I remember the 3rd or 4th time i tried this achieve, somehow i started popping out babies left and right, first one had quick, neat, next one had beautiful and intelligent, even better, then it just went all haywire, Herculean/Amazonian, one with Genius, one with all three starters, i was so confused. In the end succession was crazy, family had very nice genetics everywhere. then when i was about 2/3 of the way to completing it, assassination after assassination on me, i was then a 3 year old toddler Emperor googooing my way around the palace when one of my cousins declared war, along with 90% of my realm. I went down swinging my rattler like a real man.

When I pre-ordered and loaded the game, I found this start the most interesting from the pre-made ones and it was my first after the Ireland tutorial. I even played in Ironman. Got like half of Africa and reformed the faith. Only few weeks after abandoning the run, I've seen that there was actually an achievement for this lmao. Then I tried it again, was hard but doable, honestly it's one of these starts where the beginning is super easy but the end game gets hard. Managing the realm was insane even outside of inheritance.

If your leader has enough learning as to where the bonus percentage to innovations exceeds 60 % you are better of using it on another innovation, because the exposure bonus you get is 40 %, and if your leaders learning is above 60 % that means you are wasting that bonus because the bonus cannot go over 100 %. The bonus only affects how often you get the porgression, and the the progression itself. Every innovation increases the same amount, the difference is that when your culture is exposed and/or fascinated to it that means that you get the increase a lot more often.

I did this achievement Once. It was during the release of the game. So it wasn't possible because of the bug going on at the time. Half-way done with redoing it.

You don't need to check the innovations one by one to find the exposure bonus, the icon for the right one has a blue glow around it, also if you have high enough learning (and/or the perk that adds 35% progress chance to your fascination) so that your chance of progress would go over 100% (which you did) you should use it on something different than the exposure to avoid wasting the bonus. Also, I'd suggest eventually switching capitals to the duchy of manding, it has two gold mines, which is practically unlimited gold And at the end game if you already have max crown authority primogeniture doesn't matter as much, since you can just designate one of your children as heir, and seniority succession is enough to stop title partition

I had a run where the husband took over the whole of kanem while I was creating Hausaland. I chose to keep the son as the heir, and may have performed some intrigues to make sure he was the husbands only heir too. I took over as him when he was about 20 as a double king and almost emperor

I did this achievement a few months ago, after many trials and tribulations, so my knowledge is out of date (back then, there was some island I was missing that prevented me from getting Africa, for example), but maybe I can provide a couple ideas. For example, my first two attempts, I was assassinated by my husband's mistress (my rival!) - sadly, it never occurred to me to just divorce the guy, I'm sure that really helps the early game. After that, I captured six kingdoms, that splintered on my death... then I captured 3 empires, that splintered on my death. I give it 3 Darth Vader NOs. Of course, it's really important to have the perk for half price wars, if you want to do this, but the real MVP of the campaign was raiding, in particular, IF YOUR LEADER IS LEADING A RAID, THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE FOR A SUPER RAID EVENT. This would give you a choice of lots of gold, lots of piety, and drum roll... lots of development in your capitol. In my winning attempt, I conquered all the way to the Nile Delta, and then carefully tried to not gain enough land for a second Empire title. DO NOT DO THIS as you will be embroiled in endless crusades for Jerryland, which takes up a lot of time, although it does reward you with endless amounts of prestige, piety, and opinion bonuses. Much easier to just make a long snakey empire in southern Africa that gives you access to lots of land to raid. Oh, and when reforming your religion, don't forget you can also change the categories down below, not just the big 3 at the top, there's some hidden gems in there!

I feel like Niani is a better candidate for capital, because it is so easy to stack development there. Plus the gold mines give mad money. In my playthrough, gold has never been an issue ever. I just stacked my capital duchy and farmed until I was able to get partition succession. I recommend directly control all counties inside capital duchy, and add an elective law so all counties go to player heir (since you control all counties in your capital duchy, you are the only one voting. Vote for your player heir). Always go for temporal revocable clergy, because in an emergency, you could make the most rebellious vassal your court chaplain, as they are not allowed to join factions. Cultural exposures I feel is only useful in tribal era, then I feel like partition and siege weapons should have top priority, then it's really optional to follow exposure bonuses or not. Grant counties with specialty buildings only to dynasty members, and make them kings in it's de jure kingdom, and surround their directly controlled counties with powerful dukes also of your dynasty to make sure the specialty building is always controlled by your dynasty member to stack renown. Best education: Diplomacy, for forced vassalisation. Second best: Stewardship, to make money and building tall. Intrigue is useful for removing "misbehaving" vassals and vassals not of your dynasty. Learning is useful for converting and Whole of Body. Counterintuitively, I think Martial is the most useless education (for your player heir, but the best for eligible children so you can make then join holy orders). Also, at least on the player heir, try finding spouses with best traits, it is really OP to play as an infusion of Einstein, Usain Bolt, and a Hollywood superstar, the stats are insane. Using this strategy I was able to complete this achievement almost 200 years earlier than Feedback in-game time.

