5:22 GURU for techer is not only in sikh religion , it not religious term at all, many asian languages which were influenced by sanskrit have same words for many things even Sri Lankan main language SINHALA , teacher = GURU in sri lankan sinhala language too

0:03 Nuwara Eliya is the city with the lowest temperature in Sri Lanka. The daytime temperature is usually between 19c° and 21c° and the night temperature is between 13c° and 11c°. Sometimes in December and January the night temperature is between 6c° and 4c° .

You can try Kottu and hoppers in srilanka as a famous local fast food..kottu is very famous in here. You can find different type of kottu.like cheese kottu,egg kottu, chicken kottu etc. Hoppers like snack type food. It also have egg hoppers, plain hoppers, honey hoppers etc. My recommendation is kottu. It's delicious. U must try it. Enjoy 👍

But Nuwara-eliya cannot be said as so expensive if compared to Colombo 07. In Colombo 07 per perach reach around 65000 USD. It goes beyond probably even. This because of the facilities. Colombo 7 has most luxurious facilities.

Nuwara Eliya was a holiday retreat for British colonialists due to it's soft climate. So they developed the city and that's how it got British architecture.

Hey bro..I'm from Sri Lanka.. we have sunny and rainy seasons only..From january to April sunny season and these days we live in 34-37°C but whether on our phones says that its feel like 38-39°C(this is average temperature on whole country. some places can be 38°C) From April to july its come little rainy season..and then august to october middle again sunny season but its temperature like 30-35°C and then october middle to january first week its come hard rainy season.. EDIT- I am only talking about the climate of the dry region.. The climate of the wet zone and the central mountains are different. The wet zone has a tropical climate and the central mountains have a cold climate without snow but ice rain. It is similar to New Zealand climate at sometimes Rainy season and sunny season also affect the wet zone and central hills where the temperature in the wet zone varies between 22 - 30°C and in the central hills it varies between 15-22 °C. When I lived in the central highlands, the nights' temperature dropped to 12°C during Christmas season. coastal areas are tropical and humid when you go inside to the country from coast, its slowly changing to a climate of europe . in the middle of Sri lanka , you will find new zealand type grass farmlands with cows and when you go to middle of country its becoming cold and not tropical at all in the north and eastern provinces of Sri lanka have dry climate ,and looks more like california landscapes ( chaparral biome ) southern parts of central sri lanka has rain forests with sub tropical climate sri lanka have almost every type of biomes and climates except desserts and snow, but sri lanka have hailstorms instead of snow

no in coastal areas , summer temperature goes up as 35 while in central sri lanka summer maximum is also just 26-27 winter months coastal areas minimum temperature falls 20-22 while in central sri lanka ,it falls to 5 -7@@DewminaRandeniya

The boys are playing cricket with a tennis ball not a proper cricket ball which is made out of leather. That can cause serious injury if you don't know what you're doing, & not wearing protective gear hence a tennis ball is used in a public place.

Sri lankan curries taste better and less spicy with rice. you can also try chicken fried rice, hoppers (plain and with eggs), milk rice and chicken/egg kottu. For fast food you can try fish rolls, egg rolls, wadei, fish/egg pastries. Enjoy your stay in Sri lanka 😊

this part of sri lanka climate is as same as western countries. especially england , so sri lankans make british architecture houses all over this area, this area is totally developing to western stranderds bcz of the climate reason , this is the top domestic tourist destination for locals too, its prohibited to build more than 4 storey buildings in here now ,and its something you should do if you make houses here,use british architecture ,,(this is not a law ,but its like a law that people should follow but even if you break it , you dont have bad concequences) I think you get what Im trying to say
