A special thanks to the great folks at Morzh for sending us this sauna tent and stove to test out!
The tent is very well made, durable, relatively light weight and easy to set up.
If you’ve been thinking about wanting a sauna definitely consider Morzh as a more portable option. From your back yard to Algonquin park, the options are endless.
These could also double as a regular hot tent!
For more information check out the Morzh website.

So what do ya think? Shall we go for a sauna?!

Love this! Wanting to get this asap. Did you order directly from Morzh? What was the final cost with shipping to canada? Looking close to $1000. Is that about right?

Do you get sparks on your roof? We have a hot tent and the hot sparks melt the tent.

If I left this outside, set up, during a Canadian winter, how durable do you think the tent will be? How many years do you guess itll last? Id put it up probably late fall and take it down just before spring. I wanna do at least 3-4 session/week so dont wanna set it up each time. Im in Edmonton for reference. We have longer and colder winters out here.

The material might not do well with the weather over time? Also wouldn’t hold a crazy heavy snow load too well but is still fairly sturdy!

We have had ours out for at least 3 Saskatchewan winters, and while the pattern is a little faded, the tent is still in amazing shape.

Hardwood usually! Maple or oak but soft woods that burn hot like cedar would work too

@Juuso Nevalainen Good Call! We've definitely been able to get it that hot! Contrary to most thoughts - the tent actually holds the heat no different than a building and heats up almost immediately :)

It’s actually a different double lined material that an ice hut. Holds the heat and insulates much better than an ice hit to avoid condensation on the inside

Welp, they sent it for us to try out and we couldn’t afford a stationary wooden one. Works pretty Damn good if ya ask me. Plus we can set it up by the lake and polar plunge when we get too hot 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@WildCanoes Water should never be poured on the stove itself. The steam should come from the stones. Also for safety reasons "Dark igneous rocks such as vulcanite, gabbro, peridotite, basalt, and granite are excellent choices. Mixed type such as the gabbro-diabase is also very common and found in nature. Vulcanite is good for its high metal content, which helps it store heat very efficiently." This might sound little stupid. A rock is a rock, right? Wrong. Regular stones may crack with force. They should add a stone rack to their product that takes this problem away, as you cannot place enough stones on top of the stove without it. Nothing beats a wooden sauna, not even Savotta Tent Sauna.

We always pour water over the stones - never the stove itself? There’s a tray that catches excess water that comes off of the rocks. Just doin our thing, you keep doing yours 🤙🏻✌🏻

@@WildCanoes I think its just a misunderstanding dye to the design of the sauna stove. For one, he is right that there's too few stone on that stove. The purpose of the stone is to prevent water from hitting fire directly but in a sauna stove, aside than aesthetic and tradition, its to prevent cold water from hitting hot metal. The reason being that it can cause the metal plate to fracture due to repeated uneven heating and cooling. Basically, it shorten the lifespan of the stove. As for the type of stone, his/her point is that its dangerous to use random rocks as some rocks can explode. At least that's how I interpreted his/her comment. Personally, I kinda have no idea where the drama is, even after watching the video.

@@13gan the statements about stones are correct. Their mass will act as a heat battery and radiate radiant heat efficiently. Your comment about the Metal cracking due to water is false here. The stove is made from stainless steel and can withstand incredible heat and water quenching will not harm it at all. Splashing water onto brittle cast iron is not s good idea, think of dunking a scolding hot cast iron pan into cold water, but in most cases, a splash will do absolutely nothing.
