My most embarrassing moment in a match is when I thought the ref was a teammate as he wore a jersey that looked similar to our team, so I grabbed him and took him with me to clear the ruck and suddenly I just heard him scream "NOOO, please" and blew the whistle while he was laid on the ground were the ruck is. Luckily, he just laughed it off and gave me a nice pat on the back. All the players and crowd found it extremely funny. I had to down a bottle of cheap wine after the game as a fine

Played in a Sevens tournament with a massive hangover, got tackled and shat in my pants, faked an injury just so I could go change

Muddy game. Playing on the wing with no ball in sight. Got in close to the ruck late in the game(our scrumhalf missing) and couldn't believe my eyes as there were no defending pillars next to the ruck. Picked up and dived over the line to score. Got up and celebrated by tossing the ball in the air. Ref blows his whistle and signals a knock. Laughs and says thats the 22m line. Got sucked into being a forward there I forgot our position.

Mine was in my first game for my first club. I knew most of the people through school and I was at fullback. I ran up to someone twice as tall as me to tackle him but I was so focused on getting him down that I completely forgot to acctually tackle him I just ran straight into his arm amd chipped my tooth. The worst part is they couldn't even feel bad for me because I just ran straight at him and I heard the entire pitch laugh

Playing on the wing, I made a clean break on a counter-attack from inside our 22, stepped their last man, and had a clear run to the line from about the halfway.. Started celebrating with 30m to go.. Gas-tank failed me around 20m out.. Got caught 10m out, tried to offload to my support, but he/we knocked it on. But the cringiest part: When my teammates were chastizing me for celebrating early, I chimed up with 'No, I could feel my legs going.. I was calling for support'

Most embarrasing moment for me was playing in 6th form. Got subbed off around the 50th min mark, but my replacement got injured so had to go on again. Went up against my opposite number prop, and wasn't fully up to speed and he was fresh. Get pushed backwards and he gives me some choice words about being shit. I don't like that. So fast forward another 5 mins and we've got an attacking scrum on their 5m line. I give it everything I've got, get him going backwards, which causes the scrum to rotate just enough so our scrum half has an easy finish under the sticks. I whoop and shout to him as I'm emerging out of the bind "Who's my bitch", right to his face. Hand bags ensue, the whole crowd hears what I've said, including my coach and parents. Team mates are stunned by what I've said, as ive always been the quiet one. 😂