When I did that achievement I found it very boring once I got the Hausaland kingdom created. There was no one with an army to rival mine and 4 provinces countries needed 3 freaking wars to conquer. This needs to be fixed, I can agree with not conquering the whole thing at once but it's ridiculous... Also i sticked with Hausaland because it's a nice Orange, Kanem-Bornu has a crap color! Overall, this achievement is very fun at the start but it become dull very quickly. I much prefer playing somewhere with more stronger nations to have an harder challenge for a longer period of time.

I remember my run for that achievement. It took so long, but it was a lot of fun. I didn't set out to do it as quickly or efficiently as possible and I made some big mistakes. In the end it felt really rewarding to know I had done it ^-^

i got this achievement a different way. you dont need to own all of africa, just convert all of africa to your reformed faith. so dont worry too much about maintaining control. the more house members that are independant the more allies you can call for holy wars for free. got this achievement done by 1150ad

Nice tips for the start, I reached empress during my first livetime. Also great choises of the tenets, helped a lot. Espeacily "Pursuit of power", this should also be a much have and costs "just" 200 piet. But I figured something out to do this ACM much simpler. every county which you conquer, install a new vassal for each county with your faith and culture, if you can revoke titles from hostile faith. otherwise try to go for holy wars. so they dont have the negative opinon of "wrong culture" and "wrong faith". Also they are converting theire countys to your faith. they also spread your culture, which can be useful but research shouldnt be a problem. make sure every vasal has only one title and is of your culture and faith. if you reach your vasall limit, grant duchys, after that kingdoms. when the decision "unify africa" were avaible I had 99% already converted into my faith, so the hardest path was just the conquering, when I had less than 40k troops.

A nice video, but I do have a few pointers I feel you missed out on explaining. Disinherit your children: Disinherited children can't inherit, if they can't inherit you save time (and headache) after succession. Disinherit them whenever it risks splitting your realm, they take counties you like or you just woke up cranky that morning. As long as you don't marry of your non heir there's nothing they can do about it. Dread: A trap, don't bother, the 50 gold isn't worth a civil war for your heir, you will be drowning in gold income before long anyways. Gold in CK3 isn't a trivial resource, but fighting more wars than you need to costs more gold than extortion generates. (You may disregard this for the early begining, where your vassals are too puny to oppose oyu no matter how you mistreat them) Succesion prep: Raise your crown authority to high (3rd level) your vassals hate this law a lot, which means that after succession they will prefer to make a faction that forces you to lower that law. Vassals which recently " won " a faction are a lot less likely to join other factions (I.E. factions that actually hurt) The time this wins you should be sufficient too avoid civil wars alltogether. (note, you can also use this too intentionally bait civil wars if you actually want to imprison vassals. This is risky and can be expensive, but sometimes full dungeons make for a happy kingdom) Succesion: Fresh monarch, instantly do a pilgrimage for that sweet sweet pilgrim trait, it makes all correct faith vassals like you more. Everyone (or near enough everyone) should be correct faith vassal so this is just flatout free rep. Party hard, hold feasts and attend them for at least the first 5-10 years, they have good events (on average) which easily let you build up opinion with your realm. Every vassal gets a + opinion just for attending too. Capital: Aim down egypt, high dev land, it's good land, you don't want to deal with enemies owning it. and it gives you a lot of cultural fascinations too boost your ascension into feudalism. Otherwise the capital suggested in the video is quite nice. Not a capital but look west for mali, there's a province there with a goldmine. You want it. It's 4 ducats p/m on lvl1 for free.

Regarding bot using dread to control vassals because of your heir getting screwed. That's only a problem if you don't immediately execute 10 heathens to get 100 dread upon ascension to the throne with your heir

I tried to do this and gave up when I became my heir cuz I hosted a feast that where I burned everyone alive for no real reason. Didn't even know it was happening, it just said that the feast would be enlightening, didn't think it was a pun.

I tried the strategy of switching cultures and feudalizing early and the achievements hasn’t poped up for me. I have all my Vassals and counties in Africa converted to bori so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. This could be a bug after the release of the royal court update but can someone confirm so I don’t feel like I just wasted a weeks worth of time for nothing. :(

You can sort of cheese the "all innovations" part if you invite Maghrebi courtiers and use them to convert your heirs. There are a few characters around the area, and it is the culture of your starting husband.

Vassalizing tribals and clan are a pain because you can't offer them a religious exemption then immediately swap said religious exemption for title revocation rights and then force conversion. edit: also I'm amazed you didn't implement a temporal head of faith.

feedback I was trying to do the britannia empire in 1 life, but I am having problems with who to make as a duke and the whole king-petty king-to vassel thing. Im not sure how or who to make a duke to control certain regions while keeping my man power up & gold. Its so unclear to me. Also the pope will not let me justify against scotland while I have 96% his support.
