In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Watcher. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. Watch till the end to see if this deck wins it all!

I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/casey-c/mapmarks

I like the way you circumvented your lack of traditional card draw by utilizing Pocket Watch and Scry. Kinda hard to wrap my mind around having that level of self control when I’m playing.

Thank you for posting your runs on the Tube. Haven't been able to catch your streams and you're my favorite StS streamer. You're really informative and super helpful. Even though I'm a "Save & Quit" type of person, I play for just myself. When does a joke become a dad joke? When it becomes apparent.

Some time ago I started at A0 and whenever I beat the Heart I would move up an Ascension level, if I died before the first boss I would go down one. Right now I'm on A20 with Watcher, A9 with Ironclad and the other 2 somewhere in between. It's really interesting how obscenely powerful Watcher is compared to the others.

vault progresses buffs and debuffs that normally tick at the end of your turn such as strength and dexterity down from flex and speed potions while not progressing ones that tick at the start of your turn such as weakness and vulnerability

though there are some exceptions to what i mentioned above, like blasphemy still kills you despite triggering at the start of your turn

More specifically -- Intangible and a few other buffs and debuffs tick down at the end of the enemy's turn, meaning they don't tick down when you use Vault. I don't think this is intended behaviour, as much as just what happened to be because of how Spire is written.

@@CTuBXyuc it's been like 10 days since i watched this run so i can't remember for sure but probably because it didn't add much value to the deck and he didn't want to waste 1 draw on his first turn as innate cards count as a card draw on turn 1

There's no reason to remove lesson learned over a strike other than meme value. Lesson learned does more damage and exhausts if you don't need it. It's objectively better to keep around over a strike.
