been wondering, but if you wanted to see the most content/achievements in the fewest number of full game runs, what combinations of alignment/path/class/major choices would be good?

Don't feel that you need to minmax for anything less than unfair. Remember that only about 8% of players beat the water elemental in the shield maze on core or higher difficulty. Most people play on normal, and that's fine. If you have a weird build idea or just think a Student of War sounds awesome, then go for it, and you'll finish the game just fine. That Ford Fiesta will drive you to Walmart just as well as the Ferrari will, and you're unlikely to find a situation the Fiesta can't handle.
